It’s the simple things. Many of the suggestions contained in the book are things that I have heard before, but sometimes you need a reminder to take a little time and look at the small things instead of the big picture. This book helps you to do that. The organization of the book is spot on and the suggestions for ideas to help relieve and deal with stress are good. There are also quite a few resources contained within the book from apps to other books and even podcasts. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.
I found most of the advice here fairly basic if you have a background in meditation and breathwork, but great ideas for readers who don't or to provide guidance for those who want to avoid turning to unhealthy coping mechanisms in the moment.
An excellent look at methods to relieve stress. Lots of great and quick ideas to relieve stress.
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.
Dr. Elena Welsh's 5-Minute Stress Relief is an easy to reference resource with simple and helpful solutions for reliving small irritations and larger on-going issues. Very helpful book to have on hand, and I'll use (and share) many of her suggestions.
I loved this book. It is a quick reference guide and the exercises are only five minutes (as the title suggests). I would highly recommend this book as everyone has some sort of stress in their lives.
I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy free of charge. This is my honest and unbiased opinion of it.
This was a really easy quick reference guide to manage stress. Loads of techniques to utilize that are easily accessible and can accomplish in 5 minutes or less, or take more time to really focus on the stress relief. All methods in book were things that any person can do and was formatted in a way to go back to reference any time for easy convenience.
I love this book! I got it at the beginning of one of the most stressful situations I have been in. I am considered high risk for the coronavirus. I was put on isolation at home long before the governor mandated it. This book was put to the test! I found it very helpful. The language is easy to understand. The ideas were a mix of some I knew and some new. Not all of them were for me but many I found useful. I loved quite a few. I am using ideas from this book daily. I love how the author walked me through some of them. I found that many of the ideas to reduce stress that worked for me, were ones that also worked for my grandchildren. The multigenerational stress relievers make this book a winner for me!
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher of this book for providing an ecopy for review consideration. I voluntarily reviewed this book. All thoughts are based on my experience reading and using this book.
This is a great resource for when stressful situations arise. It is also great for those few minutes you have in a waiting room before a stressful appointment. The techniques are simple and actually work! Highly recommend!
Everyone experiences stress - some of us more than others. What's important is to fully understand what is normal with stress and what is not. There are a lot of exercise options within this book. Not everything works for the same person, but I'm sure you'll find something in this book to help you out. This book is sure to help improve your day!
Great stress relief guide that covers the basic bases - yoga, breathing, meditation, etc. Would be lovely to always have on hand!

This book is really great in explaining stress and what is and what is not normal. There are a lot of exercises that are very similar, but there is a pleasant variety of new exercise as well. If anything this book could help you find the thing that can help you make your day more pleasant.
I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.
Who doesn’t experience stress and could use some relief from it? Certainly if it only takes a few moments of your time?
Being a person that stress and overthinks about the smallest things, I was happy finding this little book full of tips. It really gives, simple, and easy, step by step exercises.
No matter your personality or daily routine, there’s something for everyone.
That’s one handy little guide.
For someone who is always stressed out from work, home and family matters, I loved this book. I found myself feeling calmer just reading it. They literary walk you through the process and give you multiple examples of how this can be done. Some didn’t work for me but others did. Highly recommend to anyone who’s just trying to gain some relief from their stress.
