I was engaged when reading this, but the ending really fell flat for me. Not a satisfying conclusion at all :( Thank you NetGalley and publishers for providing a digital ARC for review.

The End of Her by Shari Lapena tells us the story of seemingly happy couple Stephanie and Patrick. Patrick's first wife passed away 10 years ago and her death was ruled an accident by investigators. Now, 10 years later, Patrick's old friend Erica shows up with a different story. Was it just an accident or is Patrick responsible for his first wife's death?
The End of Her is a quick read with short chapters told from multiple POVs. This helps keep the story moving and the readers interest. It is overall a fun read and I think if you enjoyed previous novels by Ms. Lapena or if you like domestic thrillers in general, you will enjoy this one.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts.
This was a solid thriller with enough twists and turns to keep me going. Shari Lapena is such a well developed author at this point, that you always know you're in for a good time with lots of oohs and oh my goshes!
Holy cow!! I have never read Shari Lapena before, but this will not be my last book of hers. From her descriptions to her twists and turns. This book was a delight!
I enjoyed this book from start to finish! I couldn’t put it down and have already recommended to a few coworkers. Not only was the whole premise captivating, but the different perspectives and constant twists kept me up way past my bedtime. Absolutely fantastic.
I think Shari Lapena's books are pretty solid domestic thrillers, while mostly predictable but I mostly enjoy the ride. I like her writing style and these are always quick reads for me. This one reminded me a bit of The Kind Worth Killing and I liked the open ending. Overall, a solid mystery thriller.

Didn't capture my attention and engagement. Interested in trying it again though and hopefully it will take.
This book started well but then I got a little tired of the story and felt it wasn't moving along quickly enough. I''m sure other readers will enjoy it though. It's about blackmail, murder and affairs.
Although I do agree with many other reviewers that most Shari Lapena books follow some pretty usual tropes, they are still enjoyable reads. This one caught my interest right away, but it felt like it dragged on. Although there is nothing I can really pinpoint that I didn't like, there was nothing here that would lead me to recommend it to others. All in all, it was exactly what you'd expect from a contemporary thriller.
There is a decent amount of unsettling content, so if you are sensitive to thrillers related to pregnant women or parenting, I'd suggest you skip this one.
Shari Lapena's books all seem to be about the same but I keep reading them anyways... A quick read, perfect for a rainy day.
This was a well-written, fast paced thriller that kept me guessing until the very end. Lots of lies, secrets, twists, and turns that made for an incredible read. Overall, a solid thriller with an ending I never saw coming! Highly recommend.
I love Shari Lapena’s books! They are quick read psychological thrillers. That being said this one didn’t disappoint.
Thank you to the Publisher and Netgalley for the advanced e-reader copy. All opinions expressed are my own.
This was so good! One of those stay up way too late to finish type of books. I loved her other novel, The Couple Next Door, and this one did not disappoint! What seems like a perfect family, starts unraveling with each twist and turn to a very unexpected conclusion. Highly recommend!
This was a great did he or didn't he! This had twist and turns that I saw coming, and some I didn't. I will say the ending left me hanging.
Life was just perfect for Stephanie. She has a loving husband named Patrick and newborn twins. Sacraficing sleep is the worst of her troubles. Or at least she thought so. Enter Erica, a woman from Patrick's past. She drops a bombshell on Stephanie. She has accusations against Patrick concerning his first wife. Did Patrick have everything to do with her death and is Stephanie going to one day meet the same fate?
Erica has a story to tell and Stephanie will listen. Erica makes sure of that whether or not Stephanie is keen to listen. She insists that Patrick murdererd his first wife. But there is more. She tells Stephanie that she is having an affair with Patrick. A way to put a pin in the balloon that is Stephanie's life.
What is Stephanie to do? Well, her options are few because Erica has a plan. A plan mired deeply in blackmail or she will go to the police and have the murder case reopened. If that is not bad enough, Erica has more plans. Ruining two lives is not enough. How about two other couples? What happens is in Stephanie's hands. Either she pays Erica the blackmail money or everything will fall apart around them.
Does Stephanie have enough strength to fight Erica? What about her relationship with Patrick? Drama, relationshps, betrayal, lies, threats and danger are all part of the excellently execute plot that Shari Lapena delivers to her readers. As is par for the course for Ms. Lapena, The End of Her was a fabulous read.
Many thanks to Bantam Books and to NetGalley for this ARC to review in exchange for my honest opinion.
Lapena's books are quick reads and great psychological thrillers! She keeps the reader riveted from page one to the very end and even then you're still guessing who actually was the killer!
I love me some Shari Lapena! This is a book that keeps you guessing until the very end. Loved buddy reading this one!!!

This book was very Gone Girlesque with the twists and turns. One or two I saw coming. The rest blew me away. It was a pretty fast, engrossing read. 3.5
Very mysterious and suspenseful! Really enjoyed this book all the way to the end. I loved how the author developed these characters and how much of their inner thoughts we got to see. Will definitely recommend for purchase at my library
Shari Lapena has a certain way of drawing-in her readers with her vivid writing. I love how easy her books are to read. I've read every book written by Shari Lapena, and was extremely excited to see this new release. I read the entire book in about three days. It was very easy to read, but not elementary. I appreciate how her books are not predictable. I don't want to spoil details from the book, but I highly reccomend. If you enjoy authors such as B.A. Paris or Ruth Ware then I think you'll enjoy this.
