Tapped out at 35% because I couldn't take anymore of the selfish characters and juvenile writing. Couldn't connect with the characters, and they couldn't connect with each other. Even the elderly people act like children, never mind throwing a multitude of contrived situations into the mix for no reason. Nothing served to move the plot forward and the author does little to no research. I swear it was like I was reading a Grade 9 creative writing assignment and the student wrote an empty and emotionless version of a sweeping romance. I honestly don't care if these two character get back together. I don't care about any of these characters, no matter how much the author tells me they are sad and suffering. Without SHOWING me what these people are feeling I just give up.
