This series just gets better and better!

This is the story of Kingston and Queenie. (Love the name!)

First off, I fell in love hard with both King and Queenie.  I loved the straight arrow that King is and the chaos that is Queenie.  I loved the quirks that both of them have and how they truly fit together.

After the bomb of information gets dropped on King he decides to break the rules, live a little and have a few drinks.  That's where he meets Queenie and the sparks fly!

Ms. Hunting's stories have a way of grabbing the reader right from the start.  This is a brilliant story of secrets revealed, past mistakes not fading away and the fantasy of the perfect man. A gentleman in the streets and a freak in the sheets....holy h-e-double hockey sticks the smexy scenes between King and Queenie made me melt!

This story is funny and smart and it is going to pull on your heartstrings in the best of ways.  The secondary characters are fantastic and as always seeing past characters make appearances is always such a treat!

This is definitely in the running for my "Best Reads of 2020!"

This was such a fun book to read! I'm not talking saying it was a rom com, or that it was light and fluffy; the opposite, in fact. No, what made this book so much fun was the way it took deep feelings and handled them respectfully. There was no humiliation of female characters. There was passion, intelligent conversation, and a strong connection between Queenie and Kingston.

Queenie was a heartbreaking character. I am intimately familiar with having a person who is supposed to be supportive be, instead, the complete reverse. I know what it's like to be torn down at every opportunity, and to self-doubt and belittle oneself. This exacts its toll on even the most intelligent and compassionate person, so it's no surprise that Queenie struggled so much.

Kingston was Queenie's perfect counterbalance. Knowing his situation had him in a difficult position made the way he handled everything not only totally understandable, but also admirable. Would I have liked him to assert himself a bit more earlier on in the story? Well, of course. But I also know that his years of playing family mediator and placating everyone is not something that can be switched off easily. He put his foot down when it counted the most.

I think the only real problem I had with this story was that Queenie's unusual name was never acknowledged or explained. (I wasn't sure if we were under the assumption that she's African American or not.) It continually threw me out of the story.

However, I loved that Kingston understood Queenie's chaos and embraced it. I loved that they were prepared to talk with her father respectfully before they began officially dating. I loved that they talked things out, with each other and with people they trusted, so you know that they communicate well and maturely. The secrets being kept were not from each other, and I appreciated the absence of dragging the big reveal out painfully.

And heck, I finally get why the captain of the team is still being called Rook (short for Rookie) way past the appropriate time! Only now I think the series should have had a reference to chess considering the three books have been about Rook, Bishop, and King and Queenie. (I'm just wondering about how they'll turn Jake into Castle or Knight. LOL)

Overall this story - this whole series, really - has been a joy to read. Female positivity done right. Athlete stereotypes discarded. Beautiful prose, clever dialogue, and heartfelt emotions round out the reasons why I've enjoyed every single book thus far. I know this book hasn't even released yet, but I'm already eagerly awaiting the next by this fantabulous author!

There is not a Helena Hunting book that I do not love! King & Queenie were just the right book at just the right time for me. Their story is oh so sweet and steamy - just how their relationship is. Ryan Kingston is the boy-next-door/Boy Scout to Queenie's chaos and loud. They are the epitome of Yin and Yang. And they work so perfectly together. I cracked up at King's almost OCD-like characteristics in comparison to Queenie's mess of a bungalow, office drawers, and approach at life. She was definitely the chaos to his calm, but I loved them for it.

Both King & Queenie have past issues that they are working through when they first meet, and as their story unfolds, we see more and more of how they both ended up in the spot they were that first night they met. I loved how determined King was to win Queenie's heart, even when he knew he shouldn't; and I loved how easily Queenie gave in to King's charms. They were both so easy to love and their chemistry together was hot.

It was endearing to watch both of them come to terms with their pasts, and especially cheer Queenie on to follow her dreams. Once again H Hunting left me with a big grin on my face when this story ended. If you like easy-to-read, witty and steamy sports romance...then this one's for you!

On one hand we have King who is put together like a Boy Scout always following the straight and narrow well all except the bedroom. And on the other hand we have Queenie who is chaos and unorganized and mostly a hot mess. But together these tow fit together like two puzzle pieces. Like ying and yang.

