We finally get (Clarence) Wolfe's story! The dysfunctional Deep Ops agent appears to be a scary, crazy dominant male. And yet, the contradictions to the first impressions exist. Is he crazy? Maybe, or maybe he is just really, really driven by unfinished business. Is he scary? Maybe, but the little kitten that lives in his pocket is unafraid, Is he dominant and domineering? One would think so, but he is fiercely attentive to everyone's needs and rarely seems to force his will on anyone. Especially the main female character, Dana..
Dana Mulberry is an intrepid reporter, searching for answers about the disappearance of her good friend. Dana is quirky enough and skillful enough to fit in with the Deep Ops agents. There were times when the quest to appear loyal, independent and willful were overdone and downright dangerous to herself and others. But overall she is a good character.
This book had a good plot, lots of action, and of course, the true hero, Roscoe.
I highly recommend this book.

Awesome read! Heart pounding suspense, steamy romance and a highly entertaining dog. Roscoe had me wincing and laughing at the same time at the wedding reception. Hopefully he is one of a kind. Jethro should get his story too.

An Absolutely Outstanding Suspense Romance story .
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy through Netgalley of BROKEN . I really enjoyed reading Broken it's fantastic . It's action packed and very suspenseful . This story is full of humerous situations but it also is serious a wonderful combination . Roscoe rounds out the entire story . This is Wolfe and Dana's story and it's fabulous . The chemistry between the two hot and very intertwining at times . Wolfe has been fighting his attraction and feelings for Dana . He has an enemy that he knows will come after anyone and everyone he cares for to hurt him . He tries to keep her in the friend zone but it becomes harder the more time they spend together . When danger comes at Dana and Wolfe he's not sure if it's because of her investigation or if it's his fault .Wolfe decides he must keep Dana close to better protect her . While Wolfe accompanies Dana to her cousins wedding danger escalates and so does the heat between them . He can no longer keep her in the friend zone any longer . The danger is coming straight for them . Wolfe must stop him to get the future with Dana . This story keeps your attention from start to finish . It's well written and the characters are sensational . I highly recommend taking the time to read and enjoy .This is a favorite story for me .

I love Rebecca Zanetti's Deep Ops series and I'm sad to say this entry was my least favorite of them all. That doesn't mean it was a bad book, I just expected better I guess. I liked it but I didn't really love it like I did the previous books in the series.
The story was good, as expected. What lowered the rating for me was Dana, the heroine. I didn't like her. I couldn't warm up to her at all. She just rubbed me the wrong way I guess. She was annoying and stubborn (and not in a good way). I think the author tried to make her brave but she just came across as reckless. I really loved Wolfe in the previous books (he was one of my favorites members of the Deep Ops team) but in his own book he doesn't live up to the characterization from the previous book. I still loved Roscoe the dog very much. He's special. On the other hand there was great tension in the plot and it kept me turning the pages to find out how it's all connected and to see how it'll play out, which I liked.
Overall this wasn't a bad book, far from it, and I'd recommend it to my friends despite the things that bothered me about it. I'm also looking forward to reading the next book in the Deep Ops series and I'm hoping it's about Force. I'm dying to read his story.

Rebecca is always wickedly talented and wildly entertaining and this book is no exception. We learn to love Clarence "Wolfe" over the previous books in this series. I LOVED this story and learning more about him and Dana. They are the perfect match - he needs someone that needs his protection while also standing up to him. Both solving this "op" and falling in love with her heals his soul. We are so lucky to have Rebecca sharing you storytelling talent with us!

Another winner in the Deep Ops series by Rebecca Zanetti -- this is Wolfe and Dana's story. Wolfe, ex-Navy SEAL, is always being sent to dangerous hot spots with his team of security specialists. He has so many enemies that he's afraid to get close to Dana, a reporter who is trying to find out who killed a friend of hers. If his enemies harmed her he'd never forgive himself. The chemistry between Wolfe and Dana is explosive and while working together on a case, they realize that they can't ignore it any longer. Lots of action, suspense, and red hot romance make this a great read.

Rebecca Zanetti returns to her Deep Ops series with Broken, a story about a former Navy SEAL and determined to avenge his fallen brothers in arms and the woman who wants to help him.

Clarence Wolfe has been biding his time looking for the man who killed his team while working for Homeland Defense Department, a motley crew of good men and women who’d have his back if he’d let them. But he’s reluctant to let anyone close to him for fear his nemesis might hurt his loved ones to get at him, especially the alluring woman who keeps needing his backup when getting into sticky situations.

