Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ebook. All opinions are my own.
This one just wasn't for me. I found myself liking some things and then really not liking the next part or something silly a character did. The ending was a little too outrageous for me as well.
I believe Anne Frasier is one of the most under-rated authors of psychological thrillers. Her stories are always original, dark, and compelling and Find Me does not disappoint. Find Me is the first book in her new Inland Empire series, where convicted serial killer, Benjamin Fisher, agrees to lead San Bernardino detective Daniel Ellis to the graves of his victims in the desert, but only if his estranged daughter, Reni, a former FBI profiler, agrees to accompany them. Reni was five years old when her father was captured. Her father used her as bait to attract his victims and she feels guilty even though she was not aware of what was happening and thought he was playing a game with her.
Having read Frasier's Body Reader series as well her Elise Sandburg series, I knew to expect dark, sinister and creepy. Frasier's characters are seriously messed up, her landscapes vivid and she keeps the reader on edge, always wondering what dreadful and twisted turn will show up next. There is always a hint of evil lurking in the background of her stories. A fantastic and compelling read and I can't wait to read more.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is a hard one to review. The premise is pretty different, I think, but it's a bit predictable. That being said, it was still a page-turner for me, and I hated when I had to put it down to do anything else. Some parts of the story were weird to me, but I can't really put my finger on why. Overall, I did enjoy this one, and I like that it has audio on the Kindle Unlimited version. I will definitely read the next one.
Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for a copy of the ARC.
This book was so good! It was full of twists and turns! I couldn't put it down and it had me grilled til the very end. I would definitely recommend!
I received this ARC from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
If you're looking for a suspenseful & thrilling ride with serial killer vibes then this is the book. I found Find Me to be a super read! It had a super tense plot with strong characters. I absolutely loved Reni & her story. . I'm glad I picked up this book that gave the creepy vibes & chills - everything I need in a book. For some reason, with the desert atmosphere & the story about a serial killer, I kept imagining Ben Fisher as Keith Carradine because of a Criminal Minds episode I watched years back. It's funny how certain things can trigger such memories- yikes! I liked the fact that this book was set in such a unique place - the Mojave Desert, than most of the others I have read. Who'd have thought a desert can be fascinating?
Given that this was just the first book in the series, it provided great insight into the lives if Reni & Daniel. Both characters had their own set of demons, were flawed & yet saw it through till the end of this messy & personal case. I can't wait to see what this team finds next on their hands! For the most part of this book, the focus was on Reni's memories & experiences as a serial killer's daughter. Daniels's own demons add to the character of this book and both together make for a very interesting read.
Find me was a brilliant start to what I believe will be a great series. This book is a page-turner for sure!
Thank You, NetGalley, Thomas & Mercer & Anne Frasier for an arc!
Anne Frasier knows how to create characters that are strong, intense and dark; characters who are flawed and fighting their own personal demons but yet have a sense of nobility and heroism about them. I have previously read the third book, The Body Keeper, in her Detective Jude Fontaine Mysteries and loved it. Needless to say, I loved every minute of reading this book as well! Looking forward to reading more in this new series. Reni Fisher and Daniel Ellis are a great new addition to the already diverse world of homicide detectives.
I received an e-Arc of the book from the publishers Thomas and Mercer and the author via NetGalley.
This book was published on 1st July, 2020.
This reminded me of a Harlan Coben novel (that was then made into a television series) called The Five. A little too similar for me to enjoy at the moment, but readers will like this I think.
Great mystery/thriller. I can't imagine being a child of a serial killer, never mind used as bait. I have read all of a
Annes' books and enjoyed them all Highly recommend! Thanks to Netgalley & Thomas & Mercer for a copy of this book.

