Wonderful romance book! I absolutely enjoyed reading this story. I always enjoy reading romance books set in a small mountain town.

“You’re part of me now. Everything I do is because of you.”-Shane

After reading the debut novel, I couldn’t wait to read another swoon worthy story set against the beautiful state of Montana. Wildflower Road is the second book in the Madison River series. The author used intriguing language to describe the picturesque landscape. The characters were so real that I felt like I was there experiencing everything that this family went through.

This story is about second chances after you’ve been through something really rough and heartbreaking. Ryann is a widow after losing her husband. She’s trying really hard to move on and not feel anymore guilt. Her family and friends are a refuge in helping her make this happen. Shane has a past of his own. A rock star pastor that his life going for him until he makes a mistake that almost breaks him.

Shane comes to the Rivers Edge Resort to become the cook. Being that Rivers Edge is having a hard time with reservations being filled, what they need is something fresh. That’s what Shane looks to do with his awesome cooking skills.

Both of them are looking for a fresh start to move past their pains. Looking to God can bring the healing that only he can provide.
Will Shane and Ryann make a connection? Will redemption give them the healing they need to make them whole again?

I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley. I was under no obligation to leave a positive review. All opinions stated here are my own.

This book has a fantastic theme of redemption that was very beautifully written. Two people with a secret, both crushed under guilt and loss, in need of a Savior to take away their sins. And the ability to forgive themselves for past mistakes.
I’ll be honest this was a hard book for me to review. Janine is a wonderful storyteller and her characters were very realistic, they could be you or me-just your everyday normal joes with real life issues. I think the reason I struggled is because this book deals with hard issues like suicide, and sexual assault, grief and death. Some of those topics hit close to home so it was just a heavy book for me personally. I usually avoid these topics. While it is well written and Redemption and Grace shine through, be warned that these topics are in here and may be a trigger for some.

Janine Rosche draws me into every one of her books. As book two in the Madison River series, it's best if you read book one first. Wildflower Road has a little bit of everything in it. Action, love, tragedy, and redemption.

Shane has fled west to Montana to escape from mistakes in his past. Ryann wants to save her family's struggling resort, no matter what the cost. Shane and Ryann both have what seem to be insurmountable obstacles to overcome, and at times, a second chance for each of them seems impossible. Ryann is dealing with the effects of being a widow at a very young age, and with an obsessed former brother-in-law. It has been a very long time since I've disliked a character so much, but for an author to draw out those emotions in me says a lot. I loved the redemption found for all in Wildflower Road.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

What a well crafted and wonderful story! Wildflower Road pulls the reader in early on with heartbreak in the main character's pasts and seeing how they overcome it and finally find happiness was such a fun read. Ryann and Shane are such likable characters that you can't help but root for them to break free of their pasts and find their happily ever after. This story has a lot of drama and heartbreak in its pages but that just makes the end all the more satisfying. All in all, this was a lovely story and I can't wait for book 3 in the series!

I received an early copy for review but I also purchased a hard copy as well an an audible copy for my shelves. All thoughts are my honest opinion.

I really enjoyed this addition to the Madison River Romance series! I loved Ryann when we first got to meet her in the last book. I’m happy that she gets her happily ever after. I liked that the author wasn’t afraid to tackle difficult subjects in this book. It made it feel more real and relatable. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

I was given a complimentary copy of this ebook from the author, but was not required to write a review. The thoughts and comments are my own.

Oh, my heart! What a beautiful book. It's been a few days and I still can't stop thinking about Ryann and Shane, two wounded hearts finding their way to each other.

This book deals with some heavier topics and Rosche handles them well. There's a LOT of drama in Wildflower Road, and just when you think things are finally going well, something else comes around the corner. I had to take breaks from reading because it felt like an endless run of sucker punches to the gut. BUT that made the ending, and the concept of redemption, that much sweeter. It also made Shane and Ryann's story settle deep.

Overall, Wildflower Road is an emotional but beautiful follow-up to Rosche's debut. I can't wait to read the next in the series!

I received a complimentary copy of this novel. All expressed opinions are mine.

Gentle romance…

This was my first venture into Madison River and Ryann and Shane’s story was worth the trip. Both were dealing with a boat load of ‘stuff’ and hiding out in the mountains, strangely enough, wasn’t the greatest place to hide from it. Instead, their relationship made them deal with their pasts and it was anything but a quiet ride…

They both had issues and as they got to know each other all was slowly revealed. Their antagonistic first impressions soon gave way to sharing of heart-wrenching curveballs that affected them deeply now and, more importantly, their futures. As they grew closer, all of it came to a head. Some unexpected events, others more predictable, but all of it led up to a climactic end.