Freelance reporter Dana Mulberry needs to find out what happened to her journalist friend. Her findings lead her to a sexy club where she runs into none other than the tall, dark and sexy Wolfe who’s put her squarely in the friend zone.

As Wolfe steps in to protect her they find out their cases overlap. Working together while keeping Dana safe tests Wolfe’s control over his feelings towards her and soon they’re both tangled up in more ways than one.

Dana is energetic and keen to put her safety on the line for a good story, but she’s more eager to put her heart out for the broken yet incredibly alpha swoony Wolfe. Where Wolfe is fierce and a bit withdrawn, she’s strong and determined. But they make a great team finding common ground in their sense of civic duty and resolve.

Zanetti writes an electrifying plot with skill, including characters from past books giving Wolfe and Dana the support characters needed to develop the danger and intrigue that surrounds them. And while Wolf and Dana’s chemistry is palpable, it takes a while for Wolfe to relent.

I had met Wolfe since the start of the series. He came of as a bit off and yes, broken. I loved how Zanetti showed this was mostly about Wolfe’s desire to protect everyone around him first. She writes movingly of how much life had taken from him but even more deeply of the reward of letting others help starting with Dana. Their romance was intensely hot and passionate.

But not everything was intense danger and romance. Zanetti expertly interweaves some much welcome humor by adding the issue-riddled Roscoe, an alcoholic dog with a shoe and makeup fetish who gives each book and extra star!

Broken is book #3 of the Deep Ops series by Rebecca Zanetti. It is a thrilling suspenseful romance told from both points of view, with a happy ending.

I loved getting back into the Deep Ops gang after Brigid and Raider's book. (The novella in Pivot with a minor Wolfe role just wasn't enough to wet my appetite) I love how Wolfe was so guarded and protective of Dana without coming off like an overbearing jerk. And Dana was an ambitious reporter without being the ball busting, career above all else kind. They were a great couple with a good balance of give and take. A lot of guest stars appeared and I hope we see more of them, hopefully in their own books.

I received an ARC for this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

ARC received for review

Wolfe has been one of my favorites since book one. He likes Dana but doesn't want a relationship with her because he's afraid someone from his past will hurt her because of it. Multiple bad guys running around all connected to his former buddy turned extreme bad guy. Lots of interaction with all the Deep ops peeps and previous couples. Roscoe and Kat are still my favorite. Several new characters introduced to keep this series going.

This was the first book by this author I’ve read, and although I enjoyed it, I constantly felt I was missing out on parts of the story because I hadn’t read the other books. I sometimes wish they would say if it was part of a series

Broken is the first book I’ve read from Rebecca Zanetti but it definitely won’t be my last. This book is part of a bigger series. Even though I hadn’t read the previous books, I never felt lost or that I was missing out. Broken tells the story of Clarence Wolfe who is ex-military and currently part of a Deep Ops team and Dana, a spunky investigative reporter. Dana’s current story and Wolfe’s personal mission have them crossing paths and working together. From the very beginning, sparks are flying and tension is high.

This book reminded me how much I love Romantic Suspense. It was sexy, fun, tense at times and kept me engaged to where it was hard to put down. I really loved the whole Deep Ops team and am definitely wanting to read the stories in the series that have already happened as well as others to come. Plus, there’s a sweet, hilarious dog, Roscoe, that just has you laughing out loud.

Broken is a book I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a bit of action with their HEA. Fans of Pamela Clare would really enjoy this. Loved it!

Action, suspense and romance are front and centre in this sweetly addictive read. Ex navy seal Clarence Wolfe is a kamikaze agent in an FBI deep operations team, he’s intent on getting revenge on a deadly, psychotic and traitorous colleague from a previous military assignment. Pig headed and alpha all rolled in to one, Wolfe is determined to keep nosey reporter Dana Mulberry in the friend zone. Forced together when their cases intermingle keeping Dana at a distance is proving to be a mission in and of itself. Wonderful characters, an action packed storyline, and a dog that proves he’s more than just an average canine, way to go Roscoe. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Wolfe has been my favorite since the first book of the series... well, beside Roscoe. Roscoe is on a level all his own. That dog has brought more comedy to this series than any other animal in a book. I adore the animal.

