A good mix of projects here, and a very nice style of hand lettering. I felt there could be a few more how to steps for complete beginners, but overall a nice project guide!

The book itself had wonderful projects that where fun to complete. I think the only downside was having to go out and buy new materials for things I couldn't do at home. Other then that, it was fantastic for me as a beginner calligrapher.

This book is great to find hand lettering inspiration if you already are fairly good at hand lettering. As a complete novice of hand lettering, I was hoping that there would be more of a tutorial explanatory section of how to form letters and how to layout the various fonts. The photos found throughout were engaging and I would definitely recommend this book to any customers or friends who are interested in hand lettering. It is a great mid point for those exploring the hand lettering craft.

This is the coolest DIY book I’ve seen in a while. It seems easy enough to do the projects. Some other books I like, but the projects are difficult and very time consuming.

The issue I had is that I got this book and then it was archived several days later. I can not access it to do the projects. I’m sure it was not intended, but thought I’d let you know.

I feel pinterest is a much better option for greater variety. I did like the idea of handlettering gift tags though

I liked the look of this book, but wouldn't recommend it to people just starting off with lettering projects. It doesn't follow a progression from easy to hard (in fact it notes that painting, the first project is hard). It's a book I would check out from the library for some cute ideas but wouldn't buy to keep.

My hand-writing has always been atrocious, so I wasn’t sure how much I would get out of Super Simple Hand-Lettering, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Super Simple Hand-Lettering was filled with amazing, and beautiful, projects that even the most creatively challenged person could take on without feeling overwhelmed. The projects were broken down into clear and understandable steps. The book was filled with tips and tricks for mastering hand-lettering and although I’m no master, I’m feeling a lot more confident in my hand-lettering skills after trying out some of the techniques in this book!

If you’ve had an interest in learning hand-lettering or if you love to craft, this book is for you.

This is a great book for anyone with a knack for creating and crafting hand-lettered items! I enjoy all aspects of hand-lettering and there are some great ideas in this book. With this book, all of the projects are laid out for you with a list of tools and materials and a step-by-step guide to the project. This book would make a great addition to someone's hand-lettering crafting collection or as a gift to hand-letterers looking to expand into using other materials. I would not recommend for someone starting out in their hand-lettering journey but I would highly recommend this book to hand-letterers who are confident in their abilities.

<b>TL;DR: This book had some novel projects, but it didn't feel accessible to my novice skill level.</b>

I came at this book as a crafter and DIYer who isn't experienced with hand-lettering. Given that the title said "super-simple", I was hoping that it would be accessible to me as a total novice. I was half-right, in that some of the projects were pretty straightforward. However, as a person whose handwriting isn't good, and who isn't good at drawing, just about any of these "super-simple" projects would take me AGES to execute, with the pencil sketching stage taking the vast majority of the time.

Some of them might be worth it, and some of them (like the jacket) felt novel enough that I might attempt them. However, others—like the all-over print gift wrap—would be a <i>complete disaster</i> if I attempted them (not to mention that they would take forever to get through).

As for the quality of the book's composition (as an ebook, anyway), it was attractive, relatively well laid-out, and generally easy to read, with instructions that had a reasonably detailed and logical flow in most cases.

<b>Who I think this book is for</b>
- If you're at least somewhat skilled at drawing but new to hand-lettering, this book might be a good technique resource.

<b>Who I don't think this book is for</b>
- If you're a total hand-lettering novice with mediocre handwriting (like me), you probably want a book with more detail on the lettering design side of things.
- If you're experienced with hand-lettering and looking for project ideas, I'd probably stick to Pinterest.

If you'd like to try you hand at lettering, here's a book of inspiration. With photographs and instructions for projects using wood, paper, cloth, glass, chalkboard, and more. . . there's something for everyone. The beginning of the book provides photos and descriptions of basic lettering strokes and styles (brush, faux calligraphy, and monoline), along with the type of instrument to use. Home decor, paper crafts (tags, envelopes, and invitations), they're all here. A couple of templates are featured in the back of the book.

A wonderful beginners guide to hand lettering. The instructions are fun and easy to follow. They are super simple, as the title states, so this isn't a book for the more advanced hand letterer.

This is a great starter hand lettering book, as the instructions are very detailed and pictures guide you along.
It is a great resource for someone looking to improve your hand lettering while getting some great gift and project ideas.

I enjoyed it and plan to make several of the projects myself.

I love hand-lettering, so was really excited when I saw this book (lame, I know, haha).

It had some great reminders, and some great gift ideas or ideas for selling items that you could craft up. I liked the instructions, and definitely found some new projects I am going to try.

I was shocked and amazed that this book had so many options to do the fantastically cool hand lettering for any occasion. I have seen variations of all these projects on social media and I always thought how I could do it and thanks to this book I finally know how. This is such a great idea for gifts for any occasion and once completed, I fell by this book you'll feel accomplished. I know I will definitely be getting this book not just for our library arts and crafts collection but my own personal collection for new DIY gift ideas.

Beautiful pictures, clear instructions, and doable projects for hand lettering beginners. I was most inspired by the cake toppers and will definitely try that at my next birthday celebration. This is a great book for new adults and beyond who are interested in personalizing their home. I was looking for a hand lettering book for 14-18 year olds, and unfortunately, the projects in this book are aimed for an older audience. In addition, I noticed that all the projects were in the same font. The author did not diversify their hand lettering fonts which was another requirement of mine. Overall, not right for my collection but enjoyable to look through.
