I love say Yes to the Dress Alanta and Lori and I did like this book. However I am not the age target for readers for this book. But for those in that age range you will love this book. Lori writes from the heart and experience

As a fan of Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta, I enjoyed the behind the scenes stories in Lori Allen's book. Just like the subtitle states, this book is about aging gracefully. Allen includes advice and life lessons that she has learned over the years, along with stories of her own trials and triumphs. As a young woman in my late twenties, I was unable to relate to much of the book. However, I would recommend it for mothers, aunts, or grandmothers, especially if they are fans of the show.

Say Yes to What’s Next
by Lori Allen
September 16, 2020

I have not yet tuned in to watch Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta. After reading this book by Lori Allen, the energetic bridal expert and salon owner, I plan to do so soon.

In my opinion, the book focused more on Lori’s experiences and less on how to navigate the tough issues women face as we age.

I was hoping for suggestions about reinvention and fulfillment in the next phase of my life and, although entertaining and overflowing with Lori’s effervescent personality, this was not the book.

The content trended toward her life and less about ways to develop a passion, purpose, or potential.

A fun peak into Lori's life along with sage advice for how to gracefully age. Even if you don't agree with all that she shares, I'm sure you can find something helpful. Thank you to NetGalley and to Thomas Nelson-W Publishing for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Lori Allen is an absolute doll. As a young woman, I wasn’t sure if I would connect with the book as it refers to “aging” which is normally the target demographic of a middle-aged lady. However, these were life lessons. With her sweet sense of humor and ladylike manners, Lori gives us insight and stories behind the advice she gives. It was wonderful to feel so connected to someone you see on TV and admire. She’s just a down home, good old Southern belle with loads of hilarious anecdotes and thoughtful advice.
