First of all, you need to read the previous two books, otherwise this will not make sense. That’s one of the many reasons I liked this book – it doesn’t waste time filling in what has happened previously and you are launched straight into the story. This is a genre-defying book, and made me laugh, cover my eyes and feel anger all within a short space of time. The book is great fun and a must-read if you have read and loved any of Marilyn Messik’s other books

A very entertaining read and a great addition to the series. Stella and David have tied the knot with Stella promising to rein in her activities of the strangest kind although from the very beginning it looks doubtful that she will be able to keep her promise. I'm of a similar age to Stella!!! and so can relate to the changing times in the books which is an added bonus for me. I loved it and can't wait to find out what's in store for these loveable quirky characters.

I absolutely love this series - one of my absolute favourites, and as I keep saying, it seems to have been written just for me!

We catch up with Stella, who is now married, living in Edgware with her husband, and with a baby on the way. Her business is flourishing and that along with everything else you would think would ensure she was too busy to get into any trouble - fortunately you would be wrong!

One of her staff is being 'moulded' by a controlling husband, and Stella feels the need to keep an eye on this situation, but rather more disturbing is the feeling that her old friend Ruth is being controlled too but by a much more malevolent source. Stella is implored to keep out of situations for her own protection and those of her baby - but fortunately Stella is just not a girl to listen.

I read this book in a couple of days because I just couldn't put it down. It made me giggle, gasp, and desperately long for more. If you read nothing else this year, read this series. Amazing!

I had such a hard time with this book at first, until I found out it's actually the third book in a series! This book cannot stand alone; I had to go back and get the first two books in order for this one to make sense. I did this gladly, because this book is actually pretty good!

It's obvious the author is British, because she uses words like "whilst" instead of "while," which I didn't really like. It makes the book sound more haughty than it needs to. The author uses commas in places where other, better punctuation marks should be. This seems like something a proofreader should have caught before its being sent to the publisher. This makes me think the book was not proofread by a professional. I actually noticed all three books had these same errors. The weird use of commas actually makes this book seem stilted; I tend to read in my head like I'm reading out loud, so when a comma, or a pause, comes out of nowhere, my head hurts a little bit.

I'm not a fan of the fact that I didn't know this book was the 3rd in a series. Once I found out, I made the decision to go back and read the first 2 before finishing this one. I'm hoping that allows this book to make more sense. I did notice that once I read the first book, I was able to go back and read the third book, and have it make more sense.

I love the humor in this book!

This book is written in first person, and she has an excellent way of finding humor in odd situations. I like that. The main character, Stella, is very well-written. She's relatable to the reader, because she never tries to sound better than she is. As she states in book 1, she's not better, just different. Her parents accepted her abilities to a point, and this feeling of acceptance helped Stella grow up into a well-balanced young lady. Her husband, while not as accepting of some of Stella's abilities, doesn't try to control her into not using them.

I did find that once I finished the first book in the series, this one made more sense to me. I still plan on going back and reading book number two, but I wanted to get my review of this book done before I did that. I didn't want my opinion of this book to be colored too much by the other two stories. This book is a completely different story, but some of the facts build on one another, so unless the reader is aware of the stories in the other two books, this one won't make much sense.

I'm not sure about the timeline of this book, because the author makes it sound like this book is set in modern times, but the main character was born in the early 50's, and some odd 25 years later gets married and pregnant. I have no idea how old Stella is, so this seems a little incongruent to me. I wish this timeline was a little more solid in my mind. Maybe the other 2 books will help ease this discomfort.

I give this book 3.5 stars out of 5. Not because this book isn't good, but because it had so many proofreading errors (including spaces between letters in words, which is weird), and that made it hard to truly enjoy. The character Stella is relatable, and very well written. Even the supporting characters are written so well that I really feel like they're people. I just had such a hard time getting past the grammatical errors.

Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the eARC.
This 3rd in the series is another treat by Ms. Messik; thoroughly enjoyable, good stuff to take you out of yourself in these uncertain times.
Stella is a great character and now that she's married with a baby and running her successful business, you'd think that would be enough on her plate and it is...until it isn't! I'm glad I read the previous book, because it made a complicated plot quite easy to follow. I loved reconnecting with the characters and had quite a few chuckles (as well as a few chilling moments)...the mix of the paranormal with the humor and the excellent writing makes for a must-read. Definitely recommended!

Stella is one of my favourite characters so I was eagerly anticipating this book coming out, and I was not disappointed. As usual this is a genre bending .mind boggling, and really funny book to read.It defies description really, I love the writing style, Mrs Messik has the most deliciously warped and funny mind, and I mean that as a compliment. This was action packed as usual with a complex plot that I am not going to give away, and is also true to the times it is set in,its a little trip down memory lane, although most of my memories were never like this ! I am still chuckling at some of the funny descriptions such as the man who put his two fingers up to give Stella a sign we are all familiar with and then somewhat lost control of his steering wheel when she wouldn't allow him to put his hand back I can just imagine this man driving through London giving the v sign to all and sundry ! Loved reading this book, it was funny creative and a cracking read.I really recommend it.
