This wasn’t a bad book,it just wasn’t for me.There’s nothing about it that I hated but there were few things I really didn’t like. I couldn’t connect with characters and I couldn’t see the chemistry between Fran and Ollie.
Most of the time I liked Fran’s character. She is unapologetically herself, smart and confident, but at the same time she was self-centered and selfish. I really didn’t like Ollie. He was just as selfish as Fran and his actions confused me most of the time. I liked their workplace,Fran’s roommate Suze and I enjoyed reading about all the dates Fran went to. They were really entertaining and the most interesting part of this book for me.
I didn’t like this book as much as I thought I would but I’m sure that someone else will, so don’t let my review stop you from giving it a chance and reading it.

This book had me confused, overwhelmed and hooked till the end.

Fran and Ollie meet for the first time during an interview, applying for the same job. And, it was a surprise for them when they got to know that they had both been recruited in Viral Hive. And with time they became best friends and work spouses from feeling unsure around each other. Truly, this seemed like a roller coaster ride.

From the start I had figured that the writing style was something I wasn't accustomed to. Not any major changes, but certain things here and there. And of course I had read the blurb and remembered it, so I was very excited to see where things were going. For sometime, I felt that it was stretching. Nothing major happened (and by that I mean the blurb) and I was on my toes. And then the moment arrived and I was utterly invested. Which actually made me realize that those first few pages were important for the story to have a mature base.

The characters were pretty amazing too. I mean apart from obvious dickheads, they were truly amazing. Fran's character, in a small summation, can be described as someone who's hard from inside but soft from inside. Ollie, on the other hand, was hard to pin down for me. He seemed someone who was clear about what he wanted but he made some crap decisions. And Fran and Ollie together? Obviously they were meant to be together from the beginning but, man, it was amazing and strenuous to watch them finally realize that.

The ending made me really emotional. And to be honest, although the book felt really long, at the end it was just worth it.

A fun little rom-com read. I enjoyed reading Swipe Right. This was a new to me author and I will definitely read more of her books.

I thought I’d love this more than I did. It had so much potential, but I found myself just not caring towards the halfway point. I couldn’t stand most of the characters and found the romance to be lacking. Also, don’t like when cheating is used in order to create unnecessary drama between the characters. The general idea for the book was great, but the execution was just lacking for me.

I really wanted to love this book. The premise is amazing and I love friends to lovers stories. However, the actual execution just fell short for me. I ended up skimming through most of the book.

This book feels a lot like Amelie meets The Bachelorette. I expected that Fran and Ollie already knew each other, but we follow their entire relationship, from when they're competitors for a job to when they fall in love. Most of it is following the daily life of Fran, which gives the feel of Amelie. Then she goes on a ton of crazy Tinder dates and we see all that insanity. There are additional side plots as well. I started struggling right from the beginning, since Fran and Ollie seem to hate-like each other for the first third of the book before coming friends. Why does this have to happen? I would have preferred skipping that part and starting with crazy dating.

I did enjoy many of the secondary characters, so I would be interested to read their books if they happen!

This is a contemporary enemies to friends to more romance largely involving the folk who work at Viral Hive, a trendy media content agency. With online dating, a round the world tour and a great cast of secondary characters this is billed as being the modern day alternative version of When Harry Met Sally. Fran and Ollie initially meet when they go to be interviewed for the same job and are paired up for a presentation. At that time both have significant other halves - hers is Lucas and his is Lou. However, as these two work together and get to know each other, everyone else can see they should be together - except them...... so let the fun begin!

