Tarot Healer: Using the Cards to Deepen Your Chakra Healing Work, written by Leeza Robertson, is an excellent book that incorporates the use of Tarot cards to enhance chakra healing work. This book is a great resource for those who are interested in learning about the connection between Tarot and chakra healing, and how to use Tarot cards to deepen their healing practice.

The book is divided into two main parts. The first part provides an overview of Tarot and chakra healing, explaining how these two practices can work together to create a powerful healing experience. The author delves into the meaning and symbolism of each Tarot card and how they correspond to the different chakras in the body. This section also provides practical tips on how to prepare for a Tarot reading and how to interpret the cards.

The second part of the book is where the author introduces the exercises. Each section is dedicated to a different chakra and includes multiple exercises that utilize Tarot cards to deepen the healing work for that chakra. The exercises are easy to follow and can be done by anyone, regardless of their level of experience with Tarot or chakra healing.

One of the things I really enjoyed about this book is that the author doesn't just provide exercises for the traditional seven chakras, but also includes exercises for the higher chakras such as the soul star and causal chakras. This makes the book unique and provides readers with a more complete and well-rounded understanding of chakra healing.

Another thing that sets this book apart is the way it incorporates Tarot into the healing process. Tarot is often seen as a tool for divination or fortune-telling, but this book shows that it can also be used for healing and personal growth. By incorporating Tarot into chakra healing, readers are given a new perspective on how to approach their own healing journey.

Overall, Tarot Healer: Using the Cards to Deepen Your Chakra Healing Work is a well-written and informative book that I thoroughly enjoyed. It's a great resource for anyone interested in Tarot, chakra healing, or both. The exercises are practical and easy to follow, making it a great book for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to deepen their healing practice and incorporate Tarot into their spiritual journey.

This book gives an interesting new spin to tarot by combining it with energy healing through exploring chakra work. The author Leeza Robertson has background as an energy healing coach and was noticing that her clients were having a deeper and more practical map towards their healing journey through the use of tarot as it gave them a visual reference for their health, thoughts, feelings and actions.

This book provides a self study course that combines the energetic healing work of the chakra system with the healing energy of the tarot. It will take you on a journey through your seven chakras all while also exploring your cards and your own healing journey!

I also like that the author doesn’t tout this book as a medical book, medical advice, or replacement for seeing a medical professional if you are struggling with a true medical problem. This book is for helping you become better aware of how your thoughts, feelings, and actions impact the seven energy centers of your body and can be used along side medical care as a complement to care.

Thanks to Netgalley, publisher and author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

In my cartomancy journey, I am always looking for good books on Tarot and cartomancy. I'll admit that other than knowing there is a concept of chakras, I came to this book with no real knowledge of what chakras are or what they do. However, I've read and liked books by this author, and I was curious, so I took a chance. I got to learn some new things. I will mention that while you do learn a bit about chakras, the book does assume some prior knowledge.

The book is arranged as follows:

Introduction.
A chapter for each chakra. Seven chapters total.
Conclusion.
Recommended reading list.
Bibliography.

In the introduction, the author lays out her roadmap, goals, and makes sure we understand the text does not substitute for medical advice and information. After that, we get a chapter focusing on each chakra. Each chakra chapter has the same structure of seven sections presenting the main issues of each chakra. Each chapter also features exercises to do along with your Tarot deck including spreads. Note that if you read Tarot, and you do not read reversals, there will be reversals here, and the author has a reason for that. I don't usually read cards in reversed/upside down positions (though I can often sense if I need to read a card as a reversal), so the author's use of reversals was not an issue for me. In addition, the author encourages use of journaling; journaling is something I find useful in my own Tarot journey, so I am glad to see it at work here. She also encourages you to use other Tarot books to supplement your learning as needed.

A strength of the book is the author's well organized and nurturing teaching style. Even with the very minimal idea of what a chakra is when I started, I felt I could read, do the exercises, and learn. I can definitely see myself taking time to do the exercises, and I can see how it could deepen my knowledge of Tarot. She takes you step by step, encouraging writing, reflection, and thinking along the way. I read the book through for this review, but this is a book to patiently work through with journal and Tarot cards in hand.

