A cute story. Children will enjoy playing along to guess what's behind the door. I thought the pictures were pretty intense, but they are very bright.
I liked that this book had great images to look at and nicely colored. I got the vibe that this is for a small child on early elementary, which is why I thought it dragged on too much to keep a child interest and used too big of words as well. As a parent, if I had to sit and explain a lot of words my kids would not to continue to read. Didnt feel as if it flowed well from room to room.
I was given the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
As an educator, of nearly 20 years, working mostly with preschoolers, I found this book to be entertaining. I feel like it had good bones, but may have missed a bit in delivery. If I were to use it in my classroom I would expand about counting/numbers to coordinate with the doors.
Thank you for the opportunity to review
I love how bright the illustrations are! I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I thought I would, but it is still a really great story with lots of beautiful pictures.
Alexander and Sophia see a magic house in the distance. They pack their bags and head off on an adventure. This book pure magic. It is straight from the dreams of children. All of the secret rooms were a fantasy that all children (adults) would dream of visiting.
This is a really fun book, with bright, colourful illustrations. It really captures a child’s imagination and the story is so fun. Ada liked it.
This was a wonderful children’s book full of imagination and wonder for my 3-year-old. He was so excited to follow along with two children as they explore the rooms of a magic house on a hill. Each room was filled with every child’s dream – chocolate, toys and adventure. This book had my son engaged throughout with colorful illustrations and moments that we could draw from. Thank you to NetGalley and Alan Matkovic for providing an advanced reader copy to enjoy. We will be reading this one again for sure!
This is a great children's book with bright and colorful illustrations! I my 8 year old enjoyed it, and my 4 year old asked me to read it to him over and over. The story about two children discovering secrets in a magic house is very cute.
This was a beautiful dnd engaging book for young kids. It is fun to discuss what rooms they wish that magic house would have. It also makes for a great opportunity to make inferences.

Very colorful and imaginative story book about a boy and girl who go on an adventure to explore a magic house on a hill. Once they get in they explore the magic of each room. Perfect for kids who have an active imagination.
