I was so excited to read this Jennifers new book,Her novels never fail to draw me in, involve me.This was not her usual lighthearted story, it covers serious subjects like bullying . So well written so emotional like all her books I could not put it down highly recommend. #netgalley #st.martins

Big Summer is different from all the other Jennifer Weiner books I’ve read, in a good way! It dealt with some hot topics such as living in the spotlight of social media as well as finding a way to love yourself the way you are with a little mystery thrown in. I really enjoyed it!

I would read anything and everything Jennifer Weiner ever wrote, so when I recieved an ARC of "Big Summer", I was so excited. However, I was not prepared for how amazing it would be. I loved every minute of it and when it was over, I felt satisfied and complete.

I expected a delightful, light, summer beach read with a simmering love. I did not expect the twists and turns and surprises this book brought. I could feel myself in the characters-- do I trust this person or that person?

I also loved that while Daphne was described as plus size, Weiner never assigned numbers or sizes. It allows the reader to form their own visions and truly prove that size does not equal beauty.

This might be Weiner's best read yet and should be in everyone's beach bags this summer!

I’m not sure where to start with this review. I do not believe in bashing authors...ever. I liked the writing style and the storyline. But I hated the bullying over the main characters weight and how she felt people were just using her because of her influence on IG.

Wow, this was a quick and addictive read! It wasn't your standard Jennifer Weiner fare, and it was nice not knowing anything about this book before I read it. The book kind of felt like two separate stories, and I was more interested in Daphne and her relationship with her body than I was with the other dominant story line (no spoilers!), but it was a fun and unexpected twist. I really loved the body positive and social media messages in the book, this will be a fun summer read!

3.75 stars. I purposely didn’t read the book flap as I wanted to be surprised, and I was! What I thought would be a cute rom-com had a lot more twists and turns than I could have imagined. I stayed up late to finish it.