This whole rag tag team is made up of some quirky characters. They have messed up in the eyes of their superiors one way or another. Wolfe is that big scary dude that also has woman wanting to cuddle him like a bear. What can I say, I love the weird. That's a big reason he's been my favorite from the start, even though I've enjoyed all the characters.

I usually struggle with journalist just because they always seem to get themselves in stupid situations and take no heed to their own safety. I didn't have the struggle with Dana, and that probably has more to do with Wolfe always covering her back. They made such a good team together and I adore how protective he is of her.

I'm happy to say that Wolfe stood up to my high expectations for his book. My heart just melted with a few scenes that made me love him more. So good!

I absolutely loved this book and am in awe at Rebecca Zanetti’s writing skills! There is a wonderfully rich, emotional depth to this story which at times has your heart racing with excitement or makes you literally laugh out loud at the deft humourous touches - Roscoe, the alcoholic dog with a shoe fetish and deep abiding hatred of Argyl patterns is a good example of this! Although the story refers to such dark topics as drug trafficking and rape (of a friend of the heroine), somehow it remains optimistic and uplifting, leaving you with a warm glow at the end of the book. As ever, there is a full complement of quirky and endearing secondary characters as well as appearances from characters in previous books in the series. I am beyond thrilled to have had the chance to read this early and can’t wait for Rebecca’s next book!

I have been waiting for Wolfe’s story. It was great. I loved watching him try to figure out his trauma to be able to fashion a life with Dana.

Another winner! This is a quickly moving story that finally gives Wolfe and Dana their chance at togetherness.....too bad someone is trying to kill them. Wolfe has been chasing a crazy man responsible for many deaths and much destruction. He refuses to let anyone in his life as he doesn't want to risk them and doesn't expect to survive the coming battle.

Dana is a reporter who sometimes helps Wolfe's team. She is trying to find her reporter friend and turns to the team for help. Unfortunately,, her investigation puts her in a number of compromising situations.

I loved the characters and was totally engrossed in their story. The sparks flying between them were so hot I'm surprised my kindle didn't ignite.

If you enjoy fast paced romantic suspense, this is a must read. The author is on my must read authors' list.

Ah Wolfe. Enigmatic former SEAL with PTSD. With his trusty sidekick Kat he has been the silent support through the other books in the series. Now he gets to have his HEA!

Dana is our very own Lois Lane. She givers her all to her stories and more than once she may have got herself into a little bit of trouble. She has also been a great support to the team - much to the Mainstream Homeland agents chagrin! Now she is in the sights of one of her most dangerous targets yet and Wolfe may be her only way out!

OMG Wolfe undercover at a sex club - yummy! Add in dysfunctional family weddings, meeting Dana's sisters (yes there are more of her!) and more slapstick adventures with Roscoe and this is another great book in this series! Plus we have fresh blood joining the gang - including a very mysterious Brit - roll over James Bond 007!

Dana and Wolfe may not have had an easy start in the romance department but they have had a really strong friendhip and attraction. I loved that they never really lost anything from taking their friendship further. I loved learning about wedding bingo - I'm going to suggest this at out next family wedding! Roscoe - that poor doggie needs his own emotional support animal - he got issues!

I will attempt to wait patiently for the next book in the series - who am I kidding! I'm already counting down the day!

I was expecting something more from Dana and Wolf, because they are around since the beginning, but it was a good easy reading story, with some funny perks and some good plot twist.

Mi aspettavo qualcosa di piú da Dana e Wolf, fosse solo perché sono in giro dall'inizio, peró non era male come libro, scorrevole con alcune battute salaci e un paio di plot twist.

THANKS NETGALLEY FOR THE PREVIEW!

This book is full of action from the first page. It is part of a series but could be read as a stand alone. This is Wolfe’s and Dana’s story. Dana is a reporter who is following a story that connects a Deep Ops team investigation. I loved the dog Roscoe who provides some comic moments. This story has suspense along with a romance. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

Hands down the best book in the series. Loved Wolfe and Dana's story!

As always this series is the perfect mixture of compelling suspense, hot romance and humor. Thinking back to when we first met Clarence Wolfe who was a big intimidating man of few words who carried a stray kitten in his pocket. Now that kitten is fully grown and Wolfe now has his hands full with his past and with a sexy investigative reporter.

From the moment I started this book I didn't want to put it down. It's a at times laugh out loud thrill ride a minute. Now that Wolfe's past is resolved I cannot wait to see what's next.