As I mentioned, the book does assume some prior knowledge of chakras. She gives enough to those of us with minimal knowledge, but if you are like me, consider getting a good book on chakras. Because of that, I was a little disappointed the author did not include a book on chakras in her recommended reading list nor in her bibliography. A title or two could have been helpful. She also mentions doing work with crystals, so again, keep a crystals reference book handy if needed. Do note that using crystals to work with this book is optional.

Overall, I really like this book, and I would like to try at least some of the exercises out. I do recommend it.

I don't think I've ever written a review of a book that I'm in the process of reading, but this book is so deep and insightful that I'm taking my time as I go through it and I wanted to share some insights I've had.

Truth be told, this is a workbook. It is not light, nor is it really a book that you can expect to read through without stopping if you want to get anything useful out of it. It's not an introduction to chakras, tarot, or energy healing, and that is exactly what I absolutely LOVE about it.

I've been working with the aforementioned concepts for a couple years now, and I've wanted to go deeper. I didn't know this book was what I needed, but it absolutely is. So much of the literature out there is Metaphysics 101, and I'm growing beyond it. This book connects concepts in a simple way -- how did I not think of combining tarot and chakra healing myself? -- but the layers the author presents just keep peeling away.

Too many self-styled gurus want you to believe that if you listen to their 20 minute chakra clearing meditation on Insight Timer, you'll be aligned and perfectly spiritually, emotionally, and mentally stable. The problem with that is the foundational idea that we're mostly all fine, here, we just need a dust-off now and again. I ask you this: if you're mostly fine except for a handful of minutes of maintenance a day, why are you here on earth? I assume most people looking into this book have at least a passing interest in the spiritual, so let's think about this for a minute. You've incarnated for a reason. You're not an enlightened Master. But why not? What's standing in your way? Are you ready to dive in and find out, to the core level of your being?

Start with this book.

As anyone who has worked with tarot knows, the cards can be pretty harsh. I just got through a review of my chakras that kicked my butt from one side of the room to the other. Things aren't as rosy as I'm pretending they are -- but I'm happy to have done it. I'm ready to move to the next level. If you are, too, then I suggest this book. The author clearly has a wealth of experience and knowledge to draw on, and I'm so happy to have stumbled across her.

Please note: I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I loved that this book connects the tarot reading to healing one's chakras. There are journal prints a d different tarot spreads for each chakra. This book is not a beginners book, but it is absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend this book to tarot readers who wish to use the cards to heal themselves.

I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy free of charge. This is my honest and unbiased opinion of it.

Firstly this is not a beginner tarot or energy healing guide. Secondly this is a book you’re going to want to work through as opposed to just reading cover to cover. That being said I loved this book. I can’t wait to get a physical copy to put on my shelves as a reference book.

Thank you to the Publisher and Netgalley for the advanced reader copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

A complete book, full of useful ideas and explanations. This way of working with tarot would never have crossed my mind, and the way the author explains everything is very direct and simple. Sometimes the descriptions or analysis seemed longer than necessary, but it was a very enlightening reading that challenges the conceptions of the tarot. It makes you see everything from another point of view.

I like this book. This is more of a workbook so don't think that you'll read the book through and automatically feel elevated. You'll need to set the time to do the work. Take it slow, Rome wasn't built in a day.

What an excellent book! It is definitely not a beginner's guide to either Tarot cards or energy healing, and it doesn't claim to be, so readers should look for other sources if they need to brush up on some background information for either of these mediums. It has a fantastic cover and I felt that it is an easy to follow guide which provides structure for exploration of both Tarot and healing. I find that it is excellent for insights, information and guidance. This is a great guide for your collection. I highly recommend.

I would like to thank Leeza Robertson, Llewellyn Publications and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I selected this book out of curiosity. I know very little about chakra's but I am an experienced tarot reader, always ready for a new way to use the cards.

