Asking for Trouble is a sweet, fun romance that draws you in immediately. Della is such a strong character, she escaped an abusive relationship and has been healing with the help of her brother. She is growing as a person, learning to speak her mind and take charge of her life. Tucker is Della's brothers best friend and has been assigned to watch over Della in the dating world. Too bad he has feelings for her Della and she is firmly of the don not touch list from her brother. So when Della offers Tucker and no strings attached relationship to teach her about sex, what is he to do. Della and Tucker have amazing chemistry and are perfect for each other. I love this series, town and all of the characters.
The story line is good and is predictable and you really don't mind it being that way, however,. for me, there was TMI in the progression/expression of the relationship. A lot more explicit than some of her other books and I guess I just wasn't in the mood to read about being all hot and bothered all the time. If you like that sort of thing, then you will love this book. Just not my cup of tea. I was looking for more of a story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and under no obligation to provide a review. The opinions expressed are my own.
Della Munroe had married at a young age to get away from her demanding domineering father. She ended up in an abused marriage. You find out the whole story about two-thirds of the way through the book. She was actually saved by her brother after he found out he had a sister he never knew he had. Because of all the trauma, she has lived with her overprotective brother for the past three years. It is a small town so everyone if very protective of her, especially her brother’s best friend Tucker. Her brother was a police officer so no one in the town would date her out of fear. There were a lot of funny parts as well as her showing her naivety about how sex and loving acts should be. She has been seeing a psychologist every two weeks. I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Another brilliant book from the talented Amy Andrews, she certainly knows how to pull you in and deliver a book that grips you from the first chapter. There’s great chemistry, fantastic characters and not to mention humour and laugh out loud moments too. “Asking for Trouble” is absolutely mesmerizing. This slow-burn story is packed with emotion and sexual tension that will make you fall head-over-heels. I devoured the book in hours, I couldn’t put it down, nothing got down that day at all, so why don’t you download it now and find out for yourselves. I absolutely can’t wait for the next book from this spectacular and talented author. Happy reading everyone!!
The song You Can Leave Your Hat On kept looping though my brain while reading yet another fantastic story from one of my favorite fictional places Credence, Colorado. Where the men outnumber the women and it's small town yum at it's finest! Pull up a barstool and sit next to me at Jack's so we can watch Della and Tucker as their story unfolds.
Della is the younger half sister to Arlo, the town's police chief and best friend to Tucker. Della has been living with Arlo for three years after he rescued her from an abusive marriage. Saying Arlo is overprotective of Della would be an understatement and is definitely a tad grumpy. Tucker owns Lumberjack's aka Jack's where he's been keeping Della company as she's been perched on a barstool slurping Pina Colada's for the last three years. She's got her eye on Tucker, but Tucker's totally friend zoned her because bro-code and all that. But he's got it bad for Della, seriously bad. Della's been through three years of therapy and feels like she's ready to get back into the dating game for signs up on a dating app. Tucker is the only one who knows and to insure Della's well being and his own reasons he becomes her wingman. Della has a job at the old folks home in town which is full of colorful characters that were hilarious. She gets some dating advice from a few of the residents.
Della also enlists Tucker to teach her to drive. She wants independence as well. Della's past isn't pretty and Amy handles that with grace and honesty. When Tucker has to drive Della to her therapist appointment in Denver they pass a large sex shop along the highway and Della asks Tucker about it, Tucker's response is comical. In fact Tucker in his totally awkward, trying to hold back, fighting his feelings way is a standout character along with his sidekick Della. I loved Della- sassy, a tad naive because of her past, but her spunky spirit and innocent but lusty character just charmed me.
Another member of the trio Jack's along with Arlo would be Drew who picks up on Tucker and Della's vibes and busts his chops over that. When Tucker fesses up, Drew's sworn to secrecy. Arlo isn't happy Della's learning to drive, so when she announces she's getting her own place, he just about threw a hissy. Della gets a car and the road trip includes a day out with her friends, the car full of women head out to the sex shop because that's what women do! Along for the ride is Winona, the town's erotic novel writer, whose many talents extend to somehow getting under Arlo's skin. Just what is going on with those two?? I need to know!
My kindle shot steam as things slowly heated up between Tucker and Della! Flying under the radar and hiding their relationship from Arlo wasn't easy. Della didn't seem to mind much but Tucker about beat himself to death with the whole guilt thing. Things were moving along though until one day Tucker lost every bit of good sense he had, made me want to smack him. His day of reckoning awaits!
The story felt like going home, returning to Credence is an easy trip, the characters are stellar, a little wacky and a lot nosy! I loved watching Della come into her own, she was so well written and Tucker... gotta a love a cowboy who can make a Pina Colada. The supporting characters are the best and I can't wait to see if we get Arlo and Winona's story next!
