Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for my digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

Again, this is a book I might not normally request but I threw it in to the mix because I am on a nonfiction kick recently and it was there. :) The book was laid out in a easy to keep up with fashion and it was full of so much information that you could start using lunar magic right away, if you wanted. I have no idea if this is a beginner book or if someone who already has a lot of information on the subject would be bored but for someone like ME, it was a great starter book. Many easy to follow moon spells are included along with some general information. The book was divided into three sections...The first is broken into moon phases, the second is alphabetical order by what your goal is, and the third is by time of year. I am not sure I will go any further with the moon spells or anything else I found in the book but it was an interesting read.

Love this! It really does give you all the basic info you need to start using lunar magic as you wish. Laid out in an easy way to understand and follow. There's useful potions, spells and even how to draw down the moon. All in one little book that makes it so easy to carry around outside if you're doing a ritual or spell. Couldn't ask for something better!

This book is a beginners reference guide to moon magic and spells. The book is divided by moon phase, by goal, and by time of the year. The book focuses on spells that are light and quick, making it very beneficial for people who are new to moon magic.

If you have read any of the previous Llewellyn holiday books you will know the basic set up and practical application this book provides. I am not new to moon magic but I still enjoyed this book and feel it will make a great reference for anyone, even a master.

Overall, this is a great book for beginners and perfect to use as a reference book.

Llewellyn's Little Book of Moon Spells by Melanie Marquis is a quick, little read full of advice and instructions on how to best capture the power of Moon Magick and utilize it in your own life. I found the book to be well thought out. I once read that the best books begin by taking the stance that the reader is new to the subject, and this book does that. It briefly explains the mystique of moon magick, its history and continuing allure. The author explains how to best work with each phase of the book for the practitioners optimum outcome in spell weaving. She discusses the lunar year, how to work with the signs of the zodiac and how to incorporate stones, oils, colors, potions and candles into your spells. It's an ideal little spell book to use for quick reference. I really enjoyed this book.

I'm a big fan of the Llewellyn's titles and have many in the shelves around my home. I'm excited to have gotten this one to peruse. I've always been fascinated by the moon ; the show the Magicians had the "Lunatics" who worshipped the moon and connected with her via moon brain (5 day sleep deprivation) so thankfully that's not needed here. Lovely book and addition to my collection.

Learn about the moon, it's cycles and meanings. How to understand the energy and cast spells within the rhythm of its powerful energies.

This is the sort of information subject that is nice to have in a book copy for easy referencing.

A short, cute introduction to Moon Spells, this is definitely just that, and very much aimed at a person who has little to no background on the matter.

However, I felt like this focussed too much on little 'quick fixes' like beauty and love spells, and less on meaningful manefastations and such. I feel like this is aimed more as an entertaining introduction, as I mentioned, than a meaningful analysis / deepening of practices.

The Llewellyn Little Book series often make for great introductions and gifts however I was a little lost on this one. It wasn’t until the author suggested that you may place a statue of the Manga character Sailor Moon on you alter that it became immediately apparent to whom this audience was intended. Drawing heavily on Wiccan ideologies, random Wikipedia facts about the moon and more visualising rather than spell casting, The Little Book of Moon Spells offers a very light read on the subject. With lots of love and beauty spells and potions to keep you entertained on a Saturday night. It also includes a moon practice for the wheel of the year however only applicable for the Northern hemisphere.

The author divides rituals and the book in three different ways. The first is divided by moon phase, the second is alphabetical order by goal, and finally by time of year. I liked the idea of the ritual.and meditations provided. These would be good to add to yoga classes during the savasana. It would also be an interesting way to add special night practices as a class option. There are a lot of good ideas in the book that you can use however you practice meditation and goal setting.

I am a night owl. I do my best work at night. I'm always looking for new spells to try and quickly fell in love with this little book. I've even adapted a few to use what works best for me. Love it!

I like Llewellyn's previous "little books" so I was excited to check this one out. It is a nice guide to all moon-related magic and symbols for those practicing witchcraft. Concise and clear.
