Ladies, ladies, I was really disappointed in this book. It was not the sister's usual awesome story. It was too much of a washed out mean girls story line. Too childish.

The Five Firsts was a group of girls in high school that everybody wanted to be. Their senior year was supposed to be amazing, Delta one of the Five, had an amazing boyfriend, Tanner. He was so popular and all the girls wanted him, including her best friend Amanda. As the senior class has a party before graduation, a group of kids decide to go in the river even though the tide is too strong. As another classmate tries to help Tanner, she ends up not making it.
Ten years later at their reunion, it seems like all of Delta's friends have been with Tanner, and so many secrets and all this obsession over Tanner. Then 2 of their classmates are found dead, murder-suicide. But instead of people worrying about that, the girls were worrying about Tanner. It was so much of this back and forth of the girls obsessing over Tanner and after they are all beyond the age of still obsessing over someone from high school. Tanner and Delta are married with a son and their marriage isn't a happy one.
Six years after the reunion, Tanner is found stabbed and it looks like Delta did it.
More into the book there are so many plots happening it is hard to keep up.

This story starts in high school with a group of popular girls called the Five Firsts. At a party before graduation a girl tragically dies. We jump ahead to the current lives of the students, which resembled a soap opera with all the angst and cheating. This book never quite caught my interest. I skimmed parts of it, but still wanted to see how it would end. I would give this book 2 1/2 stars rounded up to 3. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

This was an okay mystery. I didn’t really care for any of the characters, found some of the storyline to be rushed and unrealistic ... the ending was okay. It’s one of those books that you read and then shelve.

Thank you #netgalley and #kensingtonbooks for the eARC.

Loved it! I couldn't stop reading. I stayed up so late reading that I fell asleep holding my kindle:) This story has lot of twists and turns, and people to love and people to hate. It definitely reminded me of some parts of high school, the partying, the recklessness, the beautiful people, the outsiders, the off limits hot teachers. As always, I love the setting, as I am a resident of the Pacific Northwest. The family of bad guys in the story, reminded me of a real life family in my area that were responsible for two slain officers. Even though this is fiction, it felt good to see justice done, as so often we miss out on it in real life.. Definitely, a good read.

When I started reading, I could not put this book down until I finished it. I was immediately drawn into the story with its twists and turns that kept me guessing until the very end. The characters, popular kids in high school, are forever changed by what happened one fateful night at the river. It haunts them years later and when the killings start everyone is a suspect. Excellent.

A fast paced thriller that will keep you guessing from beginning to end.

What an amazing puzzle this book is and no one knows who is what but the author leads you in different ways so that you think you might just get it and bam! Another direction. Brilliant characters, a maze so suspenseful you'll wonder if there'll be anyone left alive by the end. With one shock after another I felt like Carmen by the end on the book.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Last Girl Standing is a thriller mystery. One night changes everything for a set of high school senior girls and their cohorts. One death leads to several more with unanswered questions. Fast forward fifteen years and reckoning has arrived. As more bodies pile up, Delta, Ellie, and McRae race to find the answers. It's a twisty, fast paced read with many surprises.

I had high hopes for this book. I am a fan of Lisa Jackson and normally like her writing style and storylines. Unfortunately, Last Girl Standing was a disappointment. I felt like I read the same line over and over again about how "hot" Tanner Stahd was and how all the girls wanted him.

I had a difficult time liking or rooting for any of the characters. The plot felt long and drawn out. The book was hard to finish, but I trudged through and was surprised by who the killer was and the outcome.

this book starts out with 5 main girls in high school. It is full of teenage angst and jealousy. The weeks before graduation one of the girls drowns. Is it an accident or murder? Then the book skips 10 years and more deaths of the friends. I had a hard time with all of the jumping back and forth and I really just did not like most of the characters, too much angst and cheating among everybody. The end of the book was good and the killer was not who I expected. I would give a 3 1/2 but with the rating scale of even numbers, I will give it a 4 because I did like the ending

Secrets, lies, infidelity, jealousy, murders this book has it all. I actually read this in one sitting... That's how much I enjoyed it. The storyline flows so well and the characters are interesting to say the least. I really was never sure who the killer was. I highly recommend this book.

I have loved all of Lisa Jackson and Nancy Bush books, and Last Girl Standing , did not disappoint. This book is about five girls , who becomes friends in high school, and the tragic death of one of them at a party, just before graduation. Was it an accident or something more sinister, years later it seams all of them were keeping secrets. Last Girl Standing kept me guessing to the end, and that’s the best kind of story, the ones you can’t figure out to the end. Great job to the authors. Thank you Netgalley for this ARC, in exchange for my honest opinion.

3.5 star rating. I have to start off by saying I typically like Lisa Jackson's books, however I felt this wasn't on par with her average book. The book starts with a group of high school girls that forms a clique called the First Fives. There are five girls in the group, along with Elly, really wishes she was part of this group. At the end of their senior year, one of them ends up drowning. Perhaps it wasn't an accident? The book then transitions to their 10-year reunions, where another one of the ladies in the group dies.

The beginning of the book describes typical teenage girls competing for the popular guy, Tanner, who is Delta's boyfriend, but cheats on her constantly. It was tough keeping them straight as they all seemed to blend in together, it was kind of reminiscent of the movie Mean Girls.

Honestly, it was the final chapters of the book that were the make-or-break for me. This is where things picked up and got interesting. I honestly didn't know who the killer was until almost the very end. I found this to be a solid Thriller, although not stellar.

I would like to thank the author, publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