Another stellar read from Amy. Cue the music!

I love the author and enjoy this series. Asking for you was a cute fun read about falling for my best friends sister.
Della had a traumatic past and felt safe getting back into the swing of dating and sex with Tucker. Tucker has always fancied Della but has loyalty to his friend and her brother Arlo, that he's reluctant to go for more.
The chemistry between them was evident from the beginning and I liked watching their relationship bloom into more.
That being said, the book focuses on her years of abuse and may be a trigger for some. I also think it needed more of a storyline. I understand that were focused on her sexual awakening but it was getting a little much at times.

Asking for Trouble is the third standalone book in the Credence, Colorado series by Amy Andrews.
Fair warning: triggers of abuse by spouse and going to therapy for it, are in this book but also of survival. Della was rescued by her half brother Arlo, whom she never knew existed. Three years after the rescue, she's learned to love herself again and wants put herself back out there to really meet a man. Which leads her to developing feelings for Tucker, who happens to be her brothers best friend and turns into a big mess.
This is a very sexy romance that doesn't leave much to the imagination, not complaining here at all. I've read the first and third of this series now and I hope the author writes about Arlo and Drew's story next.
Thank you again #Netgalley and #Entangled!

Asking for Trouble is the third book in Amy Andrews Credence, Colorado series. But it can easily be read as a standalone and this is what I did, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As it was nicely paced, well written, amusing, sweet, and full of feels. And the small town setting, along with lots of interesting characters certainly added a delightful charm to a story that does also have a serious edge to it.
Would happily recommend.
The beginning of this book was super hard to read. Rescued from an abusive marriage she is ready to try again. But she did need therapy and I don't know if it's enough to need a trigger warning in the beginning?
The love story is sweet and it does have a happily ever after. Although different from her other books this one is more difficult, dark, and at some points you want to cry for the main character.
Not one if you are looking for a fluff romance that makes you smile and laugh the whole book.
I absolutely love this book! I’ve read the other books in this series, so I was hoping that both Della and Tucker would get their own books. The fact that they are a couple makes me positively giddy.
For those who haven’t read Amy Andrews before, please know that her intimate scenes are open door. If this offends you, you might want to try a different book. Her stories and characters are wonderfully complex, funny, sweet and real. While Della and Tucker are obviously the main focus of the story, Andrews introduces (or reintroduces) the reader to many of the town’s citizens, which adds more flavor and laughs to the book. I personally would love to hang out with Rosemary and Winona, have a drink at the bar with Drew and Arlo or sit and chat with Ray and Bob.
Our couple’s journey is a slow build, but it needs to be. Della has suffered abuse and trauma, which may be a trigger for some readers. The care and love that Tucker treat her with, even before their coupledom, is simply heartmelting. Every woman deserves a man like that in her life.
I can’t say enough good things about this book! Asking For Trouble is definitely one of my top reads this year
This book is part of a series, however it can be read as a standalone. I have not read the previous books so I went into this not really knowing a lot about it.
Della has suffered through an abusive marriage which ended three years ago. Now she is ready to get her life back on track. That includes a new job, a drivers licence and to start dating again. As Della married very young, she believes she has missed out on important "milestones" that includes being young, free and single. She has no idea how to have a casual fling. As a result Della joins Tinder.
Tucker is Della's brothers best friend. Tucker is not happy Della has joined Tinder, he is extremely unhappy with the fact Della has asked him to be a dating "wingman". Yip you heard that right, Tucker has to help Della find the good guys from the guys who would send unsolicited pictures. It doesn't stop there, nope, Tucker has to help Della date, give tips on how to take things slow and casual. That may include some steamy encounters.
When I read the synopsis I thought contemporary romance with some emotional and distressing issues. Sounded interesting. I liked the concept that Della was trying to get her life back in the only way she saw how. I did not expect every chapter to have something about s*x in it. It was a little too much for me. I had to skim over a lot because lets be honest there was a lot. As a result I found the storyline and the pace quiet slow. I completely understand the storyline is about Della trying to get back into the dating game in a safe environment. The storyline has a lot of potential,
I absolutely loved Arlo (Della's brother), Tucker and Drew. These three friends are hilarious together. They are protective of Della and also supportive of each other.
Overall this book was not for me. I liked the character development and the friendships however there was too much s*x and not enough storyline.
Tucker Daniels is an all around good guy. He owns the local bar, is best friends the sheriff and mortician. He also has fallen for Della Munroe, the sheriff's sister. Nothing will ever happen because of the bro code. Della Munroe hasn't had an easy life but she is in a good place now. Let the fun begin. She joins Tinder. OMG this was just hilarious. Tucker somehow gets roped into being her wingman. The two of them will have you laughing and smiling. The are so hot for each other but neither will cross the line. A rainstorm hits and all bets are off. The sexy times will make you fan yourself. It was just between them. Nothing stays a secret in a small town.
