Unfortunately I didn't find myself getting that invested in the romance between the two main characters, which is generally the driving force of reading any romance novel, so I didn't particularly vibe with this novel. Others did though, so it may not just be for me.
Cute romance. Super quick was with just enough suspense. Jack was the perfect leading man and all their steamy scenes had me blushing behind my kindle. Will pick up the authors other works for sure!
Thank you netgalley for allowing me to read this early! I saw this arc on numerous bookstagram pages & knew I needed to read it. It definitely didn’t disappoint. The characters and the story were fun & I highly recommend checking it out!
TEN STARS!
I thought that New Orleans Rush was my favorite book by Kelly Siskind but I definitely just made a new favorite!
Don't Go Stealing My Heart was AMAZING! I loved the heroine. Who doesn't like an independent badass? And our hero...oh my! He is kind and sweet and nerdy AND amazing in bed, soooo perfect! The vulnerabilities of each of the characters were so lovingly portrayed. I smiled, I swooned, and I nearly teared up about ten times. I love that Kelly's books make me not want to put them down! They are funny and heartwarming AND sexy.
I cannot wait to read The Beat Match!
A Modern day Robin Hood story with a female Robin Hood character, I was hooked. I loved reading about the misadventures Clementine kept getting herself into. This was a Rom Com in book form and I enjoyed every page of it. This bookish rom com would make an awesome movie.
This was a cute, entertaining, quirky, adorable read. It may not be one of my favorites but it was so much fun to read. I really enjoyed it.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing an advanced copy of “Don’t Go Stealing My Heart” by Kelly Siskind. Thoughts and opinions are my own.
This story started off really strong for me. Clementine is a thief tasked to steal a painting from Jack’s wealthy family. They have great chemistry when they meet and Clementine doesn’t initially realize Jack is her mark. The two then have to navigate their growing feelings towards one another while grappling with their own internal and external conflicts.
Both Clementine and Jack have deep inner conflicts and heavy sadness in their lives. They also have different perspectives of poverty and how to help people in need. I found Clementine’s loneliness to be very moving and relatable.
I thought I would be rating the book much higher as the tension rose during Clementine’s heist scene. I was on the edge of my seat as the perspectives kept switching between Clementine and Jack. But sadly I can pinpoint the exact moment the story turned for me which was when Clementine had a change of heart and decides to confess to Jack everything. It was like the story hit an unexpected wall for me and then never recovered. I would have liked to see more buildup to Clementine wanting out of her thieving. It also seemed really stupid and dangerous to confront Jack like that. They didn’t know each other that well but all of a sudden she’s willing to risk jail time to clear her conscious.
The chemistry that was so compelling at the beginning soured at this point. Clementine and Jack hit full throttle on too much too fast and are suddenly in love and moving in together. But all the while Jack is mistrustful of Clementine and constantly throwing her thieving in her face. I really wasn’t rooting for them at that point. It didn’t seem like they should have tried to work their relationship out. They barely knew each other and had lied to one another on so many levels.
I was glad I hung in for the climax. The Elvis brigade was pretty funny although the casual way those men were willing to potentially throw their lives away for no reason was a bit unbelievable. I also dislike when romance books time skip to avoid all the fallout and consequences. The hurdles the couple had in front of them didn’t seem easily glossed over. It was addressed that there would still be more consequences to come, but it felt like Clementine got off way too easily.
Despite a promising start, I came away from this story wondering why it had fallen so far for me. The direction the story took just didn’t make sense in my opinion but I was compelled enough to finish it. I would read another book by this author, but I hope the characters will have more reasoning for why they want what they want and more realistic development in their relationship progression.
3/5 stars
Thank you so much for the opportunity to be an early reader. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get into this story. I really wanted to like it, but I couldn't get invested in the story. Thank you so much for the opportunity to be a reviewer.
this was so much fun! it's the perfect book for romance lovers. it can be read in one sitting highly recommend.
This book is really cute, really sweet. Don’t Go Stealing My Heart is a Robin Hood story. The romance was well written and the characters were very well matched. It was a fun read.
This was cute and fun, a light read to enjoy in a lazy Sunday but at the same time was a very average read at best.
I feel like this book was written to give me a hug.
I had fun, it kept me holding my breath, made me sigh with their chemistry and hotness. It made me gasp loudly with the plot twist.
Jack is kind, compassionate, family-oriented, shy but bold, sexy, loving and he's now my book husband.
Clementine is special, relatable and so lovable, I wanted to put her on my pocket and protect her from the whole world!
This books was another win for Kelly Siskind. She is always able to toe the line super well in her contemporary romance making all of her books great reads.

The cute cover on this book is a bit misleading. This book was definitely a romance, but also hard hitting! Which is not a bad thing, but I just felt a little cheated. If you like characters with challenging pasts, trying to work through trauma, this might be something you would enjoy. I personally think it felt a bit manipulative and I didn't love it. I also don't love when emotional trauma is used as romantic conflict in a book, and I felt that that was done here. I'm willing to try more from this author in the future, but I didn't love this one, unfortunately.
fun book with quick wit and banter. I really enjoyed this theme and characters. Must read for me. Really enjoyed this one.
Love this book so much because it was really funny! For some reason, I really like characters who are criminals -but don't get the wrong idea. There's a certain extent to that and it definitely depends on the genre of the book. That being said, Clementine is an absolute delight, I love her character so much. Jack and his family were pretty amazing too and his sister is the cutest. I love the banter between characters and the witty conversations and Jack and Clementine are adorable together. <3
This was my first Kelly Siskind book and it was glorious! I really liked the characters Kelly created and I am not a fan. watch my full review here: https://youtu.be/cFYROqhsWyY?t=705
Clementine Abernathy is a modern day Robin Hood, she steals from the rich to help those less fortunate than her. But along the way she falls for one of her marks. The story was funny, charming, and light. The story moved along so it was a quick read. I enjoyed getting to know Clementine and her mark Jack David. I thought I had it all figured out as I was reading it, but then *bam* a plot twist-one with devastating consequences. I can't wait to read more books by Kelly Siskind
I was craving an romance book and Don’t Go Stealing My Heart was perfect! I loved our main character Clementine - she reminded me of a female version of White Collar. A striking lead female antagonist that stops at nothing to fool her marks and grab her treasure.

Clementine, a modern day Robin Hood is conducting her latests heist involving stealing a Van Gogh. Turns out millionaire Jack, the egotistical owner is sexy and kind-hearted. Falling for her mark is the last thing she wanted. Now she’s imagining a fresh start with Jack, but will her past come back for her?

I really enjoyed this one and couldn’t put it down. Clementine and Jack were very developed characters and were totally couple goals. You knew overall, that Clementine was going to want a "normal" life after falling for Jack. Siskind wrote this in such a way that you can't help but fall in love with both characters. I was impressed with how submerged I was with Siskinds writing. They both had so much baggage and worked through it separately and together. I was rooting for both of them to come together after their meet cute. I loved their relationship with the banter, flirtatious nature, and mystery. I loved the little bit of mystery Kelly added towards the ending..but I don’t want to give it away. Just read it. Also, I might want a bearded dragon now!
This book was fun- took a standard romance and added Elvis impersonators, car burglary, and reptiles. I did not anticipate all of this and I enjoyed it. There is a lot here, it is very emotional, deep and at times dark. The ending was a bit predictable but was still enjoyable.
