Molly English has a stalker and needs somewhere to hide. She leaves college in her truck with her guitar and ends up in Sutter’s Hollow. Cord Coulter never planned on returning home, but his grandmother has passed and he needs to settle her estate. The ranch is in disrepair and in debt when Molly shows up looking for work. Cord needs help, but he has no intention of letting Molly stay, until he does. Can he let her stay while he works on the ranch? Molly is attracted to Cord, but can’t allow possible danger to harm him. When things come to a head, will Cord realize that he needs to let Molly in to his life, for her and for him? A sweet western romance with a hint of danger. I really look forward to the next books and characters in this series. Molly is on the run as her life is in his danger, while on the run she lands in Sutter's Hollow, just when she thinks she's in luck when she finds a help needed at a ranch, things don't completely work as she initially thought they would, because Cord didn't post the ad and wanted her gone as fast as possible. With her truck being dead she has nowhere to go. But there's a silver lining to everything, so don't give up.

Cord also has been through a difficult childhood and an event that changed his life and the others in his life. He finds it very difficult to forgive himself but with Molly, he starts to feel the joy of life again. He soon realises that he doesn't want to run away from the town, he, in fact, likes the small town things, which I personally liked because I was missing the whole small-town vibe as he wasn't ready to be hanging out in the town.

Since this book didn't cover Cord's friends' feelings and what they're up to after that tragic night, I need to read the next book! The romance was good too, albeit a bit insta, it had its charm. It was a nice read. I liked the author's writing too!

I loved the story line but it felt really rushed and in my opinion Molly wasn’t really believable it just felt like i reading a unfinished book

What a wonderful book!! It is full of emotions and will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I can't say enough about this book without a spoiler slipping out. If you like clean, well written romance with drama and suspense you will love this book. I received an ARC copy from Lacy Williams Books LLC via NetGalley and was not required to write a review. Cord has reluctantly returned to his grandmother's ranch to find it falling down in disrepair. Molly is running from a traumatic past. She has run out of gas with nowhere to go. Cord the grumpy rancher doesn't want anything to do with the chipper girl but he cant leave her out in an ice storm. Molly finds comfort and strength from the No Name Ranch. Cord learns he does have a place in the small hometown that he thought he would never return to. I was caught up in the story from the first chapter. I liked the characters and I loved the ranch and small town.

Why was he run out of town?

Who did she escape from?

Geez, man. What'd Iris ever do to you?

Someone should have called the cops on his grandma.

Oh crap. Poor Noah.

Thanks for nothing, Deputy Lazy.

Now this guy wants to be Father of the Year. Good to know she had to almost die first.

His Small-Town Girl is a delightfully intriguing novel that turns despair into a HEA destiny! Both the hero and heroine are running from painful pasts. Both are in danger; one physically, the other emotionally. As the hero reluctantly harbors the heroine, together they work to save his ramshackle family farm. She’s small and feisty, handy with mechanics, too. She helps free him from the haunting verbal abuse of his childhood. He’s tough and determined to prove his worth, despite the hateful refrains that plague him. His abilities to help save the heroine from danger pull the draining images and taunts from his past behind, freeing him to be the strong. capable, loving man deserving of the heroine’s trust and love. A must read!

This book is exactly what I expected it to be. A sweet read with characters who had difficult pasts that overcome it together.

HIS SMALL TOWN GIRL is a wonderful story of healing and love. Molly is running from a dangerous ex and Noah has reluctantly returned to his hometown after leaving following a horrible accident. These two have a lot of emotional baggage to sort through and their love story is a sweet tale of second chances.

This book was heavy on story and pretty light on romance. I wish the author had given us a more drawn out happy ending after such a heavy story. It felt like 95% of this book was trauma and sadness. It could have used some more moments of levity to balance out the story. It could have been a 5 star book if that balance had been struck.

His Small-Town Girl was a page turner. This sweet, clean romance is book one in the Sutter’s Hollow series. When Molly and Cord cross paths, they are both very broken and damaged people. I flew through this book, because I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next. I really liked the characters, and look forward to the next book in the series. I also enjoyed the fact that the conflict was realistic.
From the moment Molly shows up on the ranch he’s just inherited, Cord has a soft spot for her. Molly is determined to find out what Cord’s past holds, and he is determined to protect her from whatever it is that is haunting her. When she reveals she’s being stalked, Cord provides safety and security. They must both face their pasts if they want a future.

Cord and Molly are trying to escape, but in Sutters Hollow, they learn the hard way that no matter how far you run, you cannot outrun the past. Secrets from their past relationships are revealed and they soon realize that they cannot hide from the monsters under the bed. Can they overcome their obstacles together? Can they overcome the hurt, abuse, pain and rejection and learn that it's okay to ask for help?

While I enjoyed their story there were some areas that felt a bit incomplete to me as I wanted clarity on Mackie and her hatred right down until death, the mysterious signature for the loan that was never resolved, do not get me started on her father who I want to just bash in the head, the accident story of from when Cord and they were kids felt a bit flimsy to me and can somebody please tell me where Cord got money from to buy a ring when he could not afford a water heater?

This has be one of my favorite Lacy Williams book!! Her novels are always good, but this one was great! I really liked the characters and felt an instant connection with Molly. I really like that even though Cord grew in this book. He made some really big steps in opening up and beginning to live again. I liked that he and Molly really complimented each other.

AHH this book was great! I so enjoyed getting to know Cord (man, that name grew on me quickly) and Molly in this first book in the Sutter's Hollow series.

Williams did a great job at creating a sense of mystery and intrigue (what was the deal with Cord's grandma? What's got Molly spooked? How's it going to all pan out?). Details came out layer by layer, just how I like it (no matter how many times I say I just want to know everything right now). :) And ooh boy, The Moment. (Is that kind of like "the look" people reference? :D) That was epic. Every girl needs a Cord (and a Moment) in her life.

I legit can't wait for books 2 and 3 to come out. In the meantime, I have some more Lacy Williams books to read!