You are going to love the secondary characters. Winona and Rosemary are a hoot.
I have read every book in this series and this one is my favorite! I loved Della and Tucker! Tucker is Della’s older brother, Arlo’s best friend. Della and Arlo were not raised together. They actually didn’t find out about one another until Arlos dad told him about Della on his death bed three years ago. They have the have the same dad but different moms. When Arlo finds Della he figures out she is in a very abusive marriage. He actually rescues her and brings her home with him to Credence. Everyone in Crendence is aware of Dellas situation. It has taken three years of intense therapy and living with Arlo but Della is now ready to date.
The story begins with Della deciding to date and using the Tinder app. She goes to the bar that Tucker’s owns and tells him of her plans. Della finds Tucker attractive but she knows she is off limits to him and any other man in Credence because of how protective her brother Arlo is. It also doesn’t help that Arlo is the police chief.
Tucker is 36 compared to Dellas 25 but he still cares about her. He also remember the day Arlo brought her to Credence. Arlo also confided in him how he found Della and some of the things that happened to her. So when Della brings up dating Tucker try’s to help Della because of her past. He knows she is ready to date but he worries about what kind of guy she might find on Tinder. Tucker mentions to Arlo about Della going on Tinder to find a guy. Arlo is very protective of Della. In order to help Della our with Tinder and ease Arlos fears Tucker becomes Dellas wingman.
The more Tinder dates Della goes on the harder it gets for Tucker to hide his feelings. Della also has feelings for Tucker but knows he only sees her as Tucker’s fragile little sister. This is when Della decides to go for she wants and that’s Tucker.
I loved this book because Della over came her past and became a strong women out of it. Tucker to me was so perfect for Della and was always there to encourage and be the friend and eventually lover she needed. This book was wrote with dual POV. Like all the books in this series there supporting characters were great. My favorite characters were Rosemary and Roy that lived at the center facility Della worked at. This book has it all with laughs, sexy scenes and romance! I so can’t wait for more books in this series!

Asking for Trouble is the third standalone book in the Credence, Colorado series by Amy Andrews. This romance has just the right combination of sweet and heat that I look for in a western romance.
Della has a lot of dark baggage ad she has spent the past three years repair her mind and soul from the abusive marriage she escaped. Now she's more than ready to move on with her life, she wants to experience the world, and she wants to explore her bodies needs and that of the opposite sex. She joins twitter and her brother's best friend, Tucker, helps her navigate her way on their and becomes her wingman. After a few non so stellar dates she decides who better to explore with than someone she trusts and already knows her history. Tucker resists at first but can't deny her so their friendship turns into friends with benefits that we both agree won't ruin their friendship. But when it's time to end their arrangement will either one of them walk away unscathed.
Della's character is well-developed. She is layered with real struggles and a fierce determination to over come them. She's naive about the real world of intimacy in a way that's not annoying or over the top. I admire the way she embraces her independence and sexuality after what she went through. Tucker was charming, dreamy and delicious. The way he handled everything Della threw at him and supported her independence warms your heart. So does the way he focus' completely on her pleasure before
his own and shows her exactly what she's been missing.
Overall the story was fun. It did drag a little bit for me at times in the beginning with the progression of Tucker and Della's friendship but it did build the sexual tension between them nicely. Asking for Trouble is a brother's best friend, slight age gap, friends to lovers romance that will have you smiling with its cuteness and then fanning yourself from the steam.
Amy Andrews tells such a wonderful story. I loved this book, it was fun, sexy & sweet, as well as a little sad. Della’s life was not what she thought it would be when she got married. Now three years out of that hell, she’s trying to start over & put the horror she lived through behind her, with the help of her brother & new friends in Credence. Tucker, her brothers best friend is asked to help with her reentering the dating world on Tinder. Unbeknownst to each other they have mutual affection running deep & it’s about blow up in their faces. I enjoyed the slow steam & the control that Tucker tried to use when dealing with Della, but I really enjoyed seeing Della take control & turn Tucker into a puddle. Well done, this series just keeps getting better & better. I’m hoping that there’s a book for Arlo & Winona, I think they’d make a really interesting story.
Delia Munroe had a very difficult past. She has spent the past three years being practically invisible. Her strongest relationships are her brother, the elderly at the home she works at, and her therapist. What is missing is a man in her life. So, she downloads Tinder and prepares to have a little fun. No matter who she meets it will be just for fun. It is too bad that her brother's best friend Tucker Daniels doesn't see her as a desirable woman. If he did, she could simply delete Tinder and go after him.
Tucker is nine years older than Delia, and to him that is a huge gap. Add that to the fact that her overprotective brother is his best friend, and Delis is off-limits. Oh, but he is so drawn to her. She is beautiful, kind and sexy. But, Tucker will keep his hands off. He vows to protect her at all times, even being her wingman when she tries a Tinder date from time to time.
