Beautiful story! Hooked me early on. Only took me so long to read it as life threw some curve balls and I didn’t have the mental capacity to read for days.
Also, Ida is the best and reminds me so much of my grandmother…which is fitting as I finished reading this book on the day we said our final goodbyes and buried my Grandma.
A captivating book that was a well written with characters that were easy to get to know and care about. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end, the farther I got into the book the harder it was to put down. The story is very well-conceived and beautifully executed with difficult situations that are wonderfully weaved through the storyline.
I highly recommend this heartwarming yet heartbreaking story with characters that you will enjoy getting to know.
I would like to thank NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book even though I did not finish this book.

I found this book to be refreshing and heartfelt. I liked that the plot was simple and that it was easy to follow. It kind of reminded me of Christian Fiction in a way, however there was reference to intimate relations The characters were definitely flat and were divided into either good, or bad people. This was definitely a good reminder that there is good in the world and that thinks can get better if you are feeling hopeless. Thanks for the ARC, NetGalley.
Great book. Highly recommend and will most defiantly read more by this author and suggest to others!

Oh boy this book surprised me at a lot of various points in this great book.. I’m very glad that I was given the opportunity tread the book..
It took me a really long time to read this book but I should have just sped right through it. I was so worried for Suzanna/Darla Jean and the fallout from her lies unravelling that I took my time but that unravelling was so beautiful and full of grace & mercy for most of the characters. Bette Lee knows how to write a heartfelt book that shows a story of a changed life and how beautiful a new start can be. It’s been a while since I read a book I could give 5 stars to but this one reaches it effortlessly.
Thank you NetGalley & the publisher for the chance to read this fantastic story.

A Million Little Lies was well-written with realistic characters. A good story that has a moral to it.

Overall, this was a light quick read, with short chapters, and I completely fell into the book., Yes, it is a tear-jerker, but WOW, such a beautiful weaved story. NO LIE. I loved it, I hope everyone will grab a copy and want to hug it.
I have read quite a few Bette Lee Crosby books and I have enjoyed every single one. Her books are full of Southern Charm, wisdom, a sense of family and characters striving to do the best they can with what they have. She is a gifted storyteller who relies on the strength of her storytelling and not on cheap gimmicks, twists from out of left field. There are never any gratuitous scenes in her books or excessive language making them appealing to a wide array of readers. Her characters deal with real life issues and her story lines are reverent, believable, and never feel rushed. Her main characters are likable, endearing and charming.
A Million Little Lies was a well told story with well-developed characters. This is a story of life, love and the true meaning of family. I recommend this story to anyone.
A Million Little Lies by Bette Lee Crosby was a easy, but, lovely sweet read. It was a new author for me which I liked. Bette Lee Crosby explores the meaning of family and how the choices you make can define the outcome,This book is set in the 1960 in a small Georgia town and was a very powerful read.
Another thing I liked about this book, the chapters were small and easy to follow the story.

Oh how one lie can turn into a million little lies! As this story unfolds you can somewhat sympathize with this characters emotional problems get leave you angry for all the pain she created by adding more to it. This author is a go to one for me and definitely recommend you read this book! I loved it right till the end! A must read !
One of my very favorite authors delivers a story that just makes you glad you found her. I will preorder anything she writes the minute it’s announced just because she wrote it. They are great stories that you can share with anyone of any age. A true gem these days. She makes you believe in goodness again. And we all need that. I highly recommend this book. It remains a favorite.
Bette Lee Crosby has written a captivating, intriguing, emotional, and thought-provoking novel. The time-line for the story is set in the 1960s and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events in the story. This mostly takes place in Georgia. The author describes her colorful and dramatic cast of characters as complex, and complicated. Some are good-natured and likable. The southern feel and atmosphere is delightful.
In the weeks following her mama’s death, ten-year-old Suzanna Duff learned to lie as convincingly.
With such a start, I couldn’t help but be drawn to the story of Suzanna’s life where she dealt with her situation as best as she could, wanting to make things better for her daughter, Annie.
A Million Little Lies , My first book by author Bette Lee Crosby, it was full of Southern charm and politeness. The writing was beautiful where the author brought out the beauty and strength of the characters.
Tough circumstances were not sugar coated but empathized with, showing me Suzanna’s determination. Luck too played a hand when she escaped an abusive household just to be mistaken as a daughter of a long forgotten child and accepted by the town.
A grandmother found her life back, Suzanna found a way to live respectfully, and little Annie found peace and happiness. But there was always a snake or two in Eden. Though I wanted Suzanna to be wilful, it was nice when she stood up for herself. Some scenes might be unrealistic, but then life was different for women in 1960.
This was a beautiful story, well-etched, the snapshots of Suzanna and Annie’s lives shown in realistic circumstances along with the frialities of the human heart. The art of storytelling was embedded in this book as she went on a new start with a new name.
One of my easiest and warmest reads. Bette Lee Crosby won over my heart over a single afternoon.
Bette Lee Crosby is a favorite author for the heartwarming stories that touch your soul and stay with you long after the last page is read. I enjoyed this book very much. The characters are well written and the story was touching and real. I recommend this book.
Bette Lee Crosby is one of those authors I turn to for a nice, wholesome read. I read a lot of thrillers, so her books are a change of pace. Her books have soul and always find a way to pull at your heartstrings. I would recommend Bette Lee Crosby to fans of Kristin Hannah, Elin Hilderbrand, or Danielle Steele. If you haven't read her before, this is a great start!