This book asks for a lot of journaling, don't expect a quicky read here. It explores all the chakra's and their branches by offering individual card spreads for each section. The basic descriptions of the chakra's are easy to understand for beginners, more insight is gained through the tarot cards.
Eventually the reader ends up with a full chakra overview and the points that need attention. Of course by this time it's days if not weeks into journaling and the first discoveries might not be accurate anymore, but at least there is a journal full of spreads to fall back on.
All in all, an interesting journey.

Thank you Netgalley and Llewellyn for the ARC.

This is an awesome book! It is not a beginner's guide to either energy healing or tarot, and doesn't claim to be, so look for other sources if you need some background information on each of those modalities. I love the cover (!) and found it well set out, easy to follow and providing some structure for exploration of these areas. It is fabulous for inspiration and insights, highly recommended!

Tarot Deck Review
Tarot Healer
Using the Cards to Deepen
Your Chakra Healing Work
by Leeza Robertson
276 Pages

… The Tarot Healer Path… who or what is a tarot healer? It doesn’t matter what sort of energy work you do-incorporating elements from this book will deepen your work. Tarot healing is a way of exploring how to dialogue with, shift, and release thoughts, feelings or beliefs that may e standing in the way of over-all health and well being or causing pain or suffering….

Tarot Healer: Using the Cards to Deepen Your Chakra Healing Work by Leeza Robertson merges the knowledge of an energetic healer’s practice with that of a clear understanding of the impact Tarot cards can have when used as tools for healing and emotional excavation. To this end, Tarot Healer: Using the Cards to Deepen Your Chakra Healing Work is filled with tarot spreads unique to the specific chakra energy of focus and the repair and renewal that may be necessary from a healer’s perspective. The work outlined in this book is self-directed and allows the reader to integrate what is needed for their particular circumstance and desires for wholeness, health and well-being. Journaling is encouraged as a tool in the chakra healing process and as a resource for charting progress and growth. The chapters are aligned with the seven (7) basic Chakras, providing the reader with a blend of Tarot and Chakra teachings and practices.

The Introduction explains the basic energies of the seven chakras and the use of the number “7” that in each chapter further broken down into seven (7) sections that outline the seven main issues each chakra must resolve. The author instructs that to gain the most benefit from this book, work through each chapter in order (from the Root upwards) and allow each to settle in and resonate with the particular chakra of its association. The reader begins the work immediately with an exercise for the “chakra pillar” and uses reversals (upside down) for the layout of the tarot cards. This exercise serves as a point of assessing where you are in the moment and provides vital information to be explored more deeply in the subsequent chapters and work.

… Keep your information gathering intuitive for now. You may want to consider using one of your last used decks as this may force you to focus more on the images and less on your standard habitual interpretation of the cards themselves. Of course, if what you observe matches up with what you know, then that is fabulous as well. Just don’t get too stuck in the mind let it flow and play with it…

Each chapter is packed with exercises and readings with a nice balance of instructive material about both the Tarot and the energetic anatomy of the chakras. The seven sections contained within each adapt in accord with the basic energy of the chakra represented, giving a nice touch of flexibility and awareness of the versatility that each of these power centers displays. In example section 1 of the Root Chakra is entitled Foundation; for the Solar Plexus it is entitled Self-Expression and for the Crown Chakra it is entitled Connection. And, if the reader moves through the book as recommended, from Root to Crown, the underpinnings of a collective energy and journey are clearly experienced.

Chapter 8: Pulling It All Together does exactly that. The reader is encouraged to gather all of the information gathered in going through each of their chakras and as way of continuing the work to draw a monthly spread of the 7-card pillar to set the one for your month. The Recommended Reading list concluding the book gives more to explore and enhance your work moving forward.

