I'm always looking for ways to simplify meal planning in my household. I enjoyed Ms. O'Neil's book in that she's very casual in her approach. You feel as if you're having an easy conversation with a friend about foods. She also seems quite knowledgable about the different foods and their nutrients.

I found some very good suggestions in this book that I will incorporate into my weekly process. In addition, there are some good recipes as well that I look forward to trying. I liked that the author gives alternatives for some items in case you want to do the process differently.

There were numerous typos and missing letters in the book. I'm assuming it's because this was an ARC copy. If not, those items definitely need to be addressed because they were distracting.

I'm rating this 3 1/2 stars.

I received this copy through NetGally and voluntarily chose to review it. The opinions contained within are my own.

I’ll be honest, meal prepping has always appealed to me but overwhelmed me at the same time so I have never attempted it. This book was nice because it broke down all of the meal prep steps into smaller, more manageable chunks. I thought the recipes sounded good and loved all the beautiful photographs.

I've meal prepped for awhile now, and the recipes are excellent. Time saving ideas I wouldn't have thought of and haven't seen before (example: poach chicken breasts in milk, then reuse the milk as a soup-base).

Excellent collection of ideas.

Thank you to #NetGalley and the publisher, #TillerPress, for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I'm not sure if the formatting was weird because of my Kindle but the text was hard to follow. I was expecting the book to be a bit different. It definitely gave some tips on food prep but I was expecting more helpful recipes and how to prep them.

A great book that makes it easy to meal prep! It starts explaining how to start planing for your meal prep by telling you to first check what you have at home. Then it explains about complex carbs, proteins and fats and their importance. It then tells you a sequence of how to build your meal (ex. select your base, protein, fats..). After explaining the concept behind meal prepping, the book has recipes, combinations, and at the end there are different ways that you can combine each protein with each side, grain, fat, and more. Very well explained and organized and the photos are gorgeous! I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

Great book for a single person or a couple. I don't think it would work for a family with kids. The recipes are fairly simple and straight forward but they don't sound like things kids would eat and the recipes would get expensive in larger portions. The recipes sound good, though and the writing and layout are very user friendly. Also, has lots of photos and they all look great (which wins a lot of points from me when it comes to cookbooks).

Thank you to #NetGalley and the publisher, #TillerPress, for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

It wasn't what I expected from a "meal prep plan". It was basically just a bunch of suggestions as to what to eat.
I was really hoping for meal plans or recipes. There wasn't much in the way of that.

I also found it very difficult to follow. There were quite a few typos and the formatting was horrible.

I gave up half-way through the book because, honestly, I was having a hard time understanding what I was reading due to bad formatting and missing letters or text that was too condensed and overlapping itself.

I hope that the print version of this book goes through some better editing than the digital copy.

I absolutely love this book! Such a great way to stay organized and to eat healthy and delicious food while being time conscious as well! I love how the recipes are laid out, and then organized to make amazing and different dishes with the staples you have prepared! The photos in this book are delicious and the recipes down right delicious!

Fit foodie was an excellent guide to meal prep with a variety of ingredients that you can mix and match to best suit your needs. I absolutely enjoyed some of the tips and tricks and the wonderful assortment of ideas on mixing and matching certain foods.

What did I like? The sheet pan idea was my favorite since you can cook three chicken ideas all at once for different meals. A genius idea for families that like chicken cooked with different ingredients or just a time saving method. The book held several meal prep ideas that were extremely helpful and it went further in depth than a regular beginner prep book would.

Would I recommend or buy? I’d love this book on my shelf! Most meal prep books are beginner books so it was nice to finally see one go in depth. I love how you can easily mix and match the different combos but still end up with a healthy meal. I’d recommend this to people needing to go beyond meal prep beginner.

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review! Gorgeous pictures! Five stars!

This is a really good book for getting started in meal prepping. I know that I definitely have tried and failed at prepping meals, so this has some tips for success , as well as getting started and how to build your meals. I will definitely be trying some of these out and getting a copy of this book for my ever-growing cookbook collection at home.

