Absolutely addictive, like all her books. I cannot count the number of nights I've sworn "Just one more chapter", only to realize it's now 4 am and I have to be up by 7. Romance, mystery, suspense, action, fantasy.... What more could you ask from a book?
At this point our group has formed a council made of representatives from all supernatural factions, with Tessa as their center (being part witch, part wolf-shifter). They have an angel (kind of) on their side, and now they’re fighting nightly against evil supernaturals still coming in from previous portals supposedly closed.
Just when Tessa is about to drop from fatigue, she gets a call from her brother, and he’s on his last breath, having been kidnapped and tortured by… someone!
In her race to save him, Tessa realizes some major sacrifice will have to be made, and she knows exactly who will need to be the one to make it.
SPOILER ALERT!! Don’t read further on if you’ve not read the book yet.
During the (almost) 2 years they’re apart, Dastien is slowly slipping and is constantly on the verge of losing control of his wolf. He’s desperate and after doing his best to occupy his time while the group is searching for any clue as to where Tessa is, they get their break.
This book is mostly Dastien’s. Tessa’s part in it is pretty confined to the beginning and the end of the story, but she’s woven throughout the entire story. We get some of her through the parties in the group, through her friends, her loved ones, and it’s beautifully done.
I loved Dastien’s journey through figuring out how to live without Tessa, and how optimism is kept the entire time, even if not by Dastien himself.
I won’t say more, because it’s really difficult to say more without spoiling more. But I encourage you to read the entire series in order, as this is far from being a standalone.
I lost sleep reading this book and it was totally worth the sacrifice because I freaking loved Alpha Erased! It's tied for first place as my favorite in the Alpha Girl series. The author chose to do a duel POV switching between the hero and heroine and it made the story even richer. I cried tears of sadness and happiness. If you haven't read this series do it now! You won't be disappointed!!!
Where do I even begin to write this review? This book was such a journey! We finally got Dastien’s POV, but I’ve known his character so long it’s like I’d already been in his head before. I did enjoy seeing so much more of him, though. There’s a whole new side of Dastien introduced in this book that broke me, but it was also addicting to read. Only Alieen Erin’s books can keep me as hooked as they do. I don’t get excited over other books as much as I do with this series. Sometimes I do get mad at myself for reading these books so fast, but I can’t help it!
One thing I especially enjoyed in this book was seeing Chris and Cosette. They were so good with Dastien, and they could be really funny at times. I’m just saying - that Target trip and the party were some of the best scenes. I wish so badly that I could see that painting Chris did - or even own it.
I also enjoyed seeing more of Samantha, and I really cannot wait for her series!!! I especially want to know what’s going on with her and Eli😏😏😒 I am sad that Alpha Girls is being put on hold, but as long as all my favorite couples make guest appearances, I’ll be fine.
My favorite part, though, is just Tessa and Dastien. They are my OTP😂 I can’t really say anything without spoiling, but I love them as a couple.
I hope this review was helpful and that you read this series!
