The couple we have been waiting for. The final book is a perfect wrap up to the series. It does not have as many 2d2l (to dumb to live) moments of the others. (Maybe because she.had all those In the previous books)
This one was much more enjoyable the 2-4 but not as good as 1

I absolutely love this series! The Siren and the Deep Blue Sea may just be my favorite of them all though. It could be because I've always loved Brody and have been so anxious for him to get his happily ever after. It could also be because of all the cool twists and action in this one. Whatever it is I couldn't read fast enough. Although I'm sad the series has come to an end, I am so happy with the way everything turned out and consider this to be one of my favorite series of all time.

This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you

Many thanks to Netgalley and the Publisher for a e-arc copy of the book. I have enjoyed this series from start to finish. This was a wonderful conclusion to a wonderful series. Maeve and Brody were always favourite side characters in the other book. I am sad this series is now complete. If the author writes anymore fantasy romance, I will definitely read them.

What can I say about Kerrelyn Sparks and another one of her books? I absolutely love the last installment of this series. The Siren and the Deep Blue Sea did not disappoint me at all. Finally finding out about Brody and his story was great. I love the way Kerrelyn ties all the characters together. She is a wonderful author. I look forward to more of her books.

I've been looking forward to reading more about Maeve and particularly Brody since I started reading this series. While this is the fifth book in a series, it can be read as a standalone, anything you might need to know from previous books is mentioned sufficiently in this one. I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop through the course of the book.

The story wasn't horrendous and some things I smiled at, but I can't see myself ever recommending it or just not being annoyed with it. 1.5 stars (2 for rating purposes) from me.

Selkie, witches, curses, magic... this story has it all. This is the fifth book in the Embraced series. It can be read as a standalone. Reading the other books will give more depth and understanding of this magical world. Ms. Sparks does provide enough details from the previous book to help fill in the blanks.

This story is focused all on Maeve. Maeve is yet another child left on the Isle of Moon. She is raised in the nunnery and with all her sisters finding mates with power off the island, Maeve is eager for a bit of adventure. Or at least try to start up a relationship on her crush, Brody, the shape-shifting spy. Brody is the ultimate spy for the four kingdoms as he can sneak in and out of places as different animals. And he can also shapeshift into a human. This is not a born ability, but a terrible curse from an evil sorceress who took so much from him and his family.

This book is delightful as it brings everything together and answers the questions raised the past few books. Who are the Circle of Five and what is their motive? Sometimes, unraveling the past can negatively impact the future. Because sometimes the sins of a father or mother may fall on the child. This type of plot device is usually a bit tired and wearisome. Ms. Sparks keeps it fresh with good character development and a journey of growth. Maeve matures from an impulsive headstrong youth into a more thoughtful and determined adult. Whilst the conclusions and motives are easy to anticipate, the storytelling weaves a magical tale of betrayal, lost love, curses and redemption.

When Maeve feels most isolated and guilty, seeing her adoptive family rise to the occasion to defend her brings a certain amount of warm fuzzies. Seeing the different sisters and their mates make cameo appearances brings another element of sweet nostalgia. This paranormal romance is recommended to readers who love water shifters and star cross lovers.

A fantastic book. In a distant place, where there are beings with extraordinary powers, is Maeve, a girl with dreams and goals. Maeve grew up on Moon Island. She is used to magic. However, one day she discovers that she can change shapes at will. Now that Maeve knows her new ability, she wants to turn to Brody, an enigmatic and infuriating shifter-spy young man. It's been two months since Maeve last saw Brody. She needs to find him because she thinks he's in danger. I loved this story. For me, it is the perfect combination of fantasy and adventure. Maeve's character is undoubtedly my favorite. I love her bravery and determination to find the mysterious Brody. Since I started the story, I felt trapped by her beautiful words and couldn't stop until I read the last page. I thank NetGalley and Kensington Books for providing me with a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review

I enjoyed this book quite a bit. I have enjoyed this series from the very beginning and I was really excited to finally read Brody's story. This is the final book in the series and I would recommend reading the series in order if at all possible. It was really easy to slip back into this world and fun to check in with some much-loved characters. I am so glad that I was finally able to work this book into my schedule.

Each book in this series focuses on a different couple and Maeve and Brody take the stage in this installment. Maeve is the youngest of her adopted sisters and she is feeling a bit left out since her sisters are all married and queens of their own realm. Maeve is a selkie and feels a special connection to Brody, who has the ability to change into any animal but can only hold his true form for 2 hours per day. Since she hasn't seen Brody for a while, she sets off to find him and ends up having quite the adventure.

I really liked Maeve and Brody as a couple. They have a lot of challenges to overcome in order to be together but they are both determined to make it work. It was obvious that they really did care for each other and I thought that the chemistry between them was very well done. I liked that they were both facing their own personal challenges. Maeve learns a lot about where she came from and there are a lot of revelations revealed about Brody's past.

I thought that the climax of the story was very well done. It was nice to see how everything finally worked out for all of the characters in the series. There were quite a few surprises along the way and I had a lot of fun seeing all of the key players work together to fight for what they believed in. There were plenty of exciting scenes to keep things interesting throughout the story. I really appreciated the fact that we got to see a secondary romance in this book as well.

I would recommend this series to others. I had a lot of fun with this paranormal romance filled with great characters and plenty of excitement. I will definitely be read more of this talented author's work in the future.

I received a digital review copy of this book from Kensington Books via NetGalley.

I was extremely excited to pick this up because I really enjoyed How to Love you Elf. I liked how the story started but once I hit around 12 percent I started to lose interest in the story. I'm not sure how or why, but I sort of disconnected and didn't really enjoy it.

This book was whimsical and interesting, I like that sirens are becoming more 'mainstream' for stories. Overall, a fun read.

In Kerrelyn Sparks's the Siren and the Deep Blue Sea, the 2nd installment and the 5th book in the Embraced paranormal romance series, this magical tale would sweep you off your feet and carry you away with the tides. Maeve had lived in a convent and adopted by four sisters who grew up to be princesses and queens except for her. All her life , she loved Brody since they were teenagers. During her search for him, she needs to locate the Embraced Army on the Isle of Secrets. Brody's not an ordinary human. Due to a curse, he shifts into a dog for most of his life and other animals of humans. After Queen Cahira blew up his father's ship and killed his brother, he was washed ashore and rescued by the Seer, Burien, and grew up on his land. Before the Seer died, he wanted Brody to take over for him to destroy Cahira and the Circle of Five. And he lived up to his promise to spy on the queen. But that's when he ran into Maeve and that complicated things for each other's journey. On the isle, Maeve learns a surprising secrets about her parents and her powers.Though they secretly loved each other for years, they had to defied the odds to fight good vs evil to get that happy ending they so much deserved.

I mean... who could say no to a title and cover like that?
AND IT DIDN'T DISAPPOINT!
It was magical from page 1 and I couldn't stop reading it!

Kept me captive from cover to cover. I dove into this novel, not having read the preceding books in the series. Though a little lost on some of the story line, the plot was well enough developed and descriptive that I didn't feel as if I had fallen into a black hole. I love that the underdogs get their day to shine, characters that have been nudged aside in the past are allowed to come back and conquer the battle between good and evil. And we truly learn that what the eye sees is not necessarily the truth beneath.

I fully recommend this novel, and now am going back to read the previous 4!

I've been enjoying Kerrelyn's fantasy romance series since its beginning and this one is another hit for me. I like to see the connected characters move on to their own stories within her world. I love the "Ladyhawke-in-reverse' twist here with the hero...And I like the overarching story about the queens being raised together...

Great new addition to the series!