This book really broke down how to meal prep. I also enjoyed some of the information it gave like the benefits of black pepper. I think the way the information was present made meal prep more attainable and the recipes were really fairly simple my family tended to like the breakfast ideas best. As with most healthy cookbooks it can be hard to find some of the ingredients in the Midwest. The the book is very through and I feel definitely helped me along my meal prepping adventures.

This was just ok. Some of the recipes looked good and something I would want to make but overall I felt it was lacking in recipes and ideas.

This is not just a cookbook, but a helpful, healthy "guide-book." I am a busy Mom of 3 little ones and my hubby and I are on a mission to not only eat healthier but to teach our kids about nutrition.

We made the salmon last night- it was simple/easy and everyone loved it (hooray-picky eaters approved)! I look forward to working my way through the recipes and experimenting with the variations.

The book does have AMAZING photos, who doesn't love looking at gorgeous food pics?! I do really like that the author gives variations to recipes as it sparks some creativity in the kitchen. The only thing would be finding some of the ingredients at a local healthfood store- some items aren't necessarily readily available, but hopefully I'll use more of these items. I am really excited to reduce our sugar intake and use more natural, wholefoods... it will just take a little more time and effort (but we'll get there).

Highly recommend and I'll likely be buying copies and giving as gifts ;)

I requested a copy of The Fit Foodie Meal Prep Plan for help with simple and healthy meal planning and snacks.

The book is well laid out and appealing to the eyes. The recipes and snacks are simple and easy to navigate for quick use.

I especially like the quick two ingredient snack options!!

The Fit Foodie Meal Prep Plan is awesome for people beginning meal prepping. It covers all the basics and has some really good but easy recipes inside. I especially love the guides to recipes; it lets you pick an item from each category to combine to make the dish. Such as the overnight oats, and DIY bliss balls. I also love the 2 ingredient ideas that allows you to quickly combine two ingredients for an awesome snack. The book is very well thought out and detailed while still being easy to read.

This cookbook is very well laid out with gorgeous pictures to accompany ALL the recipes! I don’t know about you, but I am more apt to look at a recipe (and make it) if there is a picture. I need to feel inspired and have an idea of what it SHOULD look like in the end.

I love the snack ideas more than anything else. The mains recipes are a bit too adventurous for me but the takeaway on how to set up a plate, allocate nutrients, and store is applicable to most anything I would personally venture to make.

Additionally, I like the section on combos. It’s incredibly inspirational to see how ingredients can come together to build upon a recipe and a meal.

Thanks to Net Galley for a copy.

I’m going to be honest, I struggle so much with meal planning and preparation. I requested The Fit Foodie Meal Prep Plan for this reason. Sally O’Neil gives us tons of different options in a way that isn’t overwhelming (which is sometimes not the case with these books). You are encouraged to start with a smaller set of recipes, but to build upon those when you are comfortable enough to do so. Needless to say, I think this book is an incredibly useful tool for those that struggle as I do.

Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC in return for an honest review!

The Fit Foodie Meal Prep Plan by Sally O'Neil is a simple guide for everyone that either already does, or wants to start down the journey of learning, healthy meal prepping. It provides simple and clear instructions as well as lots of ideas for substitutions and modifications using things commonly found in your kitchen and/ or pantry, or that can be scooped up quickly, easily, and cost effectively at your local grocery store. Meal prep and planning encompasses preparing multiple ingredients for multiple dishes all at the same time thus making time management and wallet management obtainable. By providing a host of skeleton recipes and then showing you so many different ways to add or subtract things makes you a master of creation in your kitchen with minimal week fuss (unfortunately there is no hard answer for those pesky dishes ... they just seem to always stick around!) I was also thankful, and impressed with the amount of vegetarian recipes that are included, as those tend to get pared down in most meal prep and cookbooks. For those who are visually stimulated or visual learners, there are also photographs that accompany some of these ideas. The recipes are fairly easy to make lending this prep book to just about anyone anywhere and have a focus on healthy ingredients making this truly a fit foodies dream planner.

Refreshing take on meal prep with bold flavor combinations. I like that the recipes are listed and then she had her own recommendations of how to fit them together in different ways at the end. Variety in meal prep keeps things from getting boring and this book will open up options for those who love to try new things!
