“I’d rather have her chaos than stay stuck in the calm, where everything is lackluster.” ~ Kingston

When stable, rule following Kingston indulges in an uncharacteristic one night stand, little does he know his controlled world is about to become a lot messier! The impulsive girl he hooked up with & can’t get out of his head turns out to be the one girl he can’t have- his bosses daughter Queenie.

This was easily my favorite book in the series and Kingston & Queenie made a perfectly imperfect couple! Kingston is adorablely awkward & sweet and makes every attempt to show Queenie how amazing she is, even when she is being her own worst critic. The addition of characters from previous books flow effortlessly & Violet’s daughter, the shy Lavender, is a scene stealer. The madcap scene about King’s strawberry allergy is hilarious & something that would only happen in the Pucked world! Loved this book, loved the series and hope we have more stories to look forward to with these characters in the future.

Kingston and Queenie are fantastic. You have Queenie who has just lost her job and feels that she is dependent on her dad and just can’t figure her life out for herself. Kingston never seems to stray from the rules but when a family secret is revealed to him he takes a night off from his straight and narrow personality. The two meet at a bar while trying to get drunk to forget their problems. Of course sleeping together ends up a bit of a problem when Queenie ends up working for her dad who is in charge of Kingston’s team. He still wants to see her and wants to be public about it. She is opposite of him but they blend well together and even each other out. Unfortunately there is something in Queenie’s past that may put a damper in their new relationship. Great read and wonderful characters. Lots of funny moments and I think Kingston is one of my new favorite hero’s.

SWOON!! THE KING HAS FOUND HIS QUEEN!!

Oh Helena how much I enjoyed this!! Once I started I was hooked! You made my heart swoon!!

I loved King and Queenie, they were complete opposites but he was the anchor to her storm and she gave him the Chaos he needed.

Helena brought us the brilliant blend of emotion mixed with her crazy humour! You will be thoroughly entertained from beginning to end. I wasn't sure anyone could surpass my love for Bishop and Stevie but you have done it with King and Queenie's story.

As always it was lovely seeing some of my old favourites mixed with new characters. I can't wait to see what you bring us next.

A Secret for a Secret is the third book in the All In series, but can be read as a standalone. If you have read the other books in the series, this one is about Ryan Kingston, who first appeared in Book 2 as Bishop’s best friend. Kingston is the definition of a nice guy. He’s always put together, never loses control, super safe, always makes smart decisions. But, Kingston just found out a shocking family secret and is at a bar drinking alone (not his usual behavior at all), when he meets Queenie. Queenie is the exact opposite of Kingston. She’s a hot mess, making many reckless decisions. But, they end up hitting it off and go home together. She disappears, and 6 weeks later, shows up at the hockey rink working for her Dad, the General Manager of Ryan’s hockey team. He is obviously shocked to find out her real identity. They start pursuing a relationship with each other, with some secrets and tough obstacles in their way. It’s an adorable, sweet sports romance between two very different people and I liked it a lot. The entire series has been great and I would definitely recommend it, especially to hockey fans.

Fans of contemporary sports romance in general and Helena Hunting in particular will be delighted with this new instalment of All In series that deals with romantic lives of Seattle NHL team... and in my humble opinion, this one is the best so far.

Romance books are full of bad boys who swear, drink too much, treat their parents with no respect and cheat on their partners. And yet, countless readers continue justifying their behaviour and find excuses for them. And there are very few (too few) books where the protagonist is a good man, caring and thoughtful, has principles and lives according to them. I don't know about you, but I find this kind of guy irresistible.

Ryan Kingston (AKA King) is a goalkeeper. His job is to save and protect. He is also as good of a guy as it gets. No lying, drunken one-night stands with strangers, or anything impulsive or chaotic. Partly this can be explained by his family story. He just recently found out that his older sister Hanna is really his mother, and his caring and sometimes interfering Mother is ....his grandmother. His brother (Uncle) who has been in and out of prison a few times is one of the reasons why his parents (grandparents) were very strict with him and instilled a healthy respect for rules and acting sensibly at all times. Ryan lets his guard just once: the night when he finds out that he's been lied to all his life, shocked, upset, and confused about what this discovery will mean for all of them, he gets drunk with Queenie, a beautiful and lonely girl who has had her own share of trouble. They trade secrets and do shots, and have a wild night with no expectation to see each other again. Until Ryan finds out that Queenie is going to work as the new assistant for the team general manager. Not only that- she is also the manager's daughter and is strictly off limits for any player on the team.

