This book really captured the essence of Beast Boy, funny, quirky, and filled with animals! It was a quick read perfect for all audiences. I loved that it dealt with male body image as that is a topic rarely talked about. It is clear that the authors really understood and love Gar as a character, populating his origin with great friends and family. The one critic I would say is that some scenes seemed to be inserted at random points and than cut out. It might be a layout issue or easy fix!

Not gonna lie, I liked this waaaaay more than the Raven title that came out. Flowed better and had more characters I could relate to and root for.

This is the second graphic novel in Kami Garcia's series and I honestly can't wait for the next installment. Be prepared for a cliffhanger once again. I love origin stories and Garcia is doing a great job with these. I can't wait to see where the Teen Titans ends up. I also have to point out the great artwork.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC.

Teen Titans: Beast Boy is a graphic novel by Kami Garica and Gabriel Picolo, set in the DC comic universe. This is the second book by both in this series and I really have to go back and read the first book, which is about Raven. This origin story for Beast Boy has a great plot and some awesome art, I can't wait to read the next one.

I was provided with an electronic ARC through NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Teen Titans: Beast Boy is the second graphic novel in the series. This book focuses on Garfield "Gar" Logan, the green shapeshifter. Gar is tired of being the short and scrawny kid. The kid who is picked last for everything. After doing some research, Gar decides to stop taking the supplements his parents give him each day. Overnight, he has a huge growth spurt and gains more confidence. Gar realizes that there is more to him than he knows. This story will appeal to many readers. I can't wait to read more of this series.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this title.

I loved this Beast Boy graphic novel. Can't wait to add it to our fall book order. I hope there are sequels to Raven & Beast Boy, as well.
Thanks for the eARC!

17 year old Garfield "Gar" Logan is sick and tired of being short, scrawny, overlooked, and only good for jokes. When he finds out that the supplements he takes affect his pituitary gland, he takes a risk and stops taking them. Overnight, he grows six inches, his voice deepens, and his muscles are huge, and a few not-so-well-thought-out stunts launch him into the school's "It" crowd. Gar is thrilled, but quickly things stop being everything he dreamed of. He can see exceptionally well in the dark, animals love him, and his skin feels tight. Soon, he finds himself transforming into animals--but why? How did it happen? And what does it mean for his future?

The second in the Teen Titans Graphic Novel series by Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo focuses on everyone's favorite green shapeshifter, Beast Boy himself! Readers who grew up with the "Teen Titans" cartoons will love this new backstory for Beast Boy, and newcomers to the series will enjoy this introduction to this beloved character.
