Love that these recipes are 30 minutes and don't forever to make. There are a ton of great options to make in it and look forward to trying them all.

This cookbook has some great Paleo recipes, and I love that they are 30 minutes. So much of the healthy recipe books out there require too much prep and cooking time for every day. There's a good variety and something for everyone in this book. I wish it had more photos - I love to see photos in cookbooks.

I love love love being approved for cookbooks.... so many delightful recipes. Do you ever struggle with keto because of milk and cheese? Paleo has some caveman recipes that will turn heads and make you love eating again.

What did I think? I struggle with food sensitivities.... like hard. Paleo takes us back to foraging for food days. Our stomachs rested much easier and they weren’t riddled with junk food. I hate dairy.... like it makes me bloated and in pain. I also suffer from gluten issues, and too full feeling after most meals of barely any ingredients. Paleo might work for you if you have such sensitivities.

Would I buy or recommend? Yes, people with food issues should pick up a copy of this fun and healthy cookbook. Great recipes for people just looking for delicious and healthy meals. Five star soups!

Thoughts for the author? Thanks so much to the publishers for a peek at such a wonderful cookbook! The recipes have serving size and nutrition info in case you want to make extra or have leftovers. A great shelf recipe book of nutritious food.

I found the desserts and condiments sections the most useful, as most of the "main dish" recipes included a handful of ingredients that I don't care for again and again (avocados, shrimp, ginger). Still, I liked how the recipes were laid out, with specific get ready/do this/finish steps, as well as time-saving tips.

Versatile and budget friendly recipes to make quick and healthy paleo meals. The only issue I have is a lack of phtotgraphy. Patrons demand more visuals.

I received a complimentary review copy of #The30MinuteCookbook from #NetGalley

The first chapter is an introduction to the book which covers the basics of paleo without being too preachy about it, lists tips on cooking more quickly to get meals done in 30 minutes, and kitchen supplies. The last chapter focuses on condiments and staples, which is probably good to go through first before jumping into the rest of the recipes, but once you're familiar with how to make the condiments and staples the chapter is more of a reference to look back to if needed.

The rest of the chapters are the recipes, which all include general instructions and also time-saving shortcuts, labels for dietary restrictions (vegetarian, nut-free, etc), modification ideas, and info on cooking in bulk to store for later. The recipes are all unique and different enough from each other that I didn't get any feeling of redundancy or repetition. There are appetizing photographs in the introductory part but the rest of the chapters just start with one recipe photo and don't have images of the recipe steps or the completed meals. I think images are an essential part of modern recipe books - both to gauge whether you made it correctly, and to decide whether you even want to try it.

The recipes do sound good and are simple to make, so I'd recommend this book to anyone whether you eat paleo or some other diet.

The 30-Minute Paleo Cookbook is a new collection of paleo recipes and cooking tips by Stephanie Meyer. Released 17th March 2020 by Callisto on their Rockridge Press imprint, it's 180 pages and available in paperback and ebook formats. It's worth noting that the ebook format has a handy interactive table of contents as well as interactive links. I've really become enamored of ebooks with interactive formats lately. For Kindle Unlimited subscribers this book is currently included in the KU subscription library to borrow and read for free.

The book follows a logical and easy format. The first chapter covers the background of ingredient selection, what the paleo diet is, and how to streamline meal planning and prep (including a pantry staples lists of protein rich vegetables, fats, and tips) as well as a very general beginner-accessible discussion of the time-saving and streamlining techniques. The author also includes some logical pointers ingredients, and supplies. The recipe chapters are arranged thematically: breakfasts, soups and salads, vegetables, seafood, poultry, beef/pork/lamb, desserts, and staples and ingredient recipes. Nutritional information is included in the footer at the end of the recipes and includes calories, fat (incl. saturated fats), protein, carbs, fiber, and sodium. Some special dietary information is included (gluten-free, nut-free, dairy, vegetarian, etc).

The recipe chapters include a surprisingly varied selection of different world cuisines: Eastern European, American, Asian, Southwestern, and more.

The recipes have their ingredients listed bullet style in a sidebar. Measurements are given in US standard only. Special tools and ingredients are also listed, along with yields and cooking directions. Most of the ingredients are easily sourced at any moderately well stocked grocery store. The book also includes short author bios, and a metric conversion chart, but lacks any index or general ingredients index.

My one quibble with the book is that the recipes are mostly not photographed. There are some photos, and they're clear and attractive, but they only represent about 5% of the recipes included in the book.

Four stars.

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.

This has a nice rundown of what the paleo diet is and why you would follow it, along with a list of foods to enjoy and foods to avoid. I would have liked more pictures of the recipes.