There is great chemistry and undeniable attraction between Queenie, who might have made a few serious mistakes in her life, and King, who does everything by the book and needs somebody to show him that there is a lot in life he's been missing out on. Ryan is sweet and tender, but it also takes a special kind of girl to appreciate and love him for himself, not his money or his success or even his family. Queenie is smart, artistic, kind and generous, but it takes a special kind of guy who is going to be there for her, and will help her lose her insecurities and start to believe in herself. Save and protect.

Sweet, sexy (there are a few hot and steamy scenes in this book- this is Helena Hunting, after all) and surprisingly romantic, A Secret for a Secret is a light and enjoyable read for all fans of contemporary sports romance.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for the ARC provided in exchange for an honest opinion.

***5 ‘Eye of the Storm’ Stars***

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in this series, but this one may just be my favorite and it all has to do with Kingston and Queenie. These two had me grinning like a loon for almost the entire book (only ‘almost’ because there are some intense moments) but overall, I loved watching these two total opposites collide and become everything to each other.

Queenie is fiesty. She’s all kinds of sassy, sweet and compassionate. She isn’t blind to her faults, and though her insecurities can wreak havoc on her confidence, she definitely owns all that she is. Kingston is a true boy scout. OMG, his need to toe the line is insane. But that’s what ended up totally endearing me to him. He is simply a good man, but does have a nice little dose of wild when the time is right.

Their journey to their HEA was a lot of fun. They are opposites in a lot of ways, but they flowed well together, it felt like they helped to fill in the other’s missing pieces and helped to make the other stronger because of it. Their bantering was a lot fun and the chemistry between them was HOT! And as for the bumps in their journey, of which there were quite a few ~ some surprising, others not so much ~ I liked how everything got handled and loved where they were at in their relationship in the end.

This was such a fun read for me. The drama did have me rolling my eyes a time or two, but it was all worth it to see King and Queenie get their HEA. As for the secondary characters. I loved getting to know Jake, Queenie’s dad and the teams GM better ~ and I’m crossing my toes he may get his own HEA at some point. Catching up with RJ, Lainey, Bishop and Stevie was a lot of fun, but it was Lavender, River and Hanna who were my favorites and I’m hoping we’ll books on all of them in the future!

Another amazing addition to an awesome series!! Ryan Kingston is definitely my favorite so far! Helena Hunting really know how to give us the best hockey players to swoon over!!!

Ryan Kingston is the goalie for Seattle’s NHL team. Even though he’s a hockey player, he’s not your regular playboy. In the contrary, his sweet, shy and an overall good guy. He always follows the rules and never loose control. After a really unexpected revelation regarding his family, he finds himself lost and with the urge to let go. That’s when he meets Queenie.

Queenie is his polar opposite. She’s chaotic, loud and too expressive for her own good. Losing her job is what brings her to the bar where Ryan is. Their mommy issues is what primarily brings them together, but their chemistry is what keeps them going. After their first night, she leaves him with a post-it, a pair of underwear and no way to contact her. Imagine both their surprise when they see each other at the first team meeting. Queenie is the GM’s new assistant and his daughter as well!

“There’s no place I’d rather be than the eye of your storm.”

I must say, I loved Kingston and Queenie’s story! I couldn’t stop reading, because I was too eager to see how these two will end up. Kingston’s character was a nice change. It was good to see a player that’s sweet and cute and only turns unhinged with his woman! These two are definitely a match. Their relationship is not an easy one. Both have things to work through and that’s what makes their story even better!!

If you are looking for a sports romance with a sweet and wickedly sexy hockey player and the tornado that will bring him to his knees, then look no more; you just found it!!!!

The first 60% of the book was a bit slow, then after that it progress at a better pace in my opinion. I just wished the first half of it wasn't so slow.

I have been waiting to read Ryan Kingston’s story, I was so intrigued by him from previous books. He's so different than any hockey players I've read. He's like a preppy, so organised, so controlled, genuine and a total nice guy. But this one woman came to him like a storm and brought chaos to his life. Then he finds out he actually had a one-night stand with his team General Manager's daughter. There's a silent policy, not to get involved with anyone related to the team members, and that includes Queenie. But can he really stay away from her?

Like I said, it was a bit slow at first, but then after that, it starts to picked up and I couldn't put it down. There's heavier conflict in this one, compared to the previous books. Truly Helena's style, her characters are just amazing and hilarious!

