This is a review for an excerpt not the full book!!!

This story had my engaged from the moment I started it. A group of high school seniors trying to navigate high school before all their different departures for college. It starts off with everyone at Andrews house for a birthday party for that main gal of the story, Keely, who after developing a crush of her own turns to Andrew to help her navigate all the new things of wanting to date and all that comes with being in a relationship. Will they turn this friendship into lovers? Who knows but I can’t wait to read the rest of the story!

This sneak peak of The Best Laid Plans was honestly really good. It gave me enough to get attached to the story—although the first few lines had already hooked me!

The writing is cute and the characters reminded me of myself and my friends while we were in High School. I too was an eighteen year old virgin who’s friends all lost theirs before me, so the story really hit home. I can’t wait until this book is released. I will definitely be buying and giving this book a proper review!

Really enjoyed the excerpt! Love the humor and the characters. There have a been a couple eye-roll moments but my guess is that those are on purpose and some of the characters have some learning and growing up to do. I can’t wait to read the full book. Thanks NetGalley, author, and publisher for this sneak peek!

Before reading this excerpt, I had seen the cover and instantly, became interested to know what it was about. So I got excited to see that a sneak peak was available in netgalley. From the first línes, I was hooked but also intrigued because I was expecting the first chapter to end up in a cliche situation, but wasn’t like that at all so I became even more hooked. Keely, the main character, reminds me so much of what I used to be like in high school, so i got reminded of a lot of topics that were running through my mind back then. From what I read, I like that the characters are so complex, and relatable. The last part of the excerpt left me wanting more, not a cliffhanger (obviously, it’s only chapter 3) but definitely wanna know what happens next.

This book comes out in April 7th

I've been heavy into rom-com like books recently, and this sounded so good til i hit the part where she wants to basically "use" her long time friend so she can hook up with some hot guy.... yuck. i hate people who act like it's okay to friend zone these guys but then still do that kind of shit. ugh.

This sounds like it will be super cute! I'm a sucker for rom-coms if they're done well, so hopefully this can deliver. Will definitely check it out down the road.

I absolutely loved this except. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read this one but this sneak peek was just thing I needed to show me that I absolutely need this book in my life.

Keely is so relatable. I also would prefer a 10 hour Netflix binge to a house party and I loved her knowledge of all things Hitchcock.

I’m so ready for it to be April 7th so I can continue with the story. Unless someone wants to send me a full galley **wink wink**.

I thought this sneak peek was adorable, and I can't wait to read the rest! The main character, Keely, is such a fun, sympathetic character and I want to know what happens next.

Thanks to NetGalley for the Sneak Peek ARC. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to Netgalley and Razorbill for sharing this sampler in exchange for my honest review.

I was so excited when I saw this sampler listed! The Best Laid Plans is a sweet spring rom-com that I've had my eye on for a while, and I can't wait to finish it upon its release in April. Keely is a great main character, full of personality even in the first 60 pages or so. Coming out April 7th!

I've only read the excerpt of this so, only the first six chapters. Let me just tell you I'm already hooked. It's so cute, it has small town vibes, realistic characters, and a nice writing tone. I cannot wait for this book to be released so i can finish it!

In this sneak peek I only got to read the first 6 chapters of The Best Laid Plans, but I’m already planning to pick this one up when it publishes. Keely as a lead character has so much potential even in just the first chapters. She’s seemingly naive and inexperienced, but she also has that spark and sass that is just right there edging it’s way out. The “coming of age” is pouring out of this one. The banter between all of the characters is fun. The other characters themselves are interesting enough to make me want to read along, and know more about them. I think it really says something when an author can make you love the mains and the additional characters just as much. Honestly, this book just seems like a promising YA romance read, with a coming of age plot breaking down the pedestal that our society places on virginity. Can’t wait to read more!

From the vibrantly fun cover to the first few chapters, Best Laid Plans is offering everything I need to gain and KEEP my attention. I knew that this was a book I wanted to read to completion after the first paragraph - it might eve have been the first sentence that sucked me in. I’m excited to see how this possible friends-to-lovers setup plays out, as well as to dive in further into what seems to be a wildly entertaining coming of age story.