Engrossing, twisty thriller about a former FBI profiler who was the daughter of a serial killer, and was even used by him as a child to lure victims. Now her father is offering from prison to reveal the locations of his victims’ bodies, but he wants to meet with his daughter first.
Find Me is the first book in the Inland Empire series. Reni Fisher, a former FBI profiler, is the daughter of a serial killer. Ben Fisher has spent most of his adult life in jail and Reni has never been to visit him. San Bernardino Detective Daniel Ellis visits Ben in jail to gain information on his victims. Ben agrees to show Detective Ellis the graves of the women he murdered but there's a catch. Ben wants Reni to be there when he reveals the graves. I loved this suspenseful novel and look forward to the next installment. Thanks to NetGalley for my digital copy.
Did not finish this one, to be fair. It was plodding and wandering both. The interesting parts were the flashbacks and those were few and far between enough to justify not continuing to waste my time.
I enjoyed this one a lot. The author has a very easy feel to her writing. The mystery was well laid out and kept me guessing until the end. The principal characters were both likable and well developed. I look forward to the next book in the series. 👍👍
Holy cow! This is definitely an intense book. While not a fast read, it's a good read. With plenty of twists and turns I was completely engrossed. Excellent characters and a well written page turner make this a must read book.
The title of the book was what drew me first to this thriller. Find me.... and thank God I did! This was really good. It might not me a fast read, but it never once got boring. When the story starts we know who the killer is, because he’s been behind bars these last twenty years and is now ready to confess where his victims are buried, but only if his FBI profiler, estranged daughter will be there with him.
I thought the story was going to be about how they finally discovered where the bodies were buried, but there was so much more going on! Our lead-girl Reni is plagued with not being able to remember those nights her father took her hunting down his victims with him when she was only five. What did really happen those nights... and who has killed a young woman just recently and buried her in the desert? Is there another killer out there?
I thoroughly enjoyed this and recommend it to all thriller lovers.
Find Me is the start of a new series set in California about former FBI profiler Reni Fisher, the daughter of a convicted serial killer, and homicide detective Daniel Ellis, who believes Reni’s father killed his mother when he was a child.
I’d read and enjoyed the four books in this author’s Elise Sandberg series, and am always slightly conflicted when characters I’ve enjoyed getting to know are seemingly abandoned in favour of a new series, but feel this was a good start with interesting new protagonists.
Reni lives alone in the Mojave desert, two years after a nervous breakdown forced her to quit the FBI, still ravaged with guilt about being the unwitting lure for the women killed by her father thirty years earlier. Benjamin Fisher contacts San Bernardino Detective Daniel, saying he is finally ready to reveal the location of their graves, but only if Reni accompanies them. Daniel must persuade her to confront her fears if they are to bring closure to the families, but can he trust her when she can’t trust herself?
This is the third series I’ve started in the last year or so about daughters of serial killers, which is an interesting new (to me, at least) trope, as long as it doesn’t become over-used. It’s told in third person from both Reni and Daniel’s perspectives, which worked well. I thought I knew where this was going until about 30% when it went in a completely different but rather welcome direction. Further clever twists follow, although I found the final part increasingly implausible. If you can suspend disbelief, the ending is satisfying, and leaves things open for a sequel, which I will happily read. Frasier writes well, and the desert backdrop is an important part of this story.
My thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC which allowed me to give an honest review, and apologies to the author for the delay in providing it. Find Me is available now.

A bone-chilling family history is unearthed in a heart-stopping thriller by New York Times bestselling author Anne Frasier.
This title was the first in a new series entitled Inland Empire. It was also the first book I have read by this author.
Imprisoned serial killer Benjamin Fisher finally offers detective Daniel Ellis to take him to the graves off his victims, but only if his estranged daughter, renowned FBI profiler Reni Fisher comes too. Reni is hesitant to do so because she is still trying to resolve the trauma of her childhood but she reluctantly agrees because she still feels guilt over her "involvement" in the crimes. What happens then is totally unexpected and leads to additional emotional trauma for Reni.
For Reni the only way to any type of closure is by finding the victims graves and so she agrees to partner with Detective Ellis to attempt to find them, with only the aid of a crude handwritten map drawn by her father.
What I really liked about this book was how well the plot played out. There are many twists that I did not see coming and thought provoking family dynamics, as well as chemistry between Reni and the detective.
I cannot think of anything I would like to see change in this novel. It was very well written and the characters thoughtfully and generously fleshed out.
Overall I would definitely recommend Find Me by Anne Frasier to readers who enjoy a good, fast paced, suspenseful and well fleshed out serial killer tale. This book does not disappoint! I really enjoyed reading this book and Anne Frasier is definitely an author to watch. I look forward to reading more of her work.

