Emelie A. Blank's "Easy Marriage Counseling" is a powerful book full of incredible exercises to strengthen any relationship. If you want to experience a more secure, connected, loving, and intimate relationship, then this book can absolutely help you on your journey!
So many of the books that I have been reviewing seem relevant to our current circumstances. At this moment spouses may be spending more time together than usual and tensions may arise in just about any relationship. While this book was not written with covid in mind, it does seem like a very good resource for now.
The author is a trained clinician who offers this book to couples. Professionals may also find it to be helpful in their work with clients. The book is well organized. Each of the 52 chapters begins with a short vignette about a couple. Following this an activity of some kind is offered. For instance, there is a chapter on self care. This includes many helpful suggestions of ways to care for oneself. Following these ideas, the author offers discussion questions for partners to chat about.
If couples are in serious, unrelenting difficulty it may be risky to try to treat oneself although, with respectful interaction, this book might still be a resource. For those who wish for a better relationship and better communication this title looks quite helpful.

Easy Marriage Counseling is a tool that can be used by therapists, social workers and mental health professionals all over the world. The manual delves into various topics that are well explained in terms that all readers can understand. Even if you are not a part of the mental health profession and need tips or knowledge on how to deepen your marriage this book will provide this for you. I love how the writer provides in the beginning of the book a "how to use this book section" as it helps the reader navigate the sections of the book with fluidity and understanding. This is so important when it comes to this kind of genres because often a writer will publish a book and not provide the tools needed to navigate the read. I particularly enjoyed the fluidity and easy to read language used by the writer which allows readers from all walks of life to utilize the book as the intended tool.

Maybe I've read too many books like this one and I am in a happy, healthy marriage. But there is still a lot of good information and exercises for couples to do. I like that it is broken up into 52 chapters to make it easy to do one chapter a week, or as fast or slow as a couple prefers. It's a pretty good book for relationships that are going well or ones that need work.
