Back to our cozy tea room, Daisy is back to being involved in another murder investigation. This one rattles her.
While there is a murder to solve, Daisy is also worried about her children.
A fun, quick cozy mystery.

While the mystery part of this was fine, it revolved more around postpartum depression and family ties. I had planned to read the others in the series, but was put off by the unnecessary comments "a women's great joy is having children" and " children are the glue that holds a marriage together". As a women who has chosen not to have children, I didn't appreciate the implication that I will never experience joy and my marriage will not stay together.
This cozy mystery series must have a different audience group than what I fit into and if you are family focused and enjoy a good tea room, then you will probably enjoy this series!

Daisy is a widow with two daughters. One is a newlywed expecting a baby and the other is a teenager learning how to deal with her birth mother. Daisy also owns & runs a tea room with her aunt. They are hired to cater an event where the owner is murdered. Daisy finds the body. And the story goes from there...

I like the characters and I like this story. I felt like there was too much detail about unimportant things. Like detail on what someone is wearing, etc.

Visiting Daisy's Tea Garden and it's loveable characters is always and enjoyable and this mystery didn't disappoint. Well written, addressing postpartum depression, a new member of the family and a mystery of past secrets, what's not to like?

Really good book that i read straight through. I didn't want to put it down as I NEEDED to find out who the murderer was.
What I really liked about this book that makes it stand apart from others is that besides the mystery of who killed Margaret was the emotional "real life" issues that were addressed. I think adding that into the story was unique and also very educational for many that this "issue" has touched.
Great book in every aspect.

The 5th in the Daisy Tea Garden Mystery series. Daisy Swanson and her Aunt Iris co-own Daisy’s Tea Garden and in slower times they take on catering jobs. So when a friend of hers sister is back in town it is a chance to help the catering business. Her client, Margaret Vaughn is an actress back in town with her rich husband and is planning and afternoon tea with her theater group. Daisy is sensing some tension during the event but all is going well until the very end when she finds the hostess dead in her own pantry. Once again she is being drawn into a murder and she really has too much going on. She has become a grandmother and her daughter is having some post-partum depression in which they are trying to help but she keeps getting drawn into the mystery. There are a lot going on and she is still struggling with events from another investigation which is real and makes sense for Daisy. The story moves at a good pace and balances the family and the challenges of Vi as a new mother and the mystery. The story kept me engaged and at times like these that is important to be entertained.

This is always a must read series for me. I love the author's writing style and the way she always draws on the strength of family. The mystery is always interesting as well. Not to mention the delicious recipes that are always included. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Love this series. Story well written and fantastic. The characters and setting are great the way Karen Rose Smith writes the story in the Amish setting you feel like you are there.

Daisy has lots on her plate with the coming of her new grandson when things get crazy at a tea she is catering. She needs to juggle a lot between family, work and mahem.

In this fifth installment of the Daisy’s Tea Garden Mystery series has Daisy Swanson trying to handle all the complex issues in her personal life along with running the tea garden. Daisy and her aunt, Iris decide to accept a catering job for a client who has recently returned from New York and now lives in Willow Creek, Pennsylvania.
While checking on extra cutlery in the pantry, Daisy discovers the body of Margaret Vaugh. She has clotted cream on her body as well as covering a very expensive brooch. Daisy calls the police and then Jonas Groft, her boyfriend who is an ex-cop. She is very shaken by the discovery of the body and doesn't have any wish to become in another murder case.....
Daisy has so much going on in her personal live; her daughter, Vi, is expecting her first child anyday, Jazzi is going to visit with her birth mother's family and her mother seems to be out of sorts too. In addition, Daisy and Jonas are growing closer in their relationship. She has several up and down moments in her life.
When the husband of the dead woman Rowan Vaugh, asks Daisy to help find the killer, she agrees to talk to her sister. But she can't help asking questions and soon becomes involved in the case, will she find the killer?
Daisy is excited about the birth of her first grandson, but her daughter, Vi has postpartum depression. Everyone pitches in to help Vi get through this difficult time. Karen Rose Smith handled this topic well and gave good information about seeking medical attention. This topic is something many new mothers face.
MURDER WITH CLOTTED CREAM is cozy mystery with great characters which I love reading about with each new book. Readers of this genre of books will certainly enjoy reading this one. I highly recommend it! I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley for an honest review. The opinions expressed are mine own views on this book.

This was a good cozy mystery. I strongly suggest you read the previous books in the series.
The whodunit was well written and the story of past secrets was interesting.

Daisy Swanson’s life is moving along at a good clip. She’s about to become a grandmother, her business with her Aunt Iris is doing well and she has found love again. When the sister of one of Daisy’s friends returns to Willow Creek she hires Daisy to host a tea at her home. When Daisy finds the woman’s body in the butler pantry, Daisy vows to stay out of the investigation. After all, she has a new grandson and a daughter who needs her. But finding a body means that Daisy has some questions she needs answered, but will finding the killer be her final answer?

A solid series that will leave you wanting more. The author handled the topic of postpartum depression so well and drew attention to something that many new mothers face and did it with dignity. This book is exactly what I needed as I read it while isolating at home.