„There’s no place I’d rather be than the eye of your storm.”

It’s official. Ryan Kingston stole the show and thanks to him A Secret For A Secret is my favorite part of the All In series! If you read Helena Hunting, you’re well aware that she writes phenomenal hockey romances. And while I’m all for cocky players, I can’t deny that sweet, polite King instantly made me swoon. He was like a breath of fresh air and his pursuit to win over Queenie’s heart turned me into a puddle. This book is a perfect mix of sweet and sexy!

Queenie is an epitome of hot mess express. Running from her problems, she’s like a walking whirlwind of contradictions. On the one hand she’s lost and vulnerable, and on the other she’s wild, vibrant and strong. A beautiful chaos in the center of King’s organized, calm life.

King is every woman’s dream-man. Well-mannered, polite, charming. He’s the friend you can always count on and a rule-follower. But when he meets Queenie, she looses him up and brings a little crazy into his life. Gentleman in the streets, freak in the sheets- that’s the perfect expression for this guy.

One fateful day they shared secrets and a night full of unrestrained passion. And although rules say that they need to stay away from each other, they simply can’t. The chemistry and lust are too strong. These two complement each other beautifully and bring to each other’s lives a perfect balance. I couldn’t get enough of them together.

A Secret For A Secret is the perfect addition to the All In series. It’s full of Helena’s witty humor, steam and sweetness. This book was incredibly entertaining and swoon-worthy. Must read for fans of adorable rom-coms!

The romance is spicy, the storyline is incredible and Helena hunting has outdone herself. This is a quick easy read. It pulls you in from the very first page. It’s juicy and you just want to keep reading. It’s definitely hard to put down.

4.5 'The calm to my storm' Stars!
ARC provided by the the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Who fell in love with the sweet Ryan Kingston in the All In series? THIS GIRL! And I loved him even more after reading his wonderful love story with his queen, Queenie. How freaking adorable is that? I love me a funny, sugary sweet and steamy sports romance and Helena Hunting is one of the best authors at those. Obviously, she did not fail with this whole series and neither with A Secret for a Secret. This crew of characters is just that amazing!

So, A Secret for a Secret is Helena’s third installment in her All In series and it focuses on the “forbidden” relationship between King and Queenie. These two are not in their best moment and they found understanding and a whole lot of chemistry in a drunken passionate one night stand. They did not imagine they would run into each other again. Well, things get complicated when this couple meets again in a meeting where King realizes Queenie is the daughter of the GM in the hockey team he is the goalie of. Things are about to get secretive, steamy and emotional!

She’s a tornado, and half the time I don’t know what to do with her, but I still want to get caught up in her vortex.

I loved this couple! Gah, they were so freaking cute together! Ryan Kingston is different from what you expect in the typical romance hero and I appreciated that. He is such a good man, tender, attentive, loving and SHY! And Queenie is just as strong and endearing. It was great to read how she finds herself all over again throughout the book. I just adored how this love relationship developed, how they peel the vulnerable layers off of each other, sharing their secrets and falling in love in the process. That turns into a beautiful relationship, with a bit of light drama, a mind-blowing chemistry and a whole lot of feels.

I feel like I’ve finally found my person. The one who won’t try to tame my chaos but will let me live in it and help me balance my impulsiveness with stability. He’s yin and I’m yang. He’s sugar and I’m salt.

Therefore, I am rating A Secret for a Secret with 4.5 STARS because it was a great addition to the All In series. Completely different from the other two books but still in the same style that we all love from Helena Hunting. I loved King and Queenie, I loved their relationship and I loved the moments with the rest of the crew. These characters are just amazing and freaking hilarious! I hope we get more books because I am definitely ready for more. Gah, I am so happy these two got together and they got their HEA. Highly recommend!

Helena Hunting's books just keep getting better and better. I have been looking forward to Ryan Kingston's book and it was worth the wait.

Ryan is a true good guy who has an uncharacteristic one time hook up. He is shocked to find out the woman is Queenie, the daughter of his hockey team's General Manager. She is his opposite in many ways, but their chemistry and attraction are undeniable. Their journey together was a lot of fun to read.

As I have come to expect from Helena's books there are a number of hilarious moments and memorable secondary characters. Many of those secondary characters are people you've met in her previous books, and I definitely recommend her other hockey romances if you haven't read them yet.

4 1/2 "Hockey Royalty" Stars...

