I haven't read the first books in this series, and that was definitely ok! Enough background was given to make me want to go back and read the others, so I have a feeling people who love this series will really enjoy this book too! I was hoping for more of a firefighter centered story, which this wasn't since the MC is recovering from an injury. But I loved the emotional dynamics and the puppies were seriously a cherry on top of everything!

Enjoyed this second chance romance between Sabrina & Logan. I’ll definitely go back & read the previous two books.

Sabrina and Logan were a couple before he left to fight wildfires. He was seriously injured and laid in a hospital for months. She wondered why he just ghosted her. They're very young and immature. It was a good story, but better for young adults.

Spark by Gillian Archer was my first read by this author. I have to say, I did not love this read. I would like to read more from this author to give her another chance.

2 stars
This was a swing and a miss for me. I am not into bikes or all that jazz. Maybe that was my problem. Then coupled with the immaturity, I couldn't even get through it all. I had to skim most of it.

I really liked this book.

The author does a masterful job alternating the POV between Sabrina and Logan with each new chapter. It somehow makes it into a very smooth read, and isn’t the least bit distracting.
Besides loving the way xGillian Archer writes, I also loved the story. I found it has it all: romance, drama, 4 overprotective brothers and their Wives or gfs, puppies, action, comedy, all kinds of other family members and fires. I mean, how could those ingredients possibly make a story? Read it and find out!

Not very often can I say that an author surprised me with their story. Gillian did just that with Spark. It simply was everything you want and need in a spectacular romance book. I cannot overstate how much this book touched me. It’s exquisitely written, incredibly moving and impossible to put down. I think this is a book that will stay with me. It’s worthy of so much more than 5 stars.

Ok So somehow I missed that this book is part of a series and I seriously needed to read those ones after reading this one! This one is about Sabrina, who is technically a cousin but they treat as their sister and it's a second chance (well technically probably a 3rd chance) love story! She is this strong woman who is going through things that you wouldn't even know because she doesn't want anyone to feel sorry for her or for them to be upset on her behalf. Even when she feels like she is drowning, she still manages to go and do what needs to be done. Logan went through hell and is wallowing in guilt over what happened to not only himself but losing his friend the way he did. He loves Sabrina but he doesn't think she deserves to be stuck with whats left of him. They both have their own issues to get past and work through. Your emotions will be all over the place in this one! At one point I wanted to smack Logan upside the head but then at another point you want to cry because he is breaking your heart. And Sabrina was just the same! I was all over the place and enjoyed every minute of it!

Three and a half stars.

I haven't read the two previous books in the series but that didn't cause an issue as each one appears to be a stand-alone romance featuring one of the four Burns brothers or, in this case, their cousin Sabrina. The four guys run a custom bike shop called Badass Builds where Sabrina is the accountant and they have a very successful reality TV show based on the shop.

Sabrina and Logan were hot and heavy until he left to spend the summer fire jumping and almost died, his best friend did die. Now, two years later Logan is back but he's wracked with guilt and ashamed of his scars.

There was a good plot and interesting story in this novel but it felt like we had to go through several different genres to get there. First we had Logan acting like a jerk and ghosting Sabrina. Then, not five minutes later (okay like a day or two) the two of them are getting hot and heavy, so apparently he wasn't very good at following his own rules. Then we had what felt like heavy petting/sex scene after sex scene, no plot development, on the plus side Logan had stopped acting and talking like a extra from Sons of Anarchy. Finally, after the compulsory sex scenes we actually got some plot.

I think if I had to rate this book I would say two stars for the first 25%, three stars for the middle and maybe four stars for the end, but I can't be that specific so I've gone with a three, verging on three and a half stars. I would definitely be interested in reading another in the series to see what happens next.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

The third book in the series is mainly about Sabrina. Two years she was dating Logan then he went off to fight a fire as a smoke jumper. He didn’t come back though she knew he was alive. He would not take he calls, texts, or anything she had something important to tell him he was cutting her loose. Yet she knows he is here in the shop measuring for a sprinkler system that needs to be put in. he acts like he does not know her.
Logan was not expecting to see her again. He figured she had gotten married moved on with her life, but no here she is and now he has to deal with the past that he has still not dealt with. Once she figures out that it is Logan and gets angry and leaves, she goes to her mother’s diner. There she is again having to deal with another issue from her past, her father whom she said was dead. Yet he is standing in front of her talking to her mother. With so much to deal with it does not end there, she is dealing with her cousins, then their father once again makes an appearance in a big way which causes havoc. Meanwhile, you still wonder if Logan is ever going to move on from his issues? With all of this, it is a good story with good characters once again if with the different story lines the author does it in a way that you can follow along without a problem.

This second chance love story of Sabrina and Logan is one emotional rollercoaster. In Sabrina's life unexpectedly comes Logan, a boyfriend who ignored her two years ago. Logan is not the same person as he was the last time they saw each other. Not mentally and not physically but seeing Sabrina triggers changes in his life. Both Sabrina and Logan have their tragic story and there is a lot going on in there lives. Will that pull them apart or make them even stronger together? It is a truly heartbreaking story and all of us struggle differently with lost and so it is with Sabrina and Logan. I loved that I saw how are the other guys doing. And this is another interesting read from the series and we already know which of Burns brothers is the next one to fall in love.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley

Spark is the third book in Gillian Archer’s Burns Brothers series and brings a couple back together that should never have been apart. Sabrina and Logan’s previous encounter was certainly brief, but it left a lasting impression of the man who would continue to haunt her dreams. As they rediscover the attraction and chemistry that drew them together initially, Sabrina, a no-nonsense, capable and determined woman, will finally uncover the reasons Logan, a closed-off, mysterious and heroic man, left her behind. Secrets and lies will surface, and misunderstandings will at last be resolved. The Burn siblings are definitely keeping me thoroughly intrigued and I’m definitely looking forward to the next instalment in the series.

Pretty good book. Even though it's the third book in this series, it can still be read as a standalone. I'm not sure it's my favorite but it was still good. There was just a lot going on with Sabrina. I'm still not sure I really liked her but still a good second chance romance.

Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A sweet and steamy second chance romance. Injury caused amnesia and a scorned woman cause for a few fires that need to put out soon :)

4.5 Stars for Spark book 3 in the Burns Bothers Series.
I missed reading book 1 in this series but that didn’t stop me enjoying Sabrina and Logan’s story if fact it left me wanting more from this family snd their friends so I will be picking that book up as soon as time permits.
Sabrina and Logan have history and now they find themselves back in the same town she needs to know what he ghosted on her 2 years ago, why he never returned her calls or text messages....
This second chance love story is not an easy one, there are twists and turns as well as a fair few bumps along the way for this couple but the road to true love can often be a difficult one and if you can get past the bumps and still be together you know you are meant to be. I love the characters and I love this authors style of writing, she makes me feel like I’m part of this group of family and friends who are sharing there love stories with us. I can’t wait to read book 1 and then I look forward to book 4 which I really hope is Logan’s best friends story.

There's a whole lot going on in this one but, it's what I expected from Sabrina and Logan. The chemistry was off the charts and there was a bit more emotion than I expected. I was hit in the feels more than once and the swoon factor was high. I liked the characters. I liked the story. I found myself actually rooting for these two and really wanted to see them get their HEA.

So much whining and back and forth crying between Sabrina and Logan. Logan had it rough but he blames himself for everything....even things he had no control over. That was ok but it went on and on on and on with no end in sight! It became tiresome. I loved the puppies and Travis who was a wonderful friend.
