I'm still somewhat of an air fryer novice, and I'm always looking for new recipes. These recipes are simple, easy to prepare, and tasty, which are all plusses in my book.
A basic cookbook for learning how to use an air fryer. I’ve used a few of the recipes so far with good results. Some recipes tend to rely on some premade sauces or seasonings when it would be just as easy to make your own.
I got an air fryer earlier this year and wasn't sure what to cook or how to cook it. This cookbook gave me a lot of recipes to try. My air fried chicken is amazing now, there's a whole chapter about it in the book! I'm buying a copy of this one. 5 stars.
Thanks to Callisto Media and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
An excellent look at how to cook with an Air Fryer. Excellent, easy to follow to recipes.
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.
I just got an air fryer and this was the perfect book to get me started! I really appreciated the cooking charts. WE really liked the mozzarella sticks and stuffed mushrooms. I have a few more bookmarked to try too!
What sorcery is this?! I have had my air fryer for almost two years and had used it zero times before reading this book. Now my wife and I have favorites from every chapter we keep coming back to:
Breakfast - Blueberry Pancake Popovers
Snacks and Appetizers - Ranch Roaster Chickpeas; Parmesan Dill Fried Pickles
Seafood: Crab cake sliders!
Poultry: Chicken Fajitas; Turkey Breast
Beef, Pork, and Lamb: Meatloaf, Italian Meatballs
Vegetables and Sides: They are all sooooo goooood!
Desserts: Pumpkin Fritters; both of the apple desserts
If you are like me and were hesitant to try an air fryers, buy this book and get to cooking!
We recently purchased an air fryer. We knew we could make French Fries but not much else. This book was so helpful! We can now make all kinds of things I had no idea you could air fry. We made Hard-Boiled Eggs, (who knew?), muffins, even chocolate chip cookies! Other recipes we loved were for making potato chips, Parmesan Dill Fried Pickles, salmon patties and a variety of other meats and vegetables. I found the recipes easy to follow.
The first chapter of the book was very helpful for us newbies. People who already know their air fryer basics can skip this but may want to skim through for some useful tips. There is also a frozen food cooking chart that made cooking some of our favorites, breezy. We will be using this one a lot. I plan to give my daughter an air fryer as her birthday gift and I will be including a copy of this book.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for providing an ecopy for review consideration. I voluntarily reviewed this book. All thoughts are my honest opinion after reading and using this book.
Air Fryers are very trendy right now, and since there can be a learning curve when learning to use them, The Essential Air Fryer Cookbook for Beginners: Easy, Foolproof Recipes for Your Air Fryer is an excellent, timely cookbook for anyone who wants to learn the basics and also prepare quick, easy dishes in the air fryer. Laurie Fleming, the author, is a recipe developer and food blogger, and certainly knows her stuff.
This excellent cookbook has something for everyone. There are recipes for breads, desserts, vegetables, side dishes, and poultry, as well as meat and seafood recipes. Favorites include: Loaded Potato Skins, Blueberry Pancake Poppers (addicting), Air Fryer Cajun Shrimp, and Perfect Air Fryer Pork Chops (and they are perfect!). Others in the queue for testing include Easy Chocolate Frosted Donuts, Old Fashioned Air Fryer Meatloaf, Simple Roasted Garlic Asparagus, and Air Fryer Southern Fried Chicken.
There are also excellent charts for cooking fast/frozen/convenience foods, as well as fresh foods. These are very helpful. The first chapter is Air Fryer 101- and covers most of the methods and answers questions new air fryer users need to know; even experienced air fryer users can learn from this cookbook.
While there are a few beautiful photographs, there aren’t nearly enough. The recipes are compelling, and readers want to see what their finished products will look like. Unfortunately, this is possible. However, the recipes are mouthwatering, and even though most aren’t pictured, cooks will be tempted to make them anyway. This is an excellent cookbook that will be a nice addition to a good cookbook collection.
Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this amazing cookbook. This book is already published and available but I wanted to try at least 3 recipes before I reviewed so better late than never. My favorite has been the Homemade blueberry muffins and cinnamon rolls. My kids loved both of them. I am excited to keep sampling recipes from this cookbook. I also plan to order one as a housewarming gift for some good friends of ours and think it will make an incredible gift for the foodie in your life.
We purchased an air fryer due to wanting an easy way to make fried food that isn't greasy. However, since neither one of us enjoys cooking, we had been using it for simple things like fries, tater tots, chicken patties and other simple things. This cookbook showed us how much more this appliance can do! I cannot wait to make more of the delicious looking recipes! The ones that we have made have been delicious.
Who would ever think this Air Fryer would win me over, especially growing up on Crisco Southern Fried chicken.and other lard-filled delicacies. I originally wanted to look at this cookbook to give my daughter some ideas on what to make in her air fryer besides chicken and cut potatoes as fries. I was wowed by the appetizers, entrees, and yes people, even desserts. And not to mention its fast, easy, better for you and tasty. My daughter's boyfriend is in shock over her coming home exhausted, living in NYC and producing tasty dinners, not to mention healthy!
What a great cookbook for beginners and old-timers like myself. I'd advise anyone to purchase an air fryer along with this book and wow your husband, wife, boyfriend or neighbor with these tasty treats and dishes.
A special thanks to Campus to Media and Rockridge Press and of course NetGalley for this amazing ARC of something my daughter and I enjoyed. Thank you Laurie Fleming, great job!
I love cooking and cookbooks and I recently gave in and bought an air fryer for my family. This cookbook has great information for those new to air frying. It has comprehensive cooking tables, equipment lists and lots of info to get you started.
The recipes are varied and very family friendly. I just wish there were more recipe photographs. This is a wonderful cookbook to get cooks started on air frying.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Lots of fun and different recipes, neatly organized by protein and meal occasion. I'll definitely try most of them, so far the seafood recipes I've done have proven fast and delicious with minimal amount of oil, which is the point of the airfryer. The only negative of the book is there aren't that many pictures. Recommend!
This book is full of info, tips, and tricks to using your air fryer. It also has some amazing recipes that go beyond most air fryer cookbooks - biscuits anyone? (haven't tried that one yet but it's on my list). This was easy to follow, the recipes were all simple, and the photographs were great.
This book is definitely essential. There’s basic info going over the features of an air fryer and even how to clean it. The other half dives into recipes.
This had a lot of great recipes. Some things I never thought could be made in the air-fryer. I’m excited to try some of these.
I've tried the Healthy Carrot Chips and the Broccoli with Parmesan Cheese. Both were tasty and easy, with clear directions which is exactly what you want in an air fryer cookbook. I look forward to trying more recipes.. I wish that the recipes were a bit more creative, but this is a good book to familiarize yourself with the air fryer. I especially appreciate that the book labels recipes "gluten free," "family friendly" etc.
Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy of The Essential Air Fryer Cookbook for Beginners.
I literally want to eat everything in this book right now. I’m no stranger to my air fryer but this book gave me some really good ideas for recipes of things I wouldn’t think to even cook in it. I’ve already bookmarked a few and can’t wait to try them!
If you read my cookbook reviews at all you know I would push my mom down the stairs for a good piece of chicken and this cookbook devotes an entire section to it! Joy!!
But also biscuits, blueberry muffins, carrot chips, potato skins (Help me Jesus!!), chicken fajitas, butter chicken, and hamburgers? Yes please!!
Many of the recipes are health conscious but not all of them, some are just indulgent goodness. The recipe for 16 chicken wings calls for a stick of butter, for instance.
My air fryer has become an integral part of meal preparation at our house and this cookbook collection has not only some amazing recipes but also some great tips for care and maintenance. And yesterday I went to Amazon and grabbed the pre-cut parchment paper I knew nothing about before I read about it here. What a game changer that will be for clean-up!
Thank you to Laurie Fleming, Callisto Media Rockridge Press and NetGalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Wow, what a great tool for people new to air frying. Not only does it explain the different modes/setting, but it has some great and tasty looking recipes. I have tried a few and they were delicious.
I highly recommend this cook book to air frying novice to the intermediate fryer, great tool
