Juliet Brody and Reverend Brook are finally getting married. Everyone is excited and Bailey is busy baking a stunning marshmallow-frosted wedding cake and fulfilling bridesmaid duties. The day is filled with ups and downs, including a ruined wedding cake, Juliet's hair being burned off with a curling iron, and a drunk wedding crasher who objects to the wedding because she doesn't think Reverend Brook deserves to be happy. When the wedding crasher is found dead on the church steps the next day, Bailey and her best friend Cass, decide to their own investigation, much to the dismay of her sheriff's deputy boyfriend, Aiden Brody. Meanwhile, Aiden's high school sweetheart is in town for the wedding, and she is determined to win him back.

This is the fifth book in Amanda Flower's An Amish Candy Shop Mystery series. This is a delightful series, with wonderful characters, a charming small-town setting, and a sense of community and family. This is one of my favorite cozy mystery series, and when a new installment comes out it feels like catching up with old friends. Amanda Flower's writing style is engaging and filled with humor. Our main character, Bailey, is loyal, caring, hardworking, and independent. Her relationship with Aiden is progressing nicely, but I would like to see them communicate better and not keep things from each other. The mystery is well-plotted, with plenty of red herrings and false leads to throw readers off the scent. The reveal came as a complete surprise to me because the culprit wasn't even on my radar.
Overall, I think this is a fantastic addition to the series and I eagerly await the next book. Amanda Flower never disappoints, and I highly recommend any of her series.

The latest in Amanda Flower's An Amish Candy Shop Mystery series is wonderful. The best part was learning more about the many characters and their back stories. Complex and heart wrenching issues like alcoholism are addressed and I really felt a connection to those whose lives were impacted. There is a wedding, a pet pig and a former girlfriend complication that all adds up for a a great book that I highly recommend.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Things are hectic in Ohio's Amish Country and as usual Bailey King is right smack in the middle of things.

Juliet and Reverend Brook are finally getting married. Everyone is excited and Bailey is doing double duty as the bridesmaid and the cake baker. And of course, it has to be an outside summer wedding. And of course, Bailey can whip up a marshmallow covered cake! But will they both meltdown before the ceremony begins?

Unfortunately, the cake may not escape unscathed and neither will the person dropping dead at the wedding.

Turns out there may have been some dirty dealings going on and Bailey isn't about to sit on the sidelines while Juliet becomes a jailhouse bride! But things are looking grim for the Reverend.

I have never laughed as much as I do at this series. Amish Candy Shop and fun? Turns out they go together quite well when done by Ms. Flower!

I can't wait for the next delicious book.

Another winner from Amada Flower in the Amish Candy Shop mysteries. This is the 5th book in the series.

The characters feel like old friends, and I love the Amish setting and the details of Amish life. I highly recommend this book.

The novella 'Botched Buttterscotch' got me hooked on the Amish Candy Shop Mysteries. No one had to sweet talk me into reading 'Marshmallow Malice'. What a fast-paced novel! It starts with a wedding in Harvest, Ohio and ends in New York. A lot, including murder, happens in between. The crime has candy maker Bailey King, along with her visiting friend, checking out anyone who could be involved with the murder victim. I enjoyed that Jethro the pig and Puff the bunny were never far behind. Along the way Bailey has to figure out who she can truly trust, including those who are not part of her sleuthing. I received a copy of 'Marshmallow Malice' from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This is the 5th book in this series and it doesn't disappoint. The characters are well developed and I like them more with each book. I love the Amish community and the storyline is well written. Mystery, candy, romance and a pig named Jethro make this a must read book.

It is the wedding of the season as Juliet Brody and Reverend Brook finally get married after a long courtship. Juliet deserves the perfect wedding, but like most marriages - nothing is perfect. When a wedding crashers shows up to the ceremony accusing Reverend Brook of being a traitor, Bailey King does not know what to think, her dear friend (and potentially future Mother-in-law) proceeds with the wedding and (aside from a comedic issue with the cake) everything goes perfectly. Until the woman who crashed the wedding is found dead the next morning on the church steps. What follows is a blending of Amish and English suspects, family drama, and mysterious moonshiners.