Imagine being the adult daughter of a famous serial killer. Now imagine a detective asked you to help him find the bodies of your dad’s victims. But you are suffering severe trauma because when you were a child, your father used you as bait to lure his victims to their death. What memories are reliable?

I thoroughly enjoyed this plot. The twists and turns along the way surprised me and kept me wondering what would happen next. Reni and Daniel both were great characters, each with their own trauma and their own objectives in this book. I also appreciated the desert setting in this book, it felt perfect for this story.

I gave this book 4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and am interested to see what the author does for the following books in this series.
I received this book free from Netgalley for an honest review.
3.5 Stars
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed this book and I wasn’t really expecting what happened at the end but the rest was pretty easy to figure out and it was like a slow burn. My heart was never pounding hard. It was just an okay thriller.
I would still recommend it.
Again, thank you to NetGalley for access to this book. It was a Kindle first option, but I didn’t select it. This decision was really hard, but I added it to my “to read” list because it sounded great. Then it was for immediate request on NetGalley, so problem solved!
Reni is the daughter of a serial killer who is in prison. When she was young, she was the bait for her father. Her life has never been the same, of course. When her dad tells the police that he’ll reveal the locations of all the bodies, as long as Reni accompanies him, she knows she has to do this to give the victims’ families closure. She hasn’t been in contact with her father, but she knows it’s the right thing to do.
This book went on paths I wasn’t expecting, which was great, but a lot was left unfinished. There were too many plot holes and was in desperate need of an editor. Side note: if you’re writing, don’t say a character wore sneakers on her feet. Where else would she be wearing them? That said, there were some great twists that I wasn’t expecting, so I still recommend the book.
Anne Frasier's latest novel centers on the relationship between a serial killer and his daughter. Not only did Benjamin Wayne Fisher bring his child along on his murder nights, he also used her to lure victims to their deaths. Years later, Reni Fisher still grapples with her role in the deaths of more than twenty women. For a time she assuaged her guilt by working an as FBI profiler but now she's hiding out in the Mojave desert. She spends her days making pottery in an attempt to heal.
Her father has different ideas about what he wants her to do, however. He cuts a deal with detective Daniel Ellis, who has his own hidden agenda. If Reni will accompany him, Benjamin will lead Daniel to the graves of his victims. It's a win-win for everybody.
Except for Reni. She's never come to terms with her feelings toward her father. On the one hand, he was the model dad. On the other....he was a monster. And her model father used her.
Not surprisingly, he's about to use her again. Or is he? Is it possible he's protecting her?
Find Me is the first book in the Inland Empire series and I'm looking forward to reading the next one. Frasier's writing style is straightforward, without much excess description, and it fits perfectly with the brutal premise, as well as the bleak but beautiful setting. I've never been to the Mojave desert but I felt the pull of this stark, dangerous land. It's a place of extremes – of heat, of isolation, of poisonous snakes, and of deadly secrets. It's also a place where the sky and the sand dwarf human concerns. In some ways, it's hard to understand why Reni would feel safe there. It also makes perfect sense.
Aside from the setting and the premise, I liked Reni's complicated relationship with her father and Daniel's obsession to find out what happened to his mother. Not all ends are tied up, but the book still has a strong sense of closure. There is suspense as well, though it wasn't the kind of book I couldn't put down. Still, I can't wait to read Tell Me so I can find out the rest of the story.
Much thanks to Thomas & Mercer and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