I missed the fine print and didn’t realize it was a Christian romance, a genre I don’t normally seek out. A good story, however is a good story, and this was a balanced read with emotion, human frailty and strength, at its heart.

✦Review: WILDFLOWER ROAD by Janine Rosche https://wp.me/p3d0RZ-bBP

This is a lovely story of not only second chances but finding your way when the world seems stacked up against you. Shane was hiding from his past in shame. He never lost his Christian faith, yet he struggled with feeling unworthy. Ryann was also dealing with a past trauma, and an ongoing threat that would not let her move on. Somehow, they found each other and provided the strength and comfort each needed to find a way forward.

Ms. Rosche has an easy writing style that pulls a reader through the ups and downs of the character’s lives. I’m glad she has written a great community of friends and family to build the close-knit world of Madison River. That kind of setting grabs a hold of me and builds the hope of a happily ever after. The story is a combination romantic suspense and Christian faith novel that keeps a reader turning the pages.

Wildflower Road by Jeannine Rosche the second book in the Madison River series. The book and story standalone. However if you read the first book you’ll be thrilled to know that Keira and Robbie make several appearances.

Ryann is Robbie’s sister. She’s working hard to help her parents save their mountain resort. I liked her character and how the author revealed tidbits of her past throughout the book. Although she had survived tragedy she still had spunk.

I was intrigued how the author created Shane‘s character. Shane was a pastor of a mega church when his life went totally off track. He’s now at their resort to be a cook. As they work together at the resort they open up to each other and realize they both may get a second chance. I enjoyed the scenes with Ryann and her friends.

The book deals with some tough topics that could be triggers. Suicide, infidelity and abuse

I received this book from Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review.

After having read—and LOVED!—Ms. Rosche’s debut novel, This Wandering Heart, I couldn’t wait to return to the mountains in Montana. The second story in the Madison River Romance - Wildflower Road- proved just as amazing as its predecessor.

The heroine, Ryann, has a past filled with heartbreak and tragedy. Right away, I found myself rooting for her Happily Ever After. Her kindness, her fierce devotion to her family, and her tenderness in dealing with those who are wounded, were all qualities that made her more endearing. Plus she had spunk. And I absolutely LOVE when heroines have a good dose a sass.

The hero, Shane, is … well, all things swoony. He’s running from his mistakes, and his escape to the mountains lands him on the door step of the River’s Edge Resort. He’s protective. He’s loyal. And the man cooks. Basically, he’s Prince Charming in flannel.

Shane and Ryann have instant chemistry! This author does SO well at writing witty banter and spark-filled love scenes. One minute I was snort-laughing and the next I was sighing. Such emotion on every page!

While this book deals with delicate topics, there is a great balance between light and heavy conversations. I really appreciate stories that help spread awareness of mental health, and this author approaches this subject with sensitivity and grace.

What I LOVE about this book is that it reveals that even though our wounds may be deep, they're not beyond the reach of God’s healing touch.

Wildflower Road by Janine Rosche is book 2 in the Madison River series. I was a huge fan of Ms Rosche's first novel in this series, featuring reality television star Kat Wonderful who finds unexpected love. This book, somehow, surpassed the first book in its emotional complexity and depth. The characters were vivid and had dealt with some horrific trauma, yet this book shines through with the hope and love that can only come from God Himself. I adored every moment of reading this book. I stayed up way too late to read it and cannot wait to read book in the series. The characters were so real that it feels like such a loss now that the book in done! I highly recommend this novel to readers of Christian fiction and romance. It definitely has elements of trauma, so keep that in mind. I received a digital copy of this book from the author with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

Let's go to Montana! These were the words I uttered to my husband after finishing the last page of Wildflower Road, the second installment in the Madison River Romance series by Janine Rosche. The author makes readers feel like they are right there taking in God's beautiful masterpiece along side the characters in her books.

Readers met Ryann in book one, This Wandering Heart, and we get to learn more about her tragic story in this book. This book is written just as well as the first in the series, but Wildflower Road definitely tackles some heavy issues such as depression, suicide, blackmail, harassment, and assault that readers need to be aware of before diving into this story. The author handled all of these situations tremendously well. What readers are left with at the end is a beautiful picture of redemption in the lives of these characters, but there will be some hard to read pages on the journey to get there.