This book was perfection and everything I would expect from Helena. We had a little drama, some intense chemistry and romance for miles. Can I have a King for a boyfriend?

We caught up with old favorites and loved on those Waters twins. This was just an all around great book.

I absolutely love Helena Hunting's books (especially Pucked & now the All In spinoff) and A Secret for a Secret was no exception. The story of King & Queenie was fun, quirky, sexy & a win on every level for me. I love how Hunting weaves characters from past books into her new books (hi Alex & Violet) and it feels like revisiting old friends. There was a nice subplot about Queenie finding herself artistically and involved her teaching Lavender, Alex and Violet's daughter, which was incredibly heart warming and one of my favorite sides to this romance.

Thank you to Montlake Romance for an advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

Ryan and Queenie are so perfect together!

What starts as a one-night-stand of sharing their darkest secrets soon turns into a forbidden attraction when, six weeks later, Queenie and Ryan meet again and realize they both work for her father. This is a delightful opposites-attract story with such a strong emotional connection between the two main characters, there's no way they can avoid crashing into each other.

Ryan is usually the level-headed boy scout, but recent news has turned his life upside down and he's still spinning, trying to find his center. Queenie is a whirlwind of chaos, a tornado that sweeps everything into her path, including Ryan. I absolutely adored their steady romance and how they confronted their obstacles one by one, supporting each other through it all.

Their HEA was joyful and peaceful all at once, exactly what they needed from each other. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is perhaps my favorite All In story. Kingston is Mr. Goody Two Shoes. We've seen in prior books that he orders milk whenever he goes out. He is kind, super polite and an all around nice guy. He's not a player off the ice and is loyal to his friends and his girlfriend. But what is hiding behind that mask he seems to be wearing? Are their secrets lurking behind those kind eyes? Why yes, yes their are and there are some definite doozies here to unpack. Every great King needs a Queen to balance him out and Kingston may have met his match with the chaos that is Queenie. His ordered life is about to go sideways in more ways than one and this is one ride that is worth taking...for him...for Queenie and for the reader. (I vote for a #4 Momster needs a story ;) )

I enjoyed this book more than the other two in the series. Queenie and Kingston were really cute together and I liked their chemistry. I also liked the relationship between Queenie and Lavender. However, what I didn't really like was that the plot (the secret around the night they spent together, and then their relationship) was resolved rather quickly in the story, so there wasn't a lot of angst. I think that's what bothered me in the other books in this series as well.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I love everything about this book: secrets, surprises and sensational characters!

"I see you, Queenie. Don't let anyone tell you that you're not worthy."

Move over alpha-holes it's time for sexy sweethearts like Ryan "King" Kingston. Swoon; he's really too good to be true. Sweet, thoughtful, rule-follower King has no idea what he's in for with Queenie. Her chaos, strength and guarded heart have him determined to win her over.

"I'd rather have her chaos than stay stuck in the calm, where everything is lackluster."

Queenie's spontaneous passion and emotional vulnerably and King's steadfast determination and unfailing support mix flawlessly for a hat-trick of heat, heart and humor. With favorite characters from the All In and Pucked series (I adore Alex's and Violet's little girl, Lavender) A Secret for a Secret is an all-time favorite.

"I feel like I've finally found my person. The one who won't try to tame my chaos but will let me live in it and help me balance my impulsiveness with stability."

I cannot wait to see what Helena Hunting has in store next!

DNF at 50%. There was nothing wrong with this book- I think it was just a case of wrong timing. I started this one immediately after finishing A Favor For a Favor, and I just couldn’t go from Bishop’s grumpy bad boy to King’s scrubbed up sweetheart. I might revisit it in the future but for now, this one is now for me.

Omg! I love King and Queenie!!

I'm having a hard time deciding which of these books in this series is my favorite... every couple is so special.
King is like the epitome of a good boy, and Queenie... well she is not. After a one night stand that rocked both their worlds, they run into each other in the one place neither expected.

Gahhhhh... I loved this book so hard. Each book gets better and better. And I loved the little glimpse into violet and alex's kids!! So sweet!!!

