I really enjoyed reading this book. Madame Demidova has created the perfect oasis in Palm Springs. Women flock to the Spa for various reasons but they all come with secrets and she keeps them all. The author does a really good job creating an inside look at the spa. The characters are an interesting group. The writing is good and it is a quick read. This book is a wonderful beach read. Enjoy
i really enjoyed reading this book, it was a unique read for me and I really enjoyed the characters and the story itself.
Here we get an insiders view of life in the spa lane. No amount of luxury is spared in comfort and privacy. The rich and pampered are offered a privacy many desperately need for the owner knows every client . It is the exclusive mission of Lavender Lane to go beyond . I found this a clever insight into the privilege and the promise of the Spa brochure.
I would like to thank NetGalley, Black Rose Writing, and author Phyllis Melhado for providing me with an ARC of this book!
If you liked Liane Moriarty’s novel Nine Perfect Strangers, pick this up! This is an amazing book filled with a wonderful and crazy cast of characters. This would be an awesome pick for a book club (when we’re done quarantining) or for a beach read. It just has that vibe about it. I never read this author before, but I will be looking into her. Her writing style is to die for and allows you to completely immerse yourself in the story. The sense of girl power within this novel is also AWESOME!
Pick this up on May 7! Thank you to those named above for the opportunity to read & review this ARC.
What a fun and sassy read! This book is perfect for a book club or your summer beach read this year. It's a slightly naughty yet laugh out loud story that stays with you. The author has a wonderful writing style deftly written characters and a well developed plot. I loved the ending, which I don't get to say often enough for books. I love that it celebrates the sense of being a woman, in all aspects of life; in loving herself, love relationships, friendships and even second chances at careers. I found myself totally engrossed with this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done!
