Slow to start with fun characters and a good mix of mystery and magic. The double twin piece was an interesting idea for the plot. I felt overall the novel dragged a bit but the ending well well written.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC copy to review.
Hi, I lost the eARC of this book so I won't be able to review this book. I hope you understand. I really wanted to read it but unfortunately my phone got formatted and I lost the copy.
this was a great start to a series, the characters were great and I really enjoyed getting to know this world and the inhabitants.
My thanks to B A Knight, Michael Terence Publishing and Net Galley for the ARC of THE SECRET OF THE TWIN PARCHMENTS.
The title is alluring but I hadn't realised it was YA which I don't read, however I finished it and found it an entertaining read. Lots of mystery, magic and suspense which will appeal to teens.
They wanted answers about their missing parents. They follow the clues left in their home in England to find the lost diary of their mother. Two twin sisters start a treasure hunt filled with danger and excitement. They cross paths with two twin brothers and a time traveler who is chasing the diary which is in fact a magical and powerful parchment capable of transforming written word into reality.
A fun fantasy adventure for younger teens with all the glamour of first love, the romance of Paris, the excitement of forbidden magic and the mystery and adventure of lost parents, secrets and spies. I enjoyed reading this.
Thank you Michael Terence Publ!shing & NetGalley for my free copy of this book.
I didn’t realise from the synopsis that this was a YA adventure book, sounded like another version of a Dan Brown type book which I love. This is written very basically but still descriptive and keeps your attention.
Lots of unanswered questions once finished, let’s hope book 2 isn’t far behind.
This story is but slow at beginning but it setting up to the further things in it. The characters are unique but sometimes a bit to slow. The last part of story was my favorite as all the things click together. Great story. Overall I liked reading this book can't wait to read next book in the series.