Although I will say that Kings family made me sooooo mad!! 🤬😡🤬

I absolutely recommend this book and series to everyone.

I recieved an ARC for my honest review.

Omg so good. I loved King and Queenie’s story. It’s become my new favorite of the series. I love meeting the kids especially Lavendar. I feel like I really connected with Queenie as I have severe anxiety. Such a funny wonderful story! I can’t wait to see more!

Who says the nice guy always finishes last? Well, then they haven't met Kingston! Because this nice guy has the perfect naughty side when he isn't driving at exactly the speed limit and wearing khakis and polos. When we met him in the first two books, he comes across as so straight-laced. He is the consummate gentleman always, but seeing him let loose is a slice of perfection Hunting couldn't have written any better. In fact, Kingston and Queenie are like the next generation Alex and Violet (and those two are nothing short of messy perfection). They appear to be opposites, yet King and Queenie are matching puzzle pieces (just like our other favorite crazy couple).

What I find incredibly interesting about this story is how King and Queenie would balance each other out. Queenie made impulsive decisions in her past (and was still prone to them) and Kingston was the calm to her storm. And when Kingston came unraveled, Queenie was there. They rose to the occasion to be each other's balancing point, even before they knew each other and on to when it was forbidden to be together.

While it made me sad to see Queenie be a slave to her past bad decisions, there was a great appreciation as she tried her best to move on from her past. And he was doing it for her, even if she couldn't or didn't want to see it. I think Kingston helped her realize she could be a better version of herself let go of past mistakes. And while Queenie had an incredible dad (who I really hope finds his own happily ever after), it was Kingston who was the missing chess piece in her game of life.

This is a perfect story for your next read. Don't just add it to your TBR, dive right in. You can't go wrong with Hunting!

Queenie and Ryan are everything!
Be still my heart, Ryan is a rule-following, hot, sweet, hockey-playing guy who on his one night of meeting someone gets left in the morning. Until he meets her again, now very much aware that the girl who left him on his one-night stand is none other than Queenie, his hockey team general manager's daughter. She is a little wild, a lot gorgeous, and can't believe she is seeing Ryan again. These two have chemistry off-the-chart, and while they shouldn't be together, they can't help themselves. I love the secrecy of their relationship, and the emotional turmoil they both go through because of it. I love how Ryan worships Queenie, and I love the entire story. Don't miss this third standalone in the All In series!

This was such a fun read! A highly entertaining book that I couldn't put down! Helena injects her signature wit and humor into this steamy story.

Ryan Kingston is the milk drinking, rule following, khaki pants wearing goalie for the new Seattle hockey team. I absolutely loved his character! He seems like such a straight laced buy, but once he meets Queenie - officially that is, and they get together, he's a whole other man when he gets between the sheets!

Queenie was really a breath of fresh air! I loved her spunk and no-filter and the bantering back and forth between her and Ryan was so much fun! She is the complete opposite of Ryan. Where she is quirk and chaos, he is calm and collected.

Between Ryan's messed up family and a secret that surfaces from Queenie's past, I was afraid these two weren't going to weather the rough times, but I loved how Helena had these two working in sync to overcome the obstacles ahead of them. AND I absolutely loved seeing Alex, Violet and kids!! It was so good to catch up with them!

Helena has a winner on her hands with this one!!

Great story about straight laced Kingston and whirlwind Queenie! It was a nice story about how two people found each other and learned to grow and lean on each other.

Queenie and King, I just love these two!! How cute is their names together as well? This was my favorite couple and book from this series. Ryan is the perfect gentleman. He’s humble, safe, protective and has these quirks that endears you to him. You cannot help but fall for this gentle giant. Queenie is awesome as well. She has no filter and it was pleasant. She’s not the whiney, too blunt heroine. I did feel for her though with the way she perceived herself. She is very strong willed but would let that all get in her head. Ryan was perfect for her. I loved Ryan and Hanna’s relationship as well but there is a situation that kinda wanted me to smack his Mom upside her head. His family is hilarious though. Jake and Queenie’s relationship was awesome as well.

