I found this to be an enjoyable read, keeping me on my toes throughout. The storyline was written well and flowed seamlessly. I look forward to reading more by this author!

This is an Erotic anthology book, so it was great for quick and easy reading. The book is full of all kinds of stories, which means you will for sure find some you love and others not so much. I typically prefer books that have a more flowing story, but this was great for the beach with a cocktail in my hand. I can say this is also a great book to try and discover some new authors.

An exquisite collection!

A collection of twenty short erotica stories from new and established authors from Bold Stroke Books and edited by the amazing Victoria Villasenor. There really was a story for everyone in here, with some a bit more extreme and racy than others but they all the ticked the box for being amazing erotica stories.

I adored each and every story and found the topics covered (even with them all being erotica) were quite the variety. Each author had a different view of what they consider erotica, and Victoria has brilliantly engineered them into a varied and unique collection. Some stories were sensual and some were hot and steamy, either way each one was of the highest quality and beautifully written.
It was great to discover some new authors work and some that I haven’t previously read but also to read some amazing stories from fantastic authors I adore.

I couldn’t even pick a favourite story because they were all so different and in each one I found something to connect with, adore, or just learn from so each one was special to me. All the authors were completely fabulous, and given that some were first time being published, or new authors to the genre, they were all top quality stories that didn’t disappoint. I really do recommend this amazing collection of erotica to any fan of the genre. You will not be disappointed with this steamy and hot collection.

Odd to say, but the scenes escalated to quickly. There was not enough build up to make the pay off worthwhile. It took away from the actual sex scene.

This stunning collection of 20 erotica short stories sizzles off the page.
This collection features undeniably steamy stories from a large variety of lesfic authors with many different levels of heat and kinks. There is something for every erotica reader in these pages and you may just find a new favorite author. I was blown away by Silk and Leather, this collection is sweet, fun, naughty, invigorating, and mind-blowingly hot. I loved every story in this book and found many new authors to enjoy. I cannot hype this book up enough. The abundance of lavish and highly erotic stories is truly delightful and oh so satisfying. Without a doubt a must read.

This is a really good collection BDSM erotica with a balanced selection of stories which aren’t too hard core to be accessible to most. I enjoyed most but my favourites are the ones by LL Shelton, M Ullrich, Holst and Nell Stark. I haven’t read a novel by LL Shelton but she is on my list now.

All aboard - ll shelton
Using clothing as the characters names makes a very clever and sensual take on an interlude of 'strangers on a train'. On a long trip to New York, Silk needs something to keep her occupied. Lace and Leather might be just the thing. The fabric types already give one a preconceived list of attributes to ascribe to each character that keeps the story short and clean (well, not erotically). There's a lovely ethereal quality to this story with no names or conversation.

Engagements by M Ullrich
A fantastic slice of erotic fantasy revenge. Written from Miranda's point of view, it's the first time she meets her girlfriend, Allie's, parents. Allie's brother has just gotten engaged to Eve, Allie's first heartbreak. Some of the things I loved are that it's written from the femme's point of view, that Miranda is all for Allie and the lovely jabs of spite at the ex.

Inflorescence by Elba Holst
I just love the way Holst writes. It’s always a little off-centre, a little unexpected. Horticulturalist and gardening journalist, Millie is afflicted by probably the worst thing that could happen to a woman. She is unable to bring herself to orgasm on her own. The premise is quirky, which wonderful in itself, but it's the writing and the clever use of flowers and gardening that makes it so good.

Be good to mama by Ali vali
Dr Winton Samuel finds the setting of her medical conference quite different from those she's attended before. Seated at the centre table of the burlesque show, it's the last act that really grabs her attention. I didn't really feel the connection and found it a little predictable.

Taking a Leap by Kitty McIntosh
A lovely, nameless, faceless story of secret desires. The narrator has been building her collection of toys and gets a chance to use them when she books a trip for a special weekend away. I quite enjoy stories that have only one main character and how they go about finding and expressing their pleasure.

The Bet by Sandy Lowe
Meg has lost a bet but can she go through with it? This is a hot story about sex and pleasure. Meg's not interested in a relationship and Lane is not going to give more than she wants. It's erotic in both dialogue and action.