Would I Recommend:

Tarot Healer: Using the Cards to Deepen Your Chakra Healing Work by Leeza Robertson provides the reader with a nicely crafted weaving of Tarot studies and Energetic Healing principles. I was especially interested in this title because I work with both systems regularly and I was interested to read the perspective of another in how the two inform one another. I was not disappointed. Leeza has managed to pull together two extensive disciplines and use them is such a way that the amount of work required for understanding these individually is transparent and un-daunting. The amount of exercise/spreads and times for reflection serves as supports and bolsters for ensuring the information could effectively be built upon and in this way become second nature in recognition of and application.

I love every aspect of this book and can't wait to own a physical copy of it. I've never even considered linking chakras to tarot, and this book makes a perfect case for it. It's also beautifully written. The beginning exercise was eye-opening and (pulling a card for each chakra, and journaling about them) set the stage for an incredibly eye-opening and fresh experience reading tarot.

Thanks to Llewellyn Worldwide for the ARC!

Wow, this book is so great, full of information and exercises. Much better than I expected, to be honest.

I'm still learning to read Tarot and I confess that I still haven't done all the exercises suggested by the author, but I did a few that spoke closer to my heart and I had great experiences. I would say that a person needs to know at least the basics of Tarot, it's not a book that we can recommend to anyone. But the author does a pretty great job, and if you follow her words you'll do just fine.

Amazing Tarot and Chakra Book

As someone who has worked with both chakras and the tarot for decades, I'm surprised I never thought to combine the two as this author has. So, what a delight to discover this book! Essentially, there are seven main chapters in the book, one for each chakra, and within each chapter, the author explores seven key meanings of that particular chakra. She gives tarot card exercises for the exploration of the health of that aspect of your life. You will learn some new spreads and do other helpful exercises. This is certainly a deep dive into chakra work in a way that I've never seen before, and I've read a lot of metaphysical books for over 30 years! In the final chapter, the author explains how you can continue to do this work over time moving forward after your initial reading of the book, though not as intensively as the first time around She also offers ideas about how to incorporate this into your daily energywork and into your energywork practice if you have one. If you love the tarot and chakra work as I do, this book is right in your wheelhouse. Do not hesitate to buy it, as you will not be disappointed.

I requested a copy of this book for my spouse, who is a tarot reader, massage therapist, and proponent of energy work like Reiki. She spent several hours reading through the book, trying different readings, etc. and was impressed by the way the author connected emotional well-being to tarot.

My spouse views tarot as a self-discovery tool that’s meant to help you learn more about yourself and uncover your emotions. To that end, she said this book did a wonderful job of providing info for experienced readers who are newer to the concept of energy work.

* This Review is based on an E-ARC edition provided by Netgalelley

What I Loved
1. The author does an amazing job with the topical organization of their material using the chakra system as a frame work.

2. Tarot reversals are actually acknowledged which is something that has become sparse with many recent writers.

3. Clearly laid out index for easily finding the topic that is relevant to the readers current issues.

4. contains both a good bibliography and recommended reading section.

5. On page citation was provided where appropriate. This alone pushed it from a three star to a four star read for me.

What I did not care for

1. limited to absent addressing of non traditional card names and interpretations that have become common in the community.

2. The book is not well suited to a e reading experience. ( I hope to purchase and read the book physically in the future and may update my review if I do.

I was thrilled to be granted an advanced reading copy of Tarot Healer by Leeza Robertson in exchange for an honest review. I am familiar with past work by this author and looked forward to jumping into this book with hopes of enhancing my tarot practice. As a Reiki Master and energy worker, I am familiar with the chakra system and found this book to be a great explanation for those who may have never worked within the chakra system as well as those who have (myself included). Each chakra is well represented, tarot spreads and affirmations are provided and exercises provided to help the reader on their journey into powerful energy healing work.

This book really isn't for someone brand spanking new to tarot, however, as there are no card explanations on that end. The reader should have a basic familiarity with the tarot system to get the most out of Tarot Healer.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to utilizing some of the spreads and exercises in my own tarot practice. Many thanks to Llewellyn Worldwide, Ltd. and Netgalley for this ARC.