Tucker knows that Delia likes him. After all, as the owner of a bar, he is rather adept at reading people. This presents a huge problem when it comes to Delia. He doesn't want her hurt, especially if she is going to be meeting men she meets on Tinder. Can he look out for her without his libido taking over?
I felt for Delia the whole way through. And I loved the fact that this book shared some of her thoughts and feelings when speaking with her therapist. I love that therapy is losing the stigma that exists in this world. On the other hand, her innocence was a bit much. And to me, nine years is not all that much of an age difference when both people are adults. There was a bit of humor in this book and that balanced the dark moments that came with Delia's past. All I wanted from the very beginning of this book was for Delia to find the happiness that she deserved. It was a nice journey watching things unfold between her and Tucker.
Many thanks to Entangled Amara and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.
Asking for Trouble, written by the wonderful Amy Andrews, is the third book in the Credence, Colorado series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Many of the characters were introduced in the previous books and you have a better understanding of the characters, town, and backstory of AFT if you do read the first two books, Nothing But Trouble, and The Trouble with Christmas (which I would absolutely recommend doing).
So…there are a few tropes in this one!
**Brother’s friend
**Age gap
**Past abuse/possible triggers
**Wingman
**Newly found sibling
And here is my overall review…
I adore author Amy Andrews! I love her writing style and her character descriptions, and this romance novel is no different! One of my very favorite tropes is Brother’s Best Friend, and although Tucker isn’t Arlo’s BEST friend, he is one of his best friends. So I already knew I would love it. While I am not a real fan of the “wingman” thing or the “I will help you get back in the dating scene-while teaching you things (wink, wink)- but I won’t fall in love with you in the meantime-even though I am crushing on you already” thing…because Lord knows that NEVER works, HAHA. BUT…the way Author Amy Andrews used this trope/storyline to help Della overcome her abusive past was PERFECTION. His patience, knowledge, and listening to her was written with such necessary healing qualities. What Della was put through before, with her ex-husband, is unspeakable and was incredibly life changing. For her to need to move forward and try to enjoy her life and her sexuality and happiness, she needed to have someone like Tucker in her life to help her!
I loved the humor, the different added parts (Tinder, Frieda’s, Eggplants, hotdogs, Betty, the nursing home….), the friendships across the age groups, the conversation between Arlo, Tucker, and Drew, and (of course) the final outcome of the story. I would absolutely recommend this and give it 4.75 stars!
I don't think I could love this book more!!
I absolutely adored Della and Tucker!!! Both for similar reasons and yet different.
All thought Della is a fictional character, I couldn't wait to watch her grow as a woman especially after what happened to her. She was the type of person that you just got excited when she tried something new or asked for what she want. The courage and bravery that she showed was remarkable.
Tucker was the perfect book boyfriend. He was so wonderful to Della. They were friends first and when she came to him asking for him to teach her things like how to drive, it was only natural. He approached Della different than her brother did. He stood back and let her do her thing but still close enough to be there if she needed him.
I understood many of the issues between them when the feelings started to complicate things, but I still shook my head over the "Arlo's little sister" roadblock. To me, if I was Arlo, there wouldn't be a better man for my sister to be with.
Another fabulous story in the Credence, Colorado series. Now normally my favorite character is always the hot guy and while Tucker was quite fine, Della was awesome! There was just something about her that I just loved and I could not wait for her to finally get her happily ever after. Della had only been in Credence for a few years but her life up to that was awful and she needed the time to recover and try to start a new life. When she was finally ready to start fresh she asked her brother’s friend, Tucker, to be her wingman. Tucker is a fantastic guy and understands what Della is trying to do and helps her. Of course nothing can be easy because Della and Tucker both have crushes on each other but according to Tucker nothing can happen because he is so much “older” than Della and her brother is his best friend so it would just be weird. This is where I started to love Della. Della didn’t have any friends when she came to Credence but she slow made a few good ones and she had her therapist that she could talk to and because of this and what Della was trying to overcome she just asked for what she wanted. Della didn’t play games and just hoped things would happen, if she wanted something she asked no matter how awkward the conversation might be. I absolutely loved this about her. And of course she asked several thing of Tucker and he did help her out and WOW did he help her out! They really were a fabulous couple and were exactly what the other needed. This may have been my favorite book so far in the series. But I am hoping that Arlo gets a book next with a certain romance writer!
I loved reading how Tucker was truthful with Della about guys and dating especially when he liked her. Della wants to date but finds herself in a small town with no one who wants to date her since her brother is the sheriff! When she starts using tender, she asks her brother's best friend to help her navigate it. This was fun and sexy read. Another good read by Amy!