I loved Queenie and King (aka Ryan Kingston). What a fabulous, albeit unlikely couple they are.

Ryan Kingston is often referred to in this book as the "Boy Scout" because he is a rule follower of the highest degree. He never speeds, follows all the rules when he's training and tries to keep his crazy family happy. Queenie is more of a free spirit who has insecurities galore. She feels like she isn't good enough for anything or anyone. She is confused by what to do with her future. She feels like she's constantly letting her father down with her poor life choices. Queenie and Kingston definitely are opposites in every way but their attraction can't be ignored, even if that's exactly what they should do.

A Secret for a Secret was a heartbreakingly sweet story with two unlikely people falling in love. Their story definitely isn't uneventful. There are those who try to interfere and they have a few bumps along the way. I'm pretty sure Ryan Kingston might just be one of my new fave book boyfriends. He's loyal, loving and dedicated to Queenie. He treats her with respect but can still show her how sexy and attractive he finds her as well. All of this plus he's a hockey goalie....hello, that's a winner folks.

Thank you to NetGalley, Montlake Romance and Ms. Hunting for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A Secret for A Secret is hands down my favorite of this series. I loved the story and the characters. Queenie and King weren’t your heroine and hero in romance books.
To say I love King is an understatement. He was so different. Sure, he had qualities of your typical romance novel hero, but he was caring and loving and his boy scout side?! How can you not love it. You’d expect a hockey goalie to be super alpha and cocky but he is the exact opposite. Queenie is the opposite of King and I loved her for it. I loved her chaos. The two of them really balanced each other out. Ying and Yang.
A Secret for A Secret had drama, romance, heat, and loads of laughs! I pretty much felt every single emotion while reading this one. I loved getting more of the previous couples in the book, plus Violet and Alex and their little hockey team.
If hockey romances that will have you feeling every single emotion are you jam this one is a MUST READ and is one of my TOP READS of 2020.

Ryan and Queenie each can't stop thinking about the one night they met, so when they see each other again after 6 weeks, they're both excited until they realize they can't be together because of who they are. They try to be just friends, still spending a considerable amount of time together. Finally they change their minds, and it is fun to see if they are able to manage a relationship with his crazy family, and both of them reporting to her dad.
There are lots of fun, sweet, and hot moments in this book, and a good amount of drama from people in both of their histories.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A Secret for a Secret is the third and last book of the All In series. I cannot believe this was the last book of the series. I am not ready to let go of this crazy bunch :( A Secret for a Secret was an amazing read and definitely my favorite book of the series.

Ryan Kingston, aka King, is a loyal, calm, sweet hockey player, who always obeys the rules. He never fights and most of the times he is the mediator :) However, after learning a life changing secret, he decides to go wild for the night. Our good boy scout decides to get drunk and lucky for him, he finds an amazing companion to become a bad boy for the night. Queenie is a sassy, sweet, free spirited, pure chaos. Thanks to her mom she has too many insecurities. After a bad day she decides to get a drink and unwind a bit and she ends up next to an amazing guy and spends the night with him. Having a one-night stand is not how King operates and when he wakes up in the morning and see Queenie has left, he is disappointed. What he doesn’t expect is seeing Queenie six weeks later during teams first official meeting. Ohh and she is Jack, the GM’s daughter. Ooops! So when they both realized that they will be working together, they decided, it is better for them to keep their relationship platonic. There is an itsy-bitsy problem with their plan though, with each minute they spend together, it gets harder and harder to fight the attraction and act platonic. I love how stand-up King is and he is always trying to do what is right. He is an amazing guy. He is always trying to support Queenie and give her confidence and strength to fight against her insecurities. Their differences make everything more interesting and harder to give up. Even though some of the things they go through feels like it will be the end of their relationship, King never gives up and always fights against the odds. It was amazing to see the couples from previous books of the series Lainey, RJ, Bishop and Stevie. Of course, there is Alex, Violet and their kids as well and when there is Violet, there is hilarious moments as always. To tell you the truth I am in love with Alex and Violet’s twins; River and Lavender. While reading this I wished we saw more of the Pucked gang’s kids. I think it would be super fun to see all hunky hockey players with their cutie kids :) Also, there is Hanna, the momster and Jack, the GM and I am super curious if they will have something sizzling in their future :)

A Secret for a Secret is sweet, funny, heartwarming and inspiring story. As always reading a Helena Hunting book was a delight. Her characters are always unique, captivating and mostly hilarious. Of course, there are some brooding, grumpy, hot alphas in the group as well :) I am heartbroken that this series came to an end and cannot wait for her next series, I wish we had more time with the super awesome kids…

Ryan, the swoon worthy, good guy hockey player hero, always does seem to know just what to say/make things right and follow the rules. You gotta love this boy scout, honorable leading man. It takes Queenie, who has an impulsive past history, to give him an outlet to let go/tap into his inner tiger and walk more on the wild side. Color me corny, I have to admit I found her name unusual but thought it sweet when he called her “My Queen”. Considering his last name was Kingston, they certainly seemed a perfect pair.

