Wonderful and very informative title about an industry I knew nothing about. I wasn't expecting such a spiritual aspect to it, but loved it and have continued learning about burlesque!

I had been having a bad few days: washer quit, faucet leaking, I decided to read for a while and try to regain my sanity. All I can say is " This book hooked me from the very beginning. LOVED IT.

The author's book about how she was able to find acceptance for herself after beginning burlesque dancing made me examine why I let others' opinions of me dictate the decisions that I make. This was well written and will definitely make you question why you care what others think of you. The journey to loving herself was well-written and honest.

This is a great read. I feel like it should be on every Women’s Studies syllabus. I’m recommending it to everyone I know particularly my dancer friends. Thanks for allowing me to read this early!
