'Little Book of Kindness' with story and pictures by Francesca Pirrone is a book for younger readers with a lesson in being nice to others.
Some things to do to be kind are followed by pictures showing the results. Things like 'Lend a helping hand' show a bird in Winter and our guide, the pig, building a birdhouse to help keep the bird warm. There are things like taking turns or being patient and saying thank you.
They are simple concepts, and perfect for little readers to learn early. The wordless illustrations form the story of what happens when we choose kindness.
I received a review copy of this ebook from Clavis Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.
This book was so adorable! The message is so gentle and easily understandable. The best part is the various problems that arise, and the simple and kind solutions that make everything better. This book gave me hope in the midst of the world collapsing unto itself, so for any children who read this, the message will be loud and clear. Just be kind. Even if no one is kind back to you, it's important to be kind for the sake of kindness.
I loved the illustrations, they were simple, cute, subtle, and efficient supported the story and the text on each page. That pig is doing more for the environment than anyone I know. My favorite part was the hidden cat in the trash can. That was definitely a pleasant surprise as I couldn't see it coming. I hope that pig and their kitty cat have the best life surrounded by friends and well-wishers.
Amazing book! 10/10 recommend!

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for access to this arc.
When I saw this cover I realized it’s impossible to resist reading about a pig in short pants. Especially if he’s clasping a cat. In sweet drawings and simple text, Pig shows how easy it is to be kind and helpful. To look out for others in ways both large and small. It takes almost nothing yet the rewards are great. This is a charming book that works for all ages and helps spread joy. B
We all need more kindness and to be more kind! I love this cute, short book. My 6 year old son loved it too.
"It's easy to be kind. Offer a smile. Say thank you. Lend a helping hand. You'll see that when you are kind, others are kind too."
We could all do with a little more kindness these days.
What a great little book! I love this book and I wish so much that one day there will be such a school subject or that such journals will be used in schools. It is not performance and good grades that make a person, but friendliness, appreciation, respect, humanity, gratitude and satisfaction with oneself!
Little book about kindness. A cute little book that you can mixup pictures and children can learn to be kind. Children love stories about things that are not too long.
This story is a cute book and teaches kids different ways to be kind. I love how this book shows kids different ways to be kind such as saying thank you, sharing, taking turns, and smiling. I also love the illustrations. Great book for children!
Beautifully illustrated book and lovely words. Really impressed well done to the author for a wonderful little tale very very beautifully told. Thank you for letting me read this
A great book to show kids that kindness comes in many ways and how being kind can change someones perspective of themselves and others.

My thoughts...
Just like the description, this book is straight to the point. This is an adorable book about the act of kindness. The sweet and simple illustrations are captioned with very few words. I liked this a lot. There’s a lot of room for adults to expand on the illustrations such as creating a story for it. And, I agree about this book being “for people of all ages.” In our current times, some adults may need a reminder on how to be kind.
This is a gorgeous book about how we can all look after each other. The illustrations in this book are beautiful and unique. It is really the perfect embodiment of the phrase 'Be Kind'.
I want to buy this for my nephew. This small comic teaches kindness in various examples. Like waiting in line, offering someone help, and how to play with others. This is an excellent book for little kids, and the art style is simple, but it is still adorable.
A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E!!! Perfect for any child or any adult that likes books with a feel good message. I must have this book at home :)
This book expresses so much with a low word count. The acts of kindness on each page lifted my spirits. I'm fortunate to have read this via NetGalley, courtesy of the publisher.
A beautifully drawn, simple book which highlights how easy it is to show kindness in little ways. Perfect for all ages.
I adoreeee this book.
What a simple and sweet little book. So great for any reader out there, especially the young ones for sure. The illustration is really cute and clear to teach them about kindness :) But honestly, it would really make a great little gift for anyone.
This is a quick book focussed mainly on illustrations of various acts of kindness, I loved the rabbit the best myself but all the animals are cute and the small captions accompanying the pictures are to the point and sum up kindness perfectly.
Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!
If you have ever had the time to think how difficult it is to be kind in this world , then Little Book of Kindness is just the right book to pick up. This book is a completely wholesome, sweet, and absolutely adorable read.
This book is lovely with brief moments of short text, followed by pages of illustrations acting out the ways to be kind. The focus is on little everyday things one can do (smile, share, clean up, etc.) to be kind, making this both accessible and a calm read. The illustrations are charming, mostly graphite with small bursts of color. I highly recommend this book, for it is easily digestible and also a great tool for teaching about behavior.