In a Place Like This by Rebecca Stieglietz
KT catches Diana's eye at a party in a club. Hot and heavy on the dance floor, Diana really wants KT, but maybe not quite this publicly. It's pure lust with some strap-on action. No surprises, but the sex is hot and dirty.

The Layover by TL Hayes
When her flight lands, Tanya is summonsed for some playtime downtown. The layover plays out with some dominance and submission. Although it's sexy, there was enough allusion for me to want more of a story to it.

Stolen Moments by Beck Robertson
Waiting in a hotel bar for a much younger colleague, Suzettte is having misgivings about what she's hoping for. She's been flirting with Chloe for a while but she's held back. This is a very sexy interlude of first-time lesbian but I had my own misgivings around the story. Sometimes it's difficult to hold back on one's own judgment but I also like having the boundaries of my preconceptions pushed.

Tied to Pleasure by Renee Roman
Mel decides to take her friend Jill to a leather club with her one evening. Jill seems keen enough but Mel hasn't given her very much explicit information regarding what to expect. When the floorshow begins, Jill is surprised at her reaction and her following request. While the sex is hot, I found I was disconnected from the story.

Playing with Fire by Lacie Rae
A librarian and a firefighter? Nothing short of a fantasy fireball. Andrea is the new manager of the city library and the fire alarm going off constantly is one of the many problems she has to resolve. Taylor ignites her from the moment she sees her. This is hot.

With Pleasure by Nicole Stiling
This is the first short story I've read by Stiling and I hope she writes a lot more. Paige is at her best friend's bachelorette party and probably wouldn't be there if she had the option. When Vivian, the demonstrator of the workshop they've booked, walks in Paige's knees go weak at the sight of her. It's a quick and compact story with great kissing and loads of heat.

Learning to Ask by Butch Indeep
Ellie is at the restaurant waiting for Damian to arrive. The appearance of Damian makes her hot and a little breathless. I enjoyed this story for its difference as much as its sexiness. Damian is non-binary so it takes a page or two to get used to the pronouns. Ellie's reticence is a lovely aspect too because it heightens the anticipation.

Absinthe Kiss by Tina Michele
The descriptions in this story are so beautiful and tangible, from the feel of the humidity to the comparison of hair to tendrils of fire. Shea is an artist hav a cup of coffee when she notices a beautiful redhead reading through the classified ads. Drawing Charlotte in charcoal isn't nearly as satisfying as the vision of her in oils.

Excitement Awaits by Amelia Thorpe
Jenna finally gets up the courage to go to a kink club. Her ex told her she was too old and for a moment, while she feels like an outsider in the club, she thinks her ex might have been right. And then the show starts. I found there was a gap between the Jenna who was all ready to leave and the Jenna who was comfortable with public sex that wasn't fully explored.

The key to happiness by Jeannie Leavig
Well, that was unexpected. Ms Warren, top executive is reminded of a lunch meeting by her personal assistant. This is a very good bdsm short with an established couple. It's a tight story with a good premise and loads of chemistry.

Nicolette by CA Hutchinson
A fantastically hot workplace liaison. When Rosie's mind wanders during a meeting Nicolette, her boss, seems quite a bit put out. Demanding Rosie's presence in her office can't be a good thing.

Stripped Bare by Robyn Nyx
It's been a long time since Cree was anybody's submissive but a challenge from a friend makes her think about it again. There is only one domme however, that she would consider to top her. Valentina is a femme fatale and Cree has always thought they shared some chemistry. I love the emotional connection between the two. The physical connection didn't harm either.

Bossy by Raven Sky
Jen knows she's an empowered women but she remembers a time when she found it hard to ask for what she wanted. Then there was a wonderful, pivotal evening when she and her girlfriend had dinner and a few drinks with their good friends Kendra and Ash. The concept of this story didn't tie up for me in a way that made me think that this was the reason Jen was became more assertive. I was given the hope of something mind-altering but left with no more than a polyamorous encounter.

Marks by Nell Stark
Extraordinary. Stark manages to make breath play, edge play and bdsm so beautiful within the bounds of a relationship built on trust. This is beautiful.