Marshmallow Malice is the 5th instalment in the Amish Candy Shop Mystery series. Each instalment is better than the next. Amanda Flower constantly comes up with unique cozy mystery plots that outshine others within the genre. There is a good balance of romance as we see Juliet and Reverend Brook finally marry, and there is some progression between Aiden and Bailey. This relationship is definitely a slow burn, which does set a nice pace to the story. In this book Aiden has a former love interest enter the scene, which definitely will feature prominently in a future book.

Again, a great cast of characters both human and animal. Jethro the pig steals the show as always - but Nutmeg and Puff also add to the comedic relief.

I definitely recommend this series as well as all of Amanda Flower's other cozy mystery series as well.

Bailey was a bridal attendant for her boyfriend Deputy Aiden Brook's mother. She knew it wouldn't be easy, mostly because of Jethro, the bride Juliet's pet pig, but she had no idea just how bad it would get.
She worked hard on a special cake, found a solution to a hair mishap and tried to save that same cake from a mishap. The groom, Reverend Brook had an unexpected guest that he dealt with, but the disagreement between them was noticed by many.
That same guest turned up dead on the church steps, causing the sheriff's department to try to solve it quickly so the couple could go on their honeymoon. Bailey's sweetshop had to be ready for a festival on the square and ready for a trip to New York, all in this short space of time.
Working together they track down why and who ...Aiden and Bailey track down any and all clues. It isn't easy to get information from the Amish, but Bailey manages to get enough to put herself right in the killer's sights. The killer had tried to send her down another path, but realized Bailey had figured it out.
I requested and received a NetGalley copy to peruse and enjoyed the tale. Suitable for any age, no gore, sex or obscenities, just humor, mystery and romance.

I honestly jumped when I saw this book was available and I started reading it the moment I got hold of it.

Marshmallow Malice is the fifth book in Amanda Flower's Amish Candy Shop Mystery series. To be honest, I often get bored of a long-running series around about the fifth or sixth book but that's not the case with Marshmallow Malice, I actually liked it even more than the last.

There's a wedding gone wrong, secrets all over and lots of fun drama in the town.

This instalment wraps (for now at least) a long-running subplot of this series: the awkwardly sweet romance between Juliet and Reverend Simon. Naturally, as the girlfriend-of-the-son-of the bride and the wedding's caterer, Bailey finds herself right in the heart of the action. And, of course, things quickly spiral out of control when Bailey finds (yet another) body.

This is a well-paced mystery and I continue to love Bailey, Aiden, and all the supporting characters. In Marshmallow Malice, as always, we get to see old faces in new situations and meet a few new troublemakers too. It's another great book, one that could probably be read on its own, but I really recommend enjoying the entire series.

The Amish Candy Shop is one of my most favorite cozy series and one I highly recommend giving it a try.

This is a cozy Amish Mystery. The main character is Bailey and she owns a Amish Candy Shop with her Grandmother. This book is the fifth book in the Amish Candy Shop Mystery. Juliet Brody and Reverend Brook wedding is finally here and happens at the very beginning of the book. And of course there is Jethro the pig that Bailey is watching for her boyfriend's mother, Juliet. There was a murder that happens right after the wedding and of course they are trying to solve it the whole book. I found the characters very developed and likeable and fun. Great Cozy Mystery. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I loved tgis book by Amanda Flower. I love how she is able to weave the "Englisch" world with that of the Amish. The character development is great. This book kept me on my toes and reading well into the night. This book did not disappoint!

Another fun cozy mystery by Amanda Flower. Again Bailey finds a dead body and again it is at the church but this time on the church steps. Aiden always wants her to keep out of police business but she just can't help herself. She and her best friend Cass who is visiting from New York City set out to find out who did it.

In this book Juliet, Aiden's mother finally marries the preacher. Juliet always manages to crack me up with her pet pig that she treats like her baby. Nevermind that everyone in the town thinks she is crazy for giving a pig that much attention. She simply does not care. Bailey is left to babysit Juliet's pig while she is on her honeymoon.

I had no idea who was responsible for the murder. It kept me guessing until the end. I like it when a mystery author keeps me guessing. With some mysteries I am able to figure it out but not with this one.