After being in a reading slump for so long I decided to give this book a try because I love Helena hunting and I loved Kingston so much that I was excited to discover why he likes milk so much I mean, I like milk but the way he likes it is weird hahaha, so I was excited to see this book coming to life in just about 15 days, I can't believe it. This book is very funny like extremely funny, you're going to laugh, you're going to choke because of it; 1 things that I love about this story is the fact that Bishop might be an introvert man but he definitely is funny like as hell so I enjoy it his relationship with Kingston also Queenie' is very supportive like a lot I I was in love with her dad and the way he was with her I honestly was hoping to see something like happening to queenie's mom because she definitely needed to be called off for what she did to her daughter. It is not fair for Queenie's to thingk she was a mistake because of her mom. King is so so lovable, so loyal,so right; he feels safe 💋🥰💙💕, but reading this book, reading their love story makes you feel like you really matter for Kingston,; it makes you feel like you are Quenie. I love that about a book, about the writing.

I read romance not only because I want in love with the genre and because I'm a hopeless romantic but also I love a sory that makes me feel all the feelings the main characters are going thru. I enjoyed A Secret for A Secret becuase i gpt envolved in the story. Therefire, if you are thinking about buying this boo just give it a chance, go for it, it is highly recommended. You're going to enjoy it, you're going to want to punch the bad guy Corey (I hated him so much and was hoping for a punishment for him like really bad punishment). I told my mom about this book and she's like wow who raised that man, I'm like "Mom you know it is a character, right?" but I loved King since the moment he appeared in A Favor for A Favor.... I love him so much.

A Secret for a Secret is the third book in the All In series by Helena Hunting. Each book can be enjoyed as part of the series or on its own. It is currently scheduled for release on May 12 2020.

My name is Ryan Kingston, and I’m a rule follower. I’ve never been in a fistfight. I always obey the speed limit. I don’t get drunk, and I definitely don’t pick up random women at bars. Except the night I found out that my whole existence has been a lie. I got drunk. And picked up a stranger. Her name was Queenie, and she was everything I’m not: reckless, impulsive, and chaotic. We did shots and traded secrets. And ended up naked at my place. She left me a thank-you note in the morning and her panties as a parting gift. But no way to contact her. Six weeks later I’m sitting in the first official team meeting of the season, and there she is. I neglected to mention that I’m the goalie for Seattle’s NHL team. And Queenie? Turns out she’s the general manager’s daughter.

A Secret for a Secret is a sports romance with humor, heat, and heart. Ryan looks and acts like a boy scout, but his family life and history is not as perfect as anyone looking at him would suspect. Queenie feels like she is an utter mess, and has little faith in herself. When a one night stand has to change into a working relationship the battle really starts. I liked watching them come together, and get to know themselves and each other better. I could understand both of their frustrations, self doubt, and concern for each other. I did see a couple of the twists coming, but just enough so that I wanted to warn the characters to spare them the confrontations and additional angst. As a fan of the author I loved getting to see past characters come into play.
A Secret for a Secret is another great book from Hunting. Fans will need to add this to their collection.

I've read a few of Helena Hunting's hockey books before, and enjoyed them - they're funny! Hockey players! And I enjoyed this one too, with a caveat.

Queenie is a whirlwind, trying to get her life in order, but not believing she can do it. Kingston has his life in order, down to the smallest detail. They have a blistering one night stand, then meet again under awkward circumstances: She's working at the assistant for the GM (also her dad) for the team that Kingston plays on.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this - I love how extremely buttoned up Kingston is, and Queenie's growing desire to persist despite her previous faltering. Their chemistry is good. There's a particularly funny scene with a strawberry shake. And I love how, once Queenie finds a supportive group of friends and people to believe in her, she begins to blossom.

The villain characters (there are three) are one dimensional and just total villains. Honestly, I was fine with that - not everyone needs to be humanized or have a redemption arc.

My caveat, however, is that I would have preferred the book without the Epilogue. Normally, I love an epilogue. Now this is personal, and YMMV, but it just didn't work for me. I can see it making sense in universe, but it's not what I wanted for the characters. And because it's the last impression I'm left with, it skews my feeling about the whole story.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley for review.
