"It took all of thirty seconds for two shots to bring the world of Margaret Tabaaha crashing down around her. After losing her husband in Afghanistan during the first year of Operation Enduring Freedom, her two sons were all she had left. Now they had been taken from her violently, deliberately, plunging her into a whiskey bottle and stripping away her reason for living"
I cannot wait to read the first book - which is rare for me when I realize Im reading the 2nd book in a series and missed the first (sad face).
A great story written fabulously that twists and pulls at your heart, questions so much and brings it around through all your emotions.... I highly recommend this one - BUT start from Book 1 please!
Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for my complimentary ARC in exchange for an honest review. Please excuse my tardiness in posting my review as my TBR continuously grows and I keep finding so many book with so little time!
So much gratitude for this copy shared with me, always xo
This book was brilliantly written. From start to finish it is told with such passion you won't want to put it down.
It's a quick read and one that keeps you turning pages.
Dealing with PTSD is hard and it's touched in this story in a great way. You will feel like you know these characters and some will relate to them.
Well done. Bravo.
This is the second book in a series. I went and bought the first one and look forward to reading it.
Thank you #NetGalley, #MarkEdwardLangley, #BlackstonePublishing for this ARC. This is my own review.
