I sadly never read the second book. Therefore, it was hard to get into the story. The ending was actually great. Also, it was easy to read and that's why I ended it in one day.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The unpaired is a well written book that is the final installment in a series.
While the book can be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the series in order.
Ithe characters and world building are interesting. I find it odd how the virus is similar to our current covid virus, ever changing and adapting. Life imitating art?
The unpaired is a well written book that is the final installment in the series I really enjoyed it. It kept my attention from beginning to the end and the overall story-line and characters are interesting. I was fascinated by the virus and found my self wanting to know more. Even though this is the final book in the series I feel it could easily be revisited and expanded upon if the author ever chooses to do that.
I really liked how the action is well developed and ramps up quickly keeping your attention! This book is a real page turner and I wish the book was longer.
I recommend not reading this as a stand alone I have not read the other books so I had a learning curve and was a bit lost at times but the story is soooo good I was ok with it. Now I'm just basically excited me to read the other books so I can catch up on what I missed.
The plot will leave you breathless at times and fantastically done. I received this book from NetGalley and Relay Publishing for an honest review.

I really liked the concept the plot was based on. While a good idea, the series could be better. There were a lot of additives that could be taken out or redone. There are a lot of ideas that don't span the series well, there are lots of hole in the plot. The love "triangle" feels forced and weird. Two brothers? Best friends would be better, and really I can't see Jared trying to manipulate anyone after all he has been through. It felt like the characters started out as one set of people and instantly changed into something else in the second and third novels.
I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.