With both of them having some past and present family drama, it takes their passion for each other to give them the strength to weather the storm and put out the fires that spring up threatening to engulf them.

I can’t say enough how Ryan was quite the catch. My, oh, my...His demeanor reminded me of Captain America, folks. I did lower my rating somewhat because I felt near the conclusion the writing lost some focus, especially when his family fussing went on rather longer than necessary.

Title: A Secret for a Secret, Series: All in (Book 3), Author: Helena Hunting, Pages: 303, stand-alone but part of a series, boy scout good guy hero, not a man ho, past wild child streak/insecure at times heroine, LOTS of very graphic smex scenes with lusty language, ex’s cause drama, romance safe for me, no cheating, no love triangle.

Book 1 - A Lie For a Lie
Book 2 - A Favor For a Favor
Book 3 - A Secret For a Secret

Every visit to the Pucked universe is sure to be amazing but this one might be my favorite of all time. I read this book in one sitting that's how much I was loving all over it.

In Favor for a Favor, I thought King was the cutest, sweetest guy. I was swooning so hard reading his story. He's such a gentleman out in the world with his khakis and polos, milk drinking, and let me ask your dad for permission to date you. But behind closed doors, whoa the heat, while also checking for consent which is hot to the millionth power. Queenie is sassy and chaotic and nothing like King. I loved the storm she brought to his calm. She's impulsive and fun and completely perfect for Kingston.

I can't remember the last time a twist in a book took me by complete surprise but this one actually had me gasping, out loud. It happened right when I was thinking it was time to go to sleep and that I could finish in the morning but nope, I needed to know how everything would shake out. I also can't remember the last time I wanted to punch a fictional character in the face but one of King's new teammates definitely made me wish that would be possible. But that was balanced with the hilarious interactions between Rook and Bishop. They had me snort laughing and I'm still chuckling thinking about those scenes.

Every book in this series has been amazing. I didn't think I'd love Seattle as much as I loved Chicago but this is definitely my new favorite team.

This book was everything! It was indescribably good and I just devoured it! It’s definitely my favourite book of the series. Every book in this series keeps getting better and better. You will swoon over Kingston and Queenie, they’re just so cute and lovable. Ryan Kingston and Queenie meet in a bar one night when they’re both at a low point hoping to drink away their sorrows. They get talking and exchange a secret for a secret, have a couple of drinks and then have a one night stand. And Kingston has never had a one night stand before. He totally doesn’t operate that way, he dates. He’s polite and always appropriate, respectful and has the most wholesome image. It’s a night neither can forget about. Six weeks later on her first day at her new job being her fathers personal assistant, she’s introduced to a room of hockey players and Ryan’s in that room. Queenie Masterton is the daughter of the general manger of the Seattle NHL team that Ryan Kingston plays for. It’s hard to tell who is the most shocked between the two. Her dad’s warned her not to get involved with the players on his team and she’s already inadvertently gone against the one request he made. She’s the queen of impulsive and complicated. He’s just a sweet guy that has a very sexy side when it comes to her. He’s one of the best bad decisions she’s ever had the misfortune of making. These two are utter perfection. They totally need each other to live their best lives. They help balance each other out - she feels unsettled by her impulsive ways and he’s able to live a little having someone like her around him. This story also introduces Alex and Violet’s youngest kids, twins River and Lavender. And dear little Lavender almost upstages everyone!!!

I loved this book! King and Queenie couldn't have been more opposite. He was straight laced, rule follower, a bit anal and focused. She was impulsive, chaotic, deeply hurt by her mother and her first boyfriend. This book started out with a bang, literally, when they first meet. It definitely had some secrets, angst, humor, sweet and sexy. I love all of the characters Helena has written in her books. King is definitely at the top of my list of favorite men in her books. I highly recommend this book and book 1, A Lie For A Lie and book 2, A Favor For A Favor.
