This is my first read by this author. The prologue hits you with a bang. April waking up to two men who aren't her fiance. This book was very hot with lots of sex. Unfortunately towards the end I started skimming some of the sex scenes. It needed just a little bit more drama. Would have been great to see the ex see April happy with her two husbands and him miserable.

It was a quick read and won't be my last by this author. Thankyou Netgalley for approving me to read this arc in an exchange of an honest review.

My first MFM read. I was curious lol, how a story is with two males sharing one female. Is it all fine and dandy. Will there be conflicts? Will it be happly ever after?

Riana getting cheated on the night before her wedding and then she gets left with a bill and tbings taken away from her is crucial but bumñing into her ex Quinn and his ffiend Austin. They help her out and a hot offer comes out of it. As I was reading my POV, I dont blame Quinn to feel and think of Riana as a "Gold digger " because thats how it exactly seemed, Her decision making wasn't that smart

This story was good but i feel it needed a little more to its plot. It was a whole lot of sex in every chapter. They were like bunnys, one hoped off and the other hoped on and a repeated cycle. Hot scenes I must say. For those who love a MFM with hot sex this is the book.

Whew definitely one hot erotic romance!

This book was more than I bargained for but boy oh boy did I love it! I will definitely not be forgetting this book anytime soon! When Riana’s (it’s april in the book) luck is about to run out she comes face to face with her past and he decides to take her future in his hands!

A must read if erotic romance is your thing! Every sensual touch will set you on fire and have you wanting more! More is exactly what you get!!

The whole plot of this story seemed under developed. I know it's an erotica book but, there were more sex scenes than necessary. Felt like the characters were two dimensional and the book just fell flat for me. Austin also deserved better.

This was fine, intimate scenes were done well.

Just story wise was a bit under developed, I was curious and thought the set up had a lot of promise but in execution it didn't quit hit the mark.

I like my leading ladies with a little spunk and April was iffy at best, Quinn was annoying, and Austin was deserved more.

This was fine, got better towards the middle for sure!

***** 5 stars!!!!

I have never read a book before by Opal Carew and I can assure this WON'T be the last one either.

Stroke of Luck is one steamy, sexy, engaging book and I just could NOT put it down.

You meet April in the beginning (not Rian like the blub states) and she found her fiance Maurice cheating on her. She is devastated because he left her with an enormous hotel bill that she can't pay for and embarrassment because she thinks she is going to Jail.

Then in comes Quinn who was her ex boyfriend from high school which both of them still loved each other just never admitted it to the other. He thinks she is a gold digger and holds her to this sexual agreement with his business partner Austin where they both would share her for a month because he wants what he wants and she can go on her way.

During the course of the month they spend together they all start falling in love with each other and they all get married to each other.

There are ups and downs and let me tell you that when you get to the steamy parts they are STEAMY!!

I couldn't put this book down and devoured it in one sitting. I can't wait to read more from Opal Carew!

The plot and characterizations in this novel were a little too thin for me, and I skimmed the sex scenes, as there were too many for my taste, all with a sameness about them. Ms. Carew is a new author to me; when I read erotic romances, my taste runs toward Beth Kery's work, which for me includes more complex characters. Still, I appreciate the ARC and wish all good things to the author and publisher.

Thanks to NetGalley for this precious ARC. I adore Opal Carew and her unforgiving erotica! This one this not disappoint, yet another winner for Opal!

Wow, there is so much to say about this book. It is hard to find the words. I know the things I like, and that is usually how I review a book. I just wish I knew how to express so much more. I love the story. I love the characters. They are not just well written, they are likeable. Each has a caring and loving nature. Each deals with this situation in their own way and just a little bit differently than the other. I love that Maurice is such a fun bad guy to hate. I love that Austin has no flaws, no baggage, no drama, no angst. I love that he barely registers any insecurity about his place in this story. The second chance aspect between Quinn and April is a great way to tell the story. It is hurtful that April has the past that she does and that she carries it around with her, but as much as it has shaped her, it has also made her stronger and molded her into who she is. Quinn being so insecure and carrying his hurt around with him is understandable and adds to his lovability. The passion and the heat are realistic and filled with depth. The writing is great. The flow of the story is logical. The dialogue is easy and interesting. The compassion is believable. It would be nice to have an epilogue to detail a few months, a year or five down the road, but not having it does not detract with the enjoyment of reading about these people and their love for one another.

April's horrendous ex-fiance left her in a tough situation. Her luck changes when her college boyfriend Quinn offers his help. She has no money to pay him back, so she offers herself to him for one month. He can ask her to do whatever he pleases. April's shocked to find out he wants to share him with his best friend Austin.

Stroke of Luck kept me up all night. I grew so attached to the 3 main characters and wanted a happy ending for all of them. The book had a nicely tied up ending, but it still left me wanting more of their relationship in the future. I would love for this to become a series!

Getting cheated on and left with a hotel bill that costs more than she makes in a year was not a part of the plan when Riana came to Las Vegas to marry her wealthy fiancé. Her plans also didn’t include getting bailed out of this horrible situation by Quinn, the ex-boyfriend she hadn’t planned to see ever again. For Quinn, Riana was the one that got away and he’s never gotten over her, no matter how successful he became. Riana insists on paying Quinn back, so he makes her an offer—spend the next month with him and his business partner Austin while they’re on vacation.
I really enjoy a good romance and the easy readability of this one was perfect for a quick afternoon read. Though character development and plot development are very simple, Love scenes in this story are steamy and abundant. I also enjoyed the second chance romance aspect. Guaranteed a HEA with this one. Standalone no cliffhangers.

