Daniel and Winnie's meet-not so cute was brief,succinct and exhilarating to read, setting the stage for Winnie's witticism and Daniel's arrogant confidence.Winnie, an ambitious midwife with goals to accomplish and distractions to avoid after a recent breakup, moved to a small town with hopes of getting out from under her prominent, controlling mother's shadow.She is anxious to establish herself as a success, independent of her mother, as evidenced by the push-pull conversations and interactions they have.Now Daniel has entered her life and the easy, convenient access he has to her sets the stage for him to try to win her affection.The snappy repartee and the tender, empathetic moments make for an engrossing,engaging read.Together they experience the highs and lows of a new relationship, navigate pitfalls and misunderstandings with a hope to end up with a happy ever after.This book also took a light-hearted but compassionate approach to a fairly common but misunderstood condition,showing that its impact on all aspects of your life does not have to be restrictive and self-limiting.I enjoyed this novel and definitely would like to read about Daniel's siblings as well as the roommate Ainsley.

Unfortunately I didn’t finish this on. It felt insta-lovey which I’m not a fan of and the characters seemed pretty flat to me :(

Welcome to Timber Falls in the first of a 6 book series. We start off with not 1, but 2 [seemingly] hot doctors, while the women are in stereotypical “female” rolls (nurse, beautician, teacher, librarian) and the one female doctor is portrayed as a cold, tough character.

This has all makings of a small town romance. We learn how entangled this cast of characters is early on and you can’t help but be excited for the drama to play out. Unfortunately there isn’t much drama in the end. A number of characters are introduced briefly and then dismissed, and I only hope that was done because they’ll show up again in later books in the series.

By 1/3 if the way through I hit that sweet spot in a romance where you’re reading at a breakneck speed because you know what you want to happen and race through pages to see if it does. It does, and that’s usually such a satisfying moment but this one fizzled a bit.

Despite that, I look forward to the next installment (due out later this summer!) because I’m interested to see where it goes when focused on different main characters.

Final gripe: The storyline focuses a moderate amount on the age gap between characters, Winnie feeling like she’s too old for Daniel. I had an issue with this because I find Winnie pretty immature for someone in her 30s. She was still living at home, craved her mother’s approval regarding her education, and couldn’t even bring herself to say “orgasm” as a nurse/midwife in a professional setting, which just made me roll my eyes.

Final love: Rhododendrons. I love when such a good word makes it into a book!

I could not get into this book. I'm not a fan of insta love and that's what this book centers around. Also, the writing style just didn't work for me. I felt like this book focused way to much on the surrounding characters instead of the two main characters.

I really liked the idea of this story and there was a lot of potential, I just don't think it was executed as well as I would have liked. I would have loved more development in the romance between Daniel and Winnie. Everything happened with them so fast, that it was so hard to keep up with what was going on. I was just left wanting more.

This is the first book in Fiona West’s new Timber Falls series. If you like small town shenanigans and wholesome characters this is for you! Could Be Something Good made me feel all warm and fuzzy - like an episode of Gilmore Girls but with less shouting.
Winnifred and Daniel were great main characters. There was definitely a case of insta love from Daniel when it comes to Winnie but I still enjoyed the story because he has to work to win her over. Daniel was charming and patient. He knew when to be serious but also knew how to have fun and encouraged Winnie to do the same.
Winnie is older than Daniel and this book isn’t afraid to point out the double standard between men and women when it comes to this issue. I liked that, although it was a concern for Winnie, the age difference wasn’t blown out of proportion and most of their loved ones accepted it.
The tension in this book comes from Winnie’s relationship with her mother. It is just as important as the romantic storyline and although parts of it were a little far fetched most of their struggles were relatable and made me like Winnie even more.
It was easy to fall in love with Timber Falls and it’s many kooky residents and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This was a cute book! Definitely not the best novel, but a perfect beach read. The characters were well developed, and I liked the dynamic between Winnie and Daniel, and I always like a romance novel where both leads are pining for each other and it’s just a matter of when not if they got together.

I did not like how Winnie acted more like 40 than 30. There was a lot of emphasis on her ‘older’ age. I’m in my mid thirties and don’t feel old at all.

Overall it was cute and I would recommend it as a quick, light read.

Could be good is a cute little romance story about Daniel and Winnie. Chalked full of minor drama to push the plot along. You will definitely get Grey’s Anatomy vibes from this doctor/nurse love story.

This was a really fun story and I will probably be continuing on with the story because it was a nice change of pace from the fantasy and sci-fi I’ve been reading. I didn’t want to put the book down and had a fun time with it. I knocked off a few stars because the characters weren’t all fully flushed out in the book and the intro to this book made me want to know about a romance that will be continuing in a later book more than this romance initially. Also I wish we had gotten atleast some of the good. I don’t need full smut but it was lacking in the streamy department for me.

Overall a good read though.