I enjoyed getting to know Ryann's friend, Thomas, a little bit in this book and I am looking forward to getting to know him even better in his story which is the next book in the series. Glory Falls releases in January of 2021.

I was given a copy of this book by the author and publisher. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I liked the romance between Ryann and Shane, but I wasn’t a fan of the drama with the crazy brother-in-law, especially at the end when Ryann pulls a TSTL move.

I didn’t know this was a “Christian romance” when I got a copy, but it wasn’t too preachy or in your face, thankfully. This is my first-time reading Janine Rosche, and I liked Wildflower Road but didn’t love it.

A copy was kindly provided by Berkley Books in exchange for an honest review.

What a powerful story of redemption!

When Shane's world fell apart, he thought God had turned His back on him and he, therefore, stopped having anything to do with God. Yet in His patient, loving manner, the Good Shepherd didn't let His sheep stray too far from the fold before He brought him back in. I loved the way Shane began to see that when we fall, God is there to pick us up and make us stronger as we realize our utter dependence on Him.

The romance between Shane and Ryann was very sweet, especially as each of them had been broken in their past and needed patience and healing. Poor Ryann needed a man who wouldn't run away when things got tough - as other men in her life had.

There are some serious subject matters dealt with here. Assault, suicide, and alcoholism. Each is handled sensitively with no excessive details given. Readers who need to steer clear of these topics should beware.

In addition, corruption and blackmail also played a part, though I'll let you discover how. This made for slightly uncomfortable reading - I was squirming at the thought of no place to go, no one to help, and the lives destroyed due to the corruption in authority - how frightening that would be!

If you enjoy your romance with a more serious edge, Wildflower Road is a well-written story that shows the darkness in man - to emphasize the light!

Janine Rosche's debut novel, This Wandering Heart, was so excellent I was afraid I wouldn't love this one as much. I was thrilled to be proven wrong.

Ryann Ashcroft, a young widow trying to save her family's mountain resort, isn't looking for love when a brooding, handsome man shows up in town to work as a chef in their restaurant. He's chosen this remote Montana town because he doesn't want anyone to know just how far from grace he's fallen. He also hopes they haven't seen the video that went viral.

It's a story of redemption and hope. It's 100% a Christian romance, but it's not all sunshine and roses. Often times, these books are just an escape but Wildflower Road (and This Wandering Heart) deal with some tough themes which makes the redemption so much more sweet. Also, you'll want to move to the family resort. Seriously, you'll google it hoping it's a real place and check Kayak for plane tickets to Montana -that's how well Rosche describes the setting.

I read book 1 in the Madison River Romance so I was looking forward to reading book 2. Because of the subject matter I was worried that the book would be too heavy, but the chemistry between Ryann and Shane bring a lightheartedness and moments filled with delicious-swooniness that kept me reading into the late night.

I love that Ms. Rosche talked about depression, sin, and so much more. I don’t want to give anything away but the way Shane Olson handled his sin made me admire him all the more.

All in all, Wildflower Road is a great tale of redemption, second chance at love, and the healing power of God’s grace.

A formerly iconic pastor and a no-nonsense widow, both hiding secrets from their past, square off in a book that offers us relatable characters in need of God’s grace and redemption and freedom. Don’t we all? I love books with an authenticity to the characters, and Rosche delivers once again on that trait, offering unique (but gentle) insight into sexual assault and suicide—real topics that we shouldn’t shy away from in Christian Fiction. I recommend reading this as a stand-alone or starting with book one of The Madison River Romance series.

With a setting in Montana near Yellowstone National Park, Wildflower Road caught my attention quickly, since that is one of my favorite areas to visit. Author Janine Rosche has perfectly captured the exquisite beauty of the locale with her colorful descriptions. They immediately transported me there to savor the sights, sounds, and smells while enjoying her beautifully written, absorbing story of redemption and healing.

The carefully crafted, realistic, multi-layered characters are very relatable with their various flaws and life problems, and Rosche is not afraid to sensitively tackle some tough subjects. The main characters are easy to love. Ryann is friendly, non-judgmental, and fun, despite her tragic past, and Shane is bravely trying to start over after some devastating events. I adored the witty, engaging banter between them as they try to figure out their futures. A stellar cast of supporting characters deepens and enhances the story. Themes of redemption, grace, courage, and healing are seamlessly woven into the tale and add depth and dimension to it.

Although this is the second book in Rosche’s Madison River Romance series, it can easily be read alone. It was fun to see many of the characters from the first book pop up again in this one. This author has an immense talent for storytelling, and I’m anxiously awaiting the next book in the series.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