I received a free copy of Silk and Leather in exchange for an honest review. This book was made up of a variety of unique short stories by various authors. I tend to enjoy these types of books, because it's easy to pick up or leave it depending on what's going on in life. It also introduces me to different authors that I might not have read or heard of before. I found some stories were better then others, but its all based on personal preferences. Overall, if you are into this type of erotica it's a good read.

ARC received from the publisher through NetGalley in return for an honest review, thank you.

Overall this is a good collection of lesbian erotica with a twist. I'll be honest this was a bit too much for me and I needed a break halfway through which is why this review is so late. I would recommend you read a short story per day so as to not get overwhelmed like I did.

I rated each of the short stories individually and then averaged them to get my overall star rating so:
- All Aboard ★★★★★

I don't often pick up anthologies and I almost never pick up erotic anthologies so I didn't know what to expect going into this. But I ended up really enjoying the tasteful and well written brief stories that were in here. I also really appreciated the diversity of authors and stories so that if you didn't like one style you were sure to like another.

I have to say that I enjoyed this book! Not only are the stories in here pretty hot but it is refreshing to see a non-stereotypical take on lesbian romance. A lot of the time when I read same-sex romance books it comes from the perspective of a heterosexual person writing a romance as if they are a LGBTQIA person. These stories felt more realistic to me. From BDSM to poly relationships even if you are a straight person I would recommend this book as a great way to learn about the different types of lesbian romances that are possible but with an edgier take to it. Highly recommended.

Like all anthology stories, there are good ones and bad ones. my rating is a reflection on my personal enjoyment and not a reflection on the stories themselves. Some of the stories are well written but I just didn't enjoy them. If you are a fan of lesbian erotica then I would recommend it, it just wasn't for me.

I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a super fun erotic read with many different stories to choose from. I took my time reading it and enjoyed every moment!

Silk and Leather by Victoria Villasenor (ed) is a collection of short stories with erotic content. As with most collections, some will leave you with a positive rating and others will leave you wondering "what the heck was that?" I do love collections as the really good stories knock it out of the park and the not so good ones have little investment.
I requested this book somehow missing the word lesbian in the title and as a straight reader, I too, enjoyed many of the stories presented. That's the thing about good writing, it opens the reader up to life outside of themselves! Many thanks to Netgalley and Bold Strokes Books for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Sexy and steamy story time with this latest offering of erotica from BSB. A wonderful distraction during these weird and crazy times.

I really enjoyed some of these stories, but others I ended up not finishing because they didn't hold my attention. Overall, as a collection it was okay.

This was a phenomenal compilation of stories. The first one All Aboard was the absolute perfect way to start off the book and remains my favorite. It has everything that erotica should have, a great beginning to the story as well as a great ending. I won't give much away but this story was HOT HOT HOT. The rest of the stories after that were just okay. Some were well written, but the final story should have been tucked somewhere in the middle.
Whenever I read these books I always find that the first and last are the best stories, not so much in this one. This first story was great and it went downhill after that. Further one of my favorite authors Ali Vali wrote one of the stories and I did not like it at all.

Some of my favorites were In a Place Like This, The Layover, and The Key to Happiness, and With Pleasure. All of the stories were engaging, but some were just not the best topic or subject.

This is a good book and I totally recommend it.

Story collections can be a real mixed bag, but I found that I really enjoyed most of the stories in this book. There is enough variety to appeal to many different tastes. I have a pretty broad range of things that I like in stories, which is why think I enjoyed this more than others may. If you only like a few types of romance/sex stories, you may like a few stories and dislike many others.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.

Silk and Leather: Lesbian Erotica with an Edge, edited by Victoria Villasenor is a collection of twenty erotic short stories by award winning authors that most of us know and love. Many of them are authors who have published works with Bold Strokes Books, but some are also indie authors. All of them are excellent writers and their stories prove that.

All of the stories are erotica, so of course they all have explicit sex scenes. They also all have the silk and leather theme in the stories as well. I kind of enjoyed looking for those mentions in each story. Some of the tales have mild BDSM themes, some are stories of pure sexual encounters, and some were more romance oriented with explicit sex added in. In other words, there will be something in this collection for everyone.
As with all story collections, there will be some stories that a reader will like more than others. However, all of the stories are well written and easy to read in one sitting, and with twenty stories in the book, you will have plenty to enjoy.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for an honest review.
