There were many twists and turns in this novel about Sara and Matt and their three children. Although it held my interest, I was not invested in any of the characters. Their moods changed quite unpredictably, and it seemed totally out of line with their original portrayals. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to be an early reader in exchange for my review.

love Rona Halsall’s novels and this was no exception. With ever one I’ve read I’ve been wowed by the twists throughout and as always this was the same.

From the beginning I was pulled in with the first chapter. It created the intrigue needed to become involved in the story straight away.

The storyline I loved and felt connected with Sara straight away! The characters are all well formed with traits you can’t help but love.

The many threads of suspicion weave through the storyline, suspicion fell on everyone at some point through the story.

The ending was just magnificent! I can’t wait to read her next novel!

Sara has the happy family that she's always wanted. When her husband loses his job she is determined to find a way to protect her family. A rash decision leads Sara to owe her boss a favour. What follows is a web of secrets and lies as Sara's life begins a downward spiral.
A twisty psychological thriller that shows just how far some people will go to provide for and protect their family.

Thank you Bookouture and Net Galley for an early copy of I Owe You. I was soooo excited to read another Rona Halsall book and she did NOT disappoint! What a fast read and a good one. Plot was sad regarding the sickness in this world and what people will do to gratify themselves. Wonderfully written and I was engrossed from the beginning with the characters. Can’t wait for her next book..

I Owe You by Rona Halsall is another thrilling page-turner from an author who can always be relied upon to deliver a fast-paced, thoroughly gripping read. I am always excited to discover a new release from Ms Halsall, and this one lived up to all expectations.

Sara and her husband Matt and their three children have what would appear to be, at least from the outside looking in, an idyllic life. The cracks start to show, however, when Matt loses his job, putting the family under tremendous financial strain. Doing what she must to keep her family afloat, Sara takes out a loan, having no idea of the true cost of this decision, not only for herself, but also for the people who depend on her the most.

This is Rona Halsall at her very best, and I cannot wait to see what she has in store for readers next.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC.

Loved it!!!!!! *****

I am a big fan of Rona Halsall, and as with all of her books "I Owe You" certainly did not dissapoint!.

As with all great Physcological Thrillers you want something that will captivate you and I found with "I Owe You" that I wasn't short of one calculated twist after another.

The storyline follows Sara, a married mum of two twin teenage girls - Amelia & Sophie and her little boy Ezra, she has been married to Matt for 18years and they have the picture perfect life......Or so it's seems, until Matt's job loss has a turn to play in, if Sara's picture perfect life is what she really thought it was. The downhill spiral goes from here.

I found I felt so many emotions whilst reading "I Owe You", we sympathise with Sara's position, she's in such turmoil and we feel how she's feels in those moment's, questioning what we would do in her position.

I loved Sara's dedication to her kids and felt her love throughout the storyline. There was a real sense of motherly love and a fierce need to protect her children and the author did a really good job of making you feel that emotion.

By the time i got round to chapter 25, I felt really repulsed and sad for Sara, I couldn't imagine being in that position and how to explain my way out of it.

I had so many trust issues with each character trying to work out 'if it was them', I couldn't really tell how it was going to pan out and loved the way the storyline went. Justice served on a not so happy ending.

Another strong 5 star read for Rona Halsall's "I Owe You", kept me reading, kept me guessing, kept me feeling!.

Rona is one of my favourite authors! As soon as I see a new book by her I know it is just going to be amazing.

I Owe You is absolutely no different. Rona has an art of weaving this big web of deceit and suspicion, when you think you have it all nailed to the coffin. And then you turn the page and she throws in so much doubt that you begin even doubting if you name is really your name.

I cannot wait for the next book by Rona!!! Counting down the days

I owe you had me gripped from the start! A family based psychological thriller with twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the end! Sensitive difficult subject matter is covered and it’s very sobering knowing how technology can be misused for these purposes!
Sara snd Matt are busy parents to three children when their world as they know it ends! Matt loses his job, Sara increases her hours and things begin to spiral out of control! The lengths people will go to to to provide for their family and the secrets families keep lead us on a thrilling journey of suspicion, deceit, intrigue and suspense!
Thank you net galley for this early read.

I really enjoyed this domestic drama. Family and friends woven together where some boundaries became blurred.
So much love, lies and deceit. Great characters in a fully charged thriller.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Sara is fairly happy with her life. She is married to a man she loves, has three children and has a pretty much stable life. The only thing she wishes, is that she could do more with her career. You know how the saying goes though, be careful what you wish for.

I really felt for Matt and Sara when he breaks the news of losing his job. Financial worries are a massive strain and it isn’t long before it starts putting a strain on their relationship. My heart went out to Sara who is doing her best to try and makes things okay. Whilst she mainly stays at home looking after the kids, she does help out at the community centre and it seems the perfect idea to increase her hours there.

James her boss, I really didn’t know what to make of him. He seems a genuinely nice guy but to nice if you know what I mean? To not only help Sara out but to take her out for lunches and dinners, alarm bells started to ring in my head. The further into the story I got the more I was urging Sara to steer well clear.

The relationship between Hailey and Sara, I enjoyed. Through her relationship with her sister, we get to find out what life was like for the two of them when they were children. It certainly wasn’t the most happiest of upbringings but helps the reader to see how it’s moulded the pair into who they are today.

I Owe You is a novel that kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through. As the story goes along, I was constantly taken unaware of the direction the author was sending me. I thought the story was heading one way only for it spin me around, hurtling me in another direction. I loved that it kept taking me by surprise, sending my heart and pulse racing. A nail biter of a read where the suspense doesn’t let up. Loved it!
