Loved this book. A quick and enjoyable read with tons of heart! I liked that was a little magic- realistic fiction with just a touch of mysticism. The characters are full and complex, and the story wraps up nicely.

I really enjoyed this story about what happens when you make a decision that you later regret. Emelia makes a choice between Ben and Alistair and six months later she begins to think "what if." I think this is something that everyone has thought at one point, but Emelia actually gets to change that decision, only nothing turns out the way she expected.
I really enjoyed this story and was shocked at the way the story played out, because I was expecting something very different. I am so glad it wasn't what I expected, because Honeybourn created an even more interesting, complicated story than I would have expected. At the same time, I almost wish we could see what would've happened.
The reason this book is getting 3 stars is because of the ending and the length. I think the author wanted to leave it kind of open ended and go with the theme of things not always being straightforward or what you want them to be. Although I understand this, I still wish we got to see a little more like what will happen to all of them at the end of the summer at least. I also finished this book in 2 hours. While I thought it was great and sometimes I love how quick a read is, I felt like there was so much left in the air that the author could have expanded on to make it that much better.
Despite that I would still recommend this book to anyone looking for a unique, quick, summer read.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC.

This was a really cute quick read. I liked Emelia and her friends. I liked how she really learns some life lessons in having a do over of the life you had and how everything really can change when you only wanted one thing to change.
Super cute, fun characters!

I wouldn't say this book was but, but it felt incomplete and underdeveloped. The book felt short - I remember being surprised at how quickly I was proceeding through it.

As for things that were underdeveloped: the characters felt very flat and cliche. For example, the only thing we know about one of the main characters is that he likes movies and playing Settlers of Catan. So? I didn't feel a compelling reason to like him - or any of the other characters. The plot also relies on a fantastical device - a stone that changed the present and future. There was no real explanation of how or why our narrator got it, as opposed to some other person. Although "...it was all a dream." would have been trite, it would have made more sense than the ending of "Well, I guess that's just the way it is now." It was very hard to suspend disbelief.