Stroke of Luck is full of hot, steamy sex. A LOT of hot, steamy and detailed sexy times. There is a believable-ish plot that kept me interested and a cast of characters that had me hoping they all got a happy ending.

There are three main characters, and Austin was my favourite. He was caring, sweet and understanding from the get-go. He is the new guy to the heroine April, whereas Quinn has a history with her. Quinn was hot and cold towards April, it was giving me whiplash. It's pretty obvious that April is not a gold digger, by her actions and demeanour but Quinn just wouldn't let it go, which frustrated me. Hence why Austin was my number one.

The third-person narrative made the flow of story feel a bit disjointed and choppy, especially in the first half. I was eager to see where the story progressed, so the third person thing was more a niggling nuance than a destroyer of my reading pleasure.

Stroke of Luck gets 4.5 stars from me. The sex scenes alone rate this book high, but the characters and plot were solid enough to make it more than just an empty storyless erotic read.

My first impression is that there are about 5 or 6 too many sex scenes and that's admitting that I love erotica books so that should tell you that even in this genre it felt like overkill. Plus, if you can get over the cliches from the heroine and her refusal to grow up then the story was actually pretty good. However, the clunky transition between scenes and days was confusing. I also wish they had more interaction outside the hotel. That got kind of old.
I would recommend this book for erotica lovers with mmf situations. Thanks for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

April grew up in foster care. She was abandoned at birth and so has issues as far as wanting to be loved. She is to be married but then finds her fiance cheating on her (and he thought she should look the other way). She then finds that he has left her with the hotel bill which is more than she makes in a year. As you can imagine she is horrified about this. The hotel is in the process of kicking her out when who should appear but her boyfriend form college Quinn. What's so bad about that? Well, she left him with no explanation for the scum she was to marry. But Quinn is the knight in shining armor and saves the day. Quinn is in Las Vegas with his business partner Austin celebrating their business success, so him paying off April's debt is a drop in the bucket to him. He still has issues with April and is attracted to her while he doesn't want to be. Austin is attracted as well so an arrangement is made for her to pay Quinn back. Want to find out what that arrangement is? Read the book. It is an easy interesting read and HOT!
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book for an honest opinion.

After being cheated on by her fiancé the night before her wedding, April runs into her college boyfriend who takes care of her. They agree to a month long threesome with his friend Austin as a way for her to repay him. Overall the story was fine and definitely steamy, but the dialogue was pretty cheesy in many parts and the sex scenes felt a bit repetitive after a while.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an arc.

This was a fast read and it was good. It has a great start and kept me intrigued. Austin and Quinn had a plan when they vacationed in Vegas. April has had the worst day possible. With finding her soon to be husband in a very unflattering predicament things changed for her horribly. Quinn has to deal with being face to face with his ex that left him broken. This is A quick read and not bad if your looking for something steamy and short. Not a bad read at all!

I received this ARC from the publisher via Net Galley for my honest review. The opinions expressed and written are sole y my own. Thanks net galley!

Stroke of Luck by Opal Carew
Source: NetGalley and St. Martin’s Griffin
Rating: 3/5 stars

**MINI-REVIEW**

The Bottom Line: I have taken a long break from reading Opal Carew and I think that break helped me enjoy this book a bit more. I can’t say there was anything new under the sun in this read, but it didn’t stop me from liking the ride. April has been unceremoniously dumped on her wedding day after finding her fiancé in bed with another woman. In her despair, she runs into a love from her past who not only bails her out but offers her a month of nothing but pleasure with he and his business partner/best friend. Though everyone goes into the arrangement with a no strings attached attitude, it quickly becomes more which means navigating a ton of obstacles and emotions that no one expected. In most ways, this is a very typical Opal Carew read: fast falling in love, loads of naughty bits, and a fairly thin plot. Sometimes, that is exactly the kind of book one is looking for and if you are, Opal Carew is your go-to author.

Stroke of Luck by Opal Carew was not disappointing!
April finds her fiancé was cheating on her the day before her wedding, April was trying to deal with a huge hotel bill her fiancé left her to deal with. What seemed like a disaster quickly turned hot and sexy when she runs into her ex, he wasn't just sexy he was also wealthy. The story from there is nothing less than steaming hot. It was a great story, very sexy, easy to follow storyline. Overall a great read!

When you spot your ex-girlfriend in a bad predicament and are completely loaded and are still in love with said girl, there is no way that you are not going to help her out. And that is exactly what Quinn does.

Quinn is still angry with Riana, however his business partner and friend Austin cajoles him into more than just helping her and ends up falling for the girl too.

A bargain where Riana wants to pay back Quinn for the money he has helped her with ends up with her offering her body in payment to the both of them and this is where they end up struggling with their feelings towards each other and also end up coming together as a threesome happy and content.

Austin is the glue that keeps them together as he helps them all sort through their feelings and is very perceptive, Quinn can blunder through things and be a bit bossy, but Riana can hold her own.

After a miscommunication, Riana ends up back home without them, trying to divorce them both, but Quinn holds out with a very important clause that once has come to light, reunited the three of them for their happy ever after.

An interesting twist of events, but i feel that this genre has been done to death a bit recently. Maybe i just need a break from them for a while lol.

Set in Las Vegas, this erotic novel is a great escape for anyone who wants to get lost in a decadent story of love and sex, multiplied. Featuring a number of MFM scenes, Stroke of Luck is sufficiently racy, with a love story on the side. Beyond the "good stuff", the dive into casino culture in Las Vegas was more interesting than anticipated, and didn't feel like a distraction the way that it might have. Ultimately, for me, this novel was a good one, but not one that I would necessarily reread; some of the scenes were a bit repetitive, and the dialogue flat. Nonetheless, a sexy getaway via an afternoon of reading.