Marshmallow Malice is due to be released on May 26. Thanks to Netgalley and Kensington Books for allowing me to read an ARC of this book.

This series does not disappoint and neither do any of Flower's other series. She's a strong writer whose books contain everything from humor to romance hard-to-solve plots. I had to keep re-reading one scene because it was so funny. This series is a good addition to libraries that have a strong mystery and cozy mystery section.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for this eARC. All opinions are my own. This review can also be found on my Goodreads page.

I was very excited to read this book, and once again I was awed by the creative genius of Amanda Flower.
Every book in this series is packed with a good, solid mystery, lovable, colorful characters, and a small town where everyone knows your name.
The book opens with the big day for Juliet and her soon to be husband, until the ceremony is interrupted, causing people to raise their eyebrows.
As the maid of honor for Juliet, Bailey King takes her job very seriously, especially since she’s dating the bride’s son.
When the wedding crasher is removed, everyone breathes a sigh of relief, but we all know that’s not the end!

Fans of this series will absolutely enjoy Marshmallow Malice.

Marshmallow Malice by Amanda Flower is a fun read! The main character, Baily is trying to solve a murder along with her visiting friend from New York, who seems to also have the ability to convince Baily to do or say pretty much anything to solve this murder. Their helper a mischievous little pot bellied pig causes them to get in even more sticky situations and eats pretty much anything he can find. Baily's handsome boy friend, Sheriff Deputy Aiden is constantly saving them or abetting them, you make your own opinion. The characters are quirky, the story is great and I eagerly await the next book. Who can't always use a giggle and you will giggle! Enjoy!

Wonderfly characters, candy, a wedding, and a murder make this an add to your reading list. You won’t be disappointed! A great addition to the series. Amanda Flower somehow always manages to deliver and has become a favorite author.

It is finally time for Juliet and Reverend Brook to get married. A mysterious woman crashes the wedding a tries to put a stop to it. When the woman is found dead outside of the church. When it turns out she has a connection to the reverend, Bailey and her best friend, Cass, start investigating. I love this series. The characters are fun and likeable. Jethro the pig has to be one of my favorite literary pets ever. He causes so much mischief without meaning to, but you can't help but love him. Can't wait to read more. Thank you to Kensington and net galley for this review copy.

The fifth installment of this delightful series involves Juliet's (the mother of Bailey's boyfriend, Aiden) wedding and of course with it being Juliet nothing can go off without a hitch.

Of course someone would try to interrupt the wedding! Can this poor woman not catch a break?

The interlopers body is found and Bailey is determined to catch the killer.

I love this series so much. The cast feels like a family and a revelation in the book actually really shocked me!

Marshmallow Malice is the fifth installment in the Amish Candy Shop Mystery series set in the small Amish community of Harvest, Ohio and featuring Bailey King, chocolatier at her family owned Swissmen Sweets. The big day has finally arrived... Juliet Brody is set to marry Reverend Simon Brook. But of course, nothing involving Juliet is without mishaps including a hair emergency, a maid of honor dress that looks like an upside down cupcake, and a pet pig who decides to indulge in the marshmallow frosted wedding cake. Not to mention the drunk wedding crasher who attempts to stop the nuptials.

When Bailey goes to the church the next morning to clean up after the wedding she discovers the body of the wedding crasher dead on the front steps. It's no surprise when Reverend Brook, whom the woman had accused of being a traitor, becomes the prime suspect. Bailey knows in her heart that the kind man could not have committed the crime and she sets out with the help of her boyfriend, Sheriff Deputy Aiden Brody (Juliet's son) and best friend, Cass to track down the real killer. Her investigation uncovers a ring of moonshiners and sadly the well kept secret that someone close to her is a recovering alcoholic.

Another delightful addition to the series offers a fast paced and hilarious plot that also includes further insight into the workings of the Amish lifestyle. The return of many series regulars transports you right back into the heart of Harvest, with Jethro once again being the star of the show. The inclusion of recipes and mouthwatering descriptions of the sinful treats that Bailey and her family create will leave you drooling for the next installment in the series.

I received an advanced copy of Marshmallow Malice from NetGalley via Kensington Publishing. While not required to write a review I am happy to offer my honest opinion.