 I really like the team that Fran works with at the Hive, there are some great laughs amongst them and it sounds like a fantastic, supportive place to work. I particularly liked both Fran's friends Suze and Carlina, they both seem to 'get' Fran and do their best to support her through all her trials and tribulations. I certainly didn't feel that way about her erstwhile best friend since childhood, Lydia, I felt her attitude and support left much to be desired . . . . and so did that of Lucas! Some of the antics are funny but others are concerning. I'd certainly be very anxious if I had a daughter going out with strangers she's met on Tinder and bringing them back to her flat when they'd only just met, just too trusting, IMHO. OK, so I'm somewhat of a prude, but I'd also be seriously worried about her safety both physically and healthwise. If you don't mind your romance reads including (two) love triangles, infidelity, narcissism and tinder dates, you'll probably love this contemporary romance. It is a slow burn, taking over two years and lots of false starts or hold ups en route. Sticking with the journey analogy, it also felt like the final destination, so eagerly anticipated, was not quite as expected but I suggest you read it for yourself to discover just what I mean and decide for yourself it that is a good or bad thing!

this was a cute and funny rom com book if you are looking for a good summer read
i was able to read it fairly quickly. im not sure if i really loved it, loved it. i just enjoyed it. the chemistry between the two characters and knowing that they should get together was enjoyable to read.

Swipe Right is a modern retelling of When Harry Met Sally, set in a quirky workspace full of big personalities. Ollie and Fran are competing for the same job and when they both unexpectedly get it, they're forced to work with each other.

While the premise certainly drew me in, it wasn't enough to make this enjoyable. I really loved the setting, the workplace was exciting and London was a bit of fresh air for someone who doesn't really read rom-coms set in England. But, quickly I found myself not caring about any of the background characters, they were all "quirky" or "sassy" and uninteresting. Unfortunately, I didn't even like the love interest, Ollie. He didn't really have a personality except when he was a bit of an ass to Fran. Half of the time I didn't even buy that he liked Fran at all.

Fran, however, I really did enjoy. I found her a bit crass and very out there, but never was I annoyed by her. I also must admit my favorite parts of the book were her write-ups of her god awful dates. I do wish that element of the story came a bit earlier because I couldn't stand her ex-boyfriend Lucas either.

Sadly, this book wasn't for me at all.

This was an amazing rom-com and I highly recommend it if you're looking for sweet characters, funny interactions and a great plot! The author's writing was refreshing and fast-paced, which made the book even better.

Swipe Right by Stephie Chapman is a fun light read that will make you smile and laugh out loud at times. It is a perfect book to escape from reality of all the seriousness in the world right now.

This book is for anyone who has looked at their best friend and realised, oh, hey, it’s you.

Originally the cute fun and cartoonish cover caught my eye. Not to mention the name of the book the whole thing just screamed fun read. Kudos to the graphic designer.

For the first part of the book I was trying to figure out why it was called Swipe Right. The title for the first part of the book didn’t seem to fit. However, the turning point of the book it did. Then at the end was the real eye opener when it all fell into place. I had an ah ha moment.

Seems like every book has a character I don't care for. This book was Lucus! Oh he rubbed me the wrong way on so many levels. I could not understand what Lydia saw in him! Everyone could tell he didn’t treat her right-except for her.

In swipe right I loved seeing how the Lydia and Ollie developed as characters as the story evolved.

One thing that Stephie revealed at the end of the story was her friendships with her best friends through conversations on social media apps were woven strands into this story.

Such a great summer read, usually I’d say to take on holiday, but I guess great for the garden, balcony and escape for a little while. Such a cute story, sweet characters , a great rollercoaster read of emotions, but we get there in the end, we all love a happy ending right ! Funny, romantic and great escapism

On Twitter the author Stephie Chapman has called Swipe Right “a bit When Harry Met Sallyish, a bit Buzzfeedy, some ridiculous Tindering and a lot of sass.” And that is absolutely spot-on! There’s romantic work-place drama like in The Hating Game, there’s longing and misunderstandings like in Meet Cute, with a bit of men and women can’t be friends flirting like in When Harry Met Sally.

Swipe Right is such romcom fun! Reading this book feels like chatting with a friend that you can tell anything (and I mean anything) to and she won’t judge. Seeing the ups and downs of dating in London, her friendships in and out of work, her cool job at Viral Hive — it felt like Fran was telling me all about it herself. Like I was getting all the juicy dating details and emotional purges directly from her. This book is hilarious, sexy, flirty, emotional, romantic, and cool, and that’s why it felt like a friend coming over for pizza at the end of a long day to confide in you. And I love that!

