A short, quick, steamy read about lovers finding themselves again. Great writing style which i enjoyed and easily read in one sitting. Not sure why I left it on my TBR pile for so longer, but glad I got around to it.
This was a quick read. Two old lovers unexpectedly meet at a store in Vermont. Neither one has forgotten the other. Sparks fly!
Thank you for the ARC. This is my honest review.
Skylar Rogers car has broken down in a small town in Vermont. This has thrown off her trip since she will have to wait four or five days for parts, repairs since it is just a small town. Having found a place to stay she decides to stroll around the shops. While in a second-hand antique store she is surprised by an old flame.
Cameron Amory is a world-famous author he lives in Willow Springs. While looking at the book display in the same story the Skylar is in, he is taken by surprise by a voice that he has not heard in fourteen years. Fourteen years ago, he made a huge mistake by walking away from a woman he loved and has regretted it ever since. Now seeing her in front of him he figures fate has brought them back together.
Skylar is shocked to see Cameron the man who broke her heart and after fourteen years she thought she would never see. Not once did he wright her, or try to get a hold of her after he walked away from her saying he needed to hike around Europe. Now she is face to face with him and she still has the same feels for him as she did fourteen years ago.
He begins to work on getting her to see that they are still good together and not only in the bedroom but all the time. She is looking for something from him though will she hear it though? A very good book with some hot scenes and also a good story to go along with it.
I loved 'Rekindling an Old Flame' it was a perfect short read and I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys second chance romances.
This is quite a short little romance, actually, it's a very short romance, only being four chapters long. Still, it is a nice little read and as there isn't a great deal for the couple to work out, it didn't really matter that it was so quick. I gather that this is a prequel to a series, so that is perhaps the reason for its brevity.
Cameron and Skylar were together at University, but when Cameron graduated two years before Skylar and went to research his novel, the two lost touch. They have both regretted that nothing further came of their relationship and now suddenly thrown into each other's path again they can't resist the pull between them.
Cameron is quick to want to restart the relationship, but as it was him that left before, Skylar is reluctant to risk having her heartbroken again.
This is quite a cute and satisfying romance, although as I mentioned, very much on the short side.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Steamy second chance romance. Skylar’s car breaks down in Willow Springs and she runs into Cameron. The old sparks are still there but there is still baggage from their past. Will they find a way to be together again? Fast-paced read with great characters and a steamy story. I liked it.

Skylar car breaks down in a little town, and she runs into her college boyfriend who left her. They fall back into bed and a relationship, but will it work when she works in the big city. A very quick read with minimum angst from both of them. It just was a little meh for me.
I love second chance romances and this was a good one. They had not seen each other in 14 years. He had to do a lot of convincing and I liked that.
Short and sexy, Rekindling an Old Flame is a second chance romance. It shows college sweethearts surprised to stumble upon one another in a quite small town and unable to work away. I enjoyed it!
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
