Thank you so much to net galley for sending me a copy of this book. I read the girl in 6e when it came out and loved it. This book was so dull compared to that. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t the kind of book I thought it would be. And there was Essentially not mystery

I found this to be an enjoyable read, keeping me on my toes throughout. The storyline was written well and flowed seamlessly. I look forward to reading more by this author!

If you are up for a bit of malarkey (okay, so a lot of malarkey), I think you might love this book – I know I did. Now, for a little atmospheric music – close your eyes and “hear” or hum to yourself the opening instrumental theme from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and jump in for some fun…
Catherine and William Winthorpe are the center of the universe in their exclusive community. William is the handsomest, richest, and most influential man in Atherton. He adores his wife, Catherine (Cat), who owns 50% of their business holdings, sits on the Board of the most important philanthropic organizations, and wields 100% control over William’s heart and soul (or does she?). Cat and William are a team. Enter new employee Neena and husband Matt Ryder and the formula starts to bubble. Neena has her eye on the prize, she wants everything that Cat has, and she knows the Cat is no match for her!
Apparently, women need to have it all. Rich is not rich enough, perfect boobs are not perfect enough, adoring husband is not as adoring as the neighbor’s adoring husband – you get it don’t you? Every poor girl’s dream is to be beautiful and to catch the eye of a prince or in this case, capture the eye and heart of a handsome gazillionaire (WW). Perish the poor fool who attempts to stand in her way.
Now, as any woman will explain, in order to get it all, you have to be cunning, and in order to keep it all, you have to be more cunning still. From Chapter One you will rubbing your hands together and smacking your lips observing the hilarious and less than hilarious antics of Cat and Neena, and they set about besting each other with greater and greater intensity. Who will end up with the prize gazillionaire (William Winthorpe)?
These two highly talented women deftly ply their skills at subterfuge, poison, seduction, attempted murder, forgery, you name it... Apparently, men can’t keep their pants zipped, so they are easy prey for conniving women
I usually steer clear of books with this theme but every now and then, an author pitches it to perfection. Such is the case with Torre’s Every Last Secret. I found the book hugely entertaining and amusing.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer for an ARC of this book which took me way too long to finally read and review. I loved it!

Great book. Highly recommend and will most defiantly read more by this author and suggest to others!

Overall, a solid domestic thriller. I liked that both the women this book centered around were smart and calculating, but ultimately one of them was a step ahead of the other and won by the end. This isn’t the most original/innovative domestic thriller, but it was well paced and kept me engaged the whole time.

I really wanted to love this one, but I found it to be too unbelievable. Matt and Neena move into a rich neighborhood and right next door to William and Cat. Cat has everything Neena wished she had: diamonds, servants, a gorgeous home, William. From the get-go Neena set out to get everything Cat had. Cat's response to all of the things that Neena did were too unbelievable to me. I didn't buy it for one minute that all the responses Cat had to the things she knew would ever happen, therefore I didn't find her to be realistic. I didn't like a single one of the characters...at all. Neena was too self-centered, Cat was way too fake, William was nothing like he portrayed himself to be, and Matt was (hate to say this) a shell of a man. I will say that in some ways the characters redeemed themselves a little in the end but not enough for me to change my mind.
I'd like to thank NetGalley and Thomas and Mercer for an e-ARC of this book in exchange for my opinion.

Before I even get started let me say that I generally loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove Torre’s books. I love her when she’s Alessandra writing romances and I love her when she’s A.R. going batshit. I think I’ve read around ten of her books and they’ve all been winners. She even wrote about a love triangle (not normally my jam) that made my underwears melt off. I’m just putting all this out here so y’all know she’s a go-to gal for me. So what happened here? I’m going to go ahead and turn it back on NetGalley . . . .

Yep. If you didn’t have so many neighborhood stabbies up for me to request then maybe I wouldn’t be starting to compare them to each other. Oh and library???? You aren’t blameless here either!
The story here is about married couple Cat and William and the new employee/neighbor Neena who starts trying to interject herself a little too much into the couples’ lives. It’s nothing that hasn’t been written before and although the ending was satisfying, the rest of the story was pretty meh. Cardboard cutouts and caricatures aren’t something I’m used to with this author so the disappointment is real. Luckily I just read The Good Lie by her earlier this year and that sucker was G.O.O.D. so go check that one out if you’re looking for some murdery good times.