Fran, Ollie, Carlina, Suze — I loved them all in their own way, getting to know them, seeing them all be there for each other, seeing them grow. Especially seeing Fran and Ollie’s hearts change over time.

Really enjoyed reading Swipe Right and would absolutely recommend it!

This was an enjoyable easy read with a great concept.  Ollie and Fran have a job interview for the same position at Viral Hub. Viral Hub is the book's equivalent to BuzzFeed and they're both brilliant candidates. When the company can't decide who gets the job, they create a role so they both can work for them. They seem to be a perfect match for one another and everyone can see it apart from them.

Fran ends up going on some hilarious dates and some that were downright crazy! It was for the most part enjoyable but felt a little bit frenetic how quickly Fran was moving through blokes on Tinder. It was a great plot but I was genuinely concerned for her safety and what was going to happen to her next! I was worried Ollie was going to have to come and save her at one point...

I could definitely see this as a modern day version of 'When Harry Met Sally'. It's an easy read with a good plot. I just wish there had been a bit more romance to the story and a better ending. It felt like the story was building up and went out with a fizzle rather than a bang.

I feel like I've been reading a lot of romance lately and that might be why I chose to give this book 3 stars rather than 4. There is nothing wrong with the book, I just judged it on how I was feeling. I've been reading a lot of romance lately.

Such a sweet read. Great for the beach if it's ever safe to venture out of the house again, but I digress. Loved Fran and Ollie. I thought she was a bit hard on him in the beginning but she came around. I thought he was a bit of an idiot at first too, but the story all came together in the end. I would definitely read more from Chapman again.

Fran is applying for a job at a viral media company. While she is there she meets Ollie who is also applying for the same job. They both get it and at first Fran thinks Ollie is not that great. Over time, they become the best of friends and are even dubbed as work spouses. However, they both already have partners. During a Christmas party, Ollie tells Fran that he thinks about her a lot and they share a very passionate kiss which leaves Fran wondering. Unfortunately, Fran has a terrible break up. She starts a blog where she goes on dates and writes about then anonymously. This goes on for some time and then Ollie drops the balm saying he is going on a world adventure with his girlfriend which leave Fran feeling sadder than ever.

This was a cute story. I liked the plot line. I wish there would have been more steam in the book. Overall, a cute read

Swipe Right is told from Fran's perspective, who begins working at a media content agency at the same time as Ollie. They start off butting heads but quickly become each other's work wife/husband. Both in relationships (at the beginning, anyway...), the book's description mentions that Fran starts an anonymous dating column and Ollie takes off overseas. However, this doesn't happen until halfway into the book, so I personally found the whole rude boyfriend part at the beginning monotonous and was impatiently waiting for her to dump him already! Nevertheless, Swipe Right resurrected itself in my eyes as it features a stellar selection of supporting characters and some interesting dating stories, I recommend it if you're looking for an easy-to-read romance novel.

I really loved this book. Something very different to what I thought it might be and in a good way. I loved all the characters and their extended family and friends. I loved the the lead female was not a pushover by some billionaire into all his fantasies, but lived and mapped her own life.

Ah what a fabulous story featuring likeable characters that you are willing to get together. I must admit I didn't actually understand what job they did... When Fran started her anonymous dating column the pace of the novel really heated up and it was full steam ahead from there. Will they or wont they? You'll have to read it to find out.

This has been the absolute perfect escape read for me. I have absolutely loved this one so much that I have devoured the entire book in just an hour.
This has been an extremely fun read and I have loved it. This is just a perfect and delightful read. I feel like I was able to make an instant connection with the characters involved and they are extremely real. 
The work environment described sounds absolutely brilliant, I have loved this one. The spark between Ollie and Fran has been apparent since the very first moment. The story flowed nicely throughout this and the author is definitely fantastic because I had no desire to return to normality until I had finished this book. 
Without a doubt a five star read, I'm sure other book lovers will love this story as much as I have. I will definitely be shouting about this one.