Definitely more of a fast, feel-good romance novel. The aspect I enjoyed most were the family relationships in this (as usual I'm a sucker for that). And it's HOSPITAL ROMANCE so that's also a bonus for me.

Now I'm intrigued about Kyle, so I may be anticipating his book. Almost a decade-old of silent pining? Sign me up!

A huge thank you to netgally for this ebook! I was so excited about it the synopsis sounded so cute. But sadly this book wasn’t for me. Daniel, who’s head over hills at first glance, is a lot. Winnie is supposed to be slightly older than him but acts like she’s 20 years older. Also, there’s a lot of names and they switch back and forth from calling them Dr. (last name) and the characters first name I was getting confused. The premise sounded good but it just wasn’t for me.

Wow! What a lovely surprise. I can't believe how good this book was, i think i'm rating it 4.5 stars but only because this one is very light on the steamy side and i would have loved for it to have at least one sex scene.
Could be something good is an amazing rom-com between a doctor and a midwife who work in the same hospital. I adored these two characters and especially Daniel who is such a sweetheart, this really tender man who looks like Thor (I mean look at that cover!). The relationship is very cute, healthy and swoony, i greatly enjoyed seeing them fall in love with each other, as i said this book doesn't have any smut in it but the chemistry is definitely present (there is still some pretty good make out scenes just so you know).
There was no unnecessary drama just a really mature relationship with realistic struggles, this romance was so lovely and refreshing i really recommend it to anyone who likes romance.

A super cute and fun love story! A definite romcom that leaves the heart feeling warm and fuzzy. I enjoyed the banter between Daniel and Winnie. The story progressed in a nice arc and both characters journey throughout was enjoyable to read. I liked being able to see from both Winnie’s POV and Daniel’s POV, especially when it came to their thoughts and insights on each other and their progressing relationship. The struggles they had to deal with and the resolution to said problems was a nice touch and I overall enjoyed the book! I found myself invested in their story and can’t wait to see more of the other characters in the series! Winnie was a smart and brave women while Daniel was a funny and truly sweet guy. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a sweet and enjoyable read!

I enjoyed this book. While I didn’t love the writing style, I did enjoy the story itself. I think it would have been more effective to have had duel viewpoints because at times it was confusing on who we were following. However that being said, I like the characters a lot and I enjoyed their relationship building. I do wish there had been more insight into it, it felt like they went from a kiss straight to love without much evidence as to how it happened. Overall I did enjoy the book and look forward to the next one as well!

The hero of this story, Dr. Daniel Durand, was quite charming and lovable. And top of all his hunky sweetness, he’s a guy who has dyslexia, but somehow got himself through medical school and is now working in his residency when he’s struck with a love thunderbolt when he sees the lovely and plucky Winnie Baker, a nurse-midwife.

Winnie is not interested in being romanced by a younger guy with a reputation as a player. Can Daniel win her over along with her cold mother who is also his leader at the hospital? Of course he can, because he’s just wonderful as are all the members of his family. They’re all charming and I’m looking forward to reading more in this series.

This book was a brilliant read! I absolutely loved getting to know the two characters and watching their relationship develop. However, I do feel the whole bets thing and getting the whole town involved was a little ridiculous-- this could be a small town thing I don't understand!

This was really cute if you like small-town romance (think Heart of Dixie since both protagonists work in a hospital) with great family dynamics. The romance was a bit insta-lovey from the male protagonist's side but all in all, it was a good start of a series and I would be interested in reading future books. Also, as someone with a dyslexic and dysgraphic sibling, I really appreciated the dyslexia representation and it not magically disappearing once the character left school which is often the case.

This is such a perfect light read. I didn't want it to end.
The characters are great, and the chemistry unmatched. Winnie is an experienced midwife and Daniel the younger new doctor at the practice. While they loved each other instantly at least one was in denial.

I loved the chemistry between the pair. I am totally smitten by a handsome, educated male. I mean ooh la la. Could he be more perfect? Really? Their lives were relatable. I loved the small-town feel. There was so much to love.

The good news is all of the first three books are going to be available soon so the wait is not long. The bad news is, there is a wait. I am excited to read the rest of the series to hear the remaining stories.

I loved this book!.

This is the perfect book to fill in those spaces after a heavy read or a book slump. It was fast paced, fun, and had great characters. The main characters had a little role reversal as Winnie is older than Daniel. Usually it’s the other way around so that was a great addition to the story.

There was an instant love connection between Winnie and Daniel but only one of them was willing to let it show. I love how Daniel kept fighting for Winnie and refused to give up. He is lovable, affectionate, and sweet. I love that the author portrayed these characters as well educated and self sufficient. They both had real life problems that can easily be relatable. You don’t get that often and it was a nice change.

Winnie and Daniel were interesting to follow along with, and it’s refreshing that Winnie was older than Daniel. If you need a read to just cruise through and thoroughly enjoy, this is a great pick.