This was such a surprise! I loved it! I loved the characters and how absolutely crazy they all were. I ate up the wealth and glamour of Cat and William’s lives. I loved how we got two viewpoints and what was happening in them. I enjoyed reading this so much!

This was a very entertaining book, and I can't wait for the next one! I was gripped from beginning to end, and didn't see any twists coming. Recommended.

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the opportunity to read and provide an honest review.
First I’ll start off with the book cover not really matching much, if any, of the story. But don’t let that deter you, it’s a good story that I could barely put down and finished in a day. The characters were interesting and insufferable as needed to move the story forward. The overall plot wasn’t something new but it was interesting and curious how it would end. I would definitely recommend this book for others and may have also purchased my own copy :).

3.5 quick easy read. I did see the ending coming and wish there was a bit more substance but an overall satisfying one sitting read!

I love Alessandra Torre’s books and her suspense ones never disappoint! This book enraptured me from the very beginning. I was curious and intrigued and my brain couldn’t stop overthinking everything. Loved the MFC! She is strong and fierce and nothing is as it appears to be. The plot and the characters are complex, and you can’t help but guess who’s who and what they are thinking. Loved the different POVs which helped build the tension.
Totally recommend this book and the author!

This book did not disappoint! It had me hooked from the start. The characters were well developed. I can't say that I loved them all. But they were all needed to make this a thoroughly enjoyable psychological thriller.

Cat Winthorpe is at the heart of her gated community's social circle, she owns the largest home there, and her husband is the handsome and devoted man all the other females swoon over. She lives a blessed life, far removed from her humble upbringing.
Neena Ryder is new to town and seeks to emulate the wealth and poise the other ladies in this society possess. She also wants far more from one of them in particular. Cat has the life she wants, which comes complete with the husband of her desires.
Whilst the mysteries initially bumbled quietly in the background I became enamoured with the insights to this life of privilege. I was even more captivated by the steps these individuals took to gain it. Pride and envy were the predominant sins of the individuals inside this twisted story, but their crimes soon became far more serious and too numerous to name here.
It wasn't until the second-half of this novel when events became more sinister and my intrigue was heightened even more. Past secrets were shockingly revealed and events accumulated until I had cast my suspicions on all members of the central cast. None could be trusted and Torre led her readers to an epilogue that ensured this thriller ended on a less shocking but more human conclusion than I had anticipated.

I've been reading a lot of thrillers lately, some of which I have not finished because they are so alike. Every Last Secret, however, had me hooked from the first couple of chapters. I absolutely loved A.R. Torre's writing style. Toward the end, though I did figure out whodunit, it still held my attention, and this was a satisfying read.

I read this novel last year and while I don't remember too much about it anymore, I remember I had an overall favorable impression of it.

Cat and William are a happy, wealthy and respected couple. And then they meet the new neighbors: Neena and Matt. Neena is a new employee at William's firm and she and her husband are definitely not as wealthy and respected as Cat and William. So Neena wants what Cat has and she can get it all if she can manage to get William. So begins a war between these two women and you will have to read the book to find out who is going to win.
I liked this a lot. I knew I would, I've liked everything I've read from A.R.Torre before. From the prologue I was intrigued: a woman calls 911 to report about an attack on her husband and she yawns while doing that. I mean, that's harsh. And it immediately picked my interest. The pacing was great. I've read this in one sitting and I was reading at work again lol. The characters are the best part of the book. Twisted women trying to destroy each other, two very unlikable vipers at war. And that is my only issue I have with this book: it was about two women hating each other and I am just not about that. Don't get me wrong, it was highly entertaining to read but still felt a bit uncomfortable, I prefer stories of female friendship, not war. But other than that it was a great fast-paced book and I would definitely recommend it.

Enjoyed this one. I felt like there was something missing though, something I needed to love it. Well thought out plot and easy to read.

This book was such a page turner. The author has a way of taking characters that aren't very likable and digging into their psyche in a way that makes you want to know more about them, good or bad. She did a great job of crafting the psychological aspect of this psychological thriller. I read it in a flash, wanting to know what would happen, and the ending was a satisfying blend of justice, redemption and compassion. This is now my favorite book by Torre.

Reading this was like watching a train wreck, I couldn’t look away. The characters weren’t very likeable but that is ok. I kept flipping pages and couldn’t wait to see what happened next. The plot was well written and drew me in from the first.
