Thank you to the author, Thomas & Mercer and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This domestic thriller with lots of mind games, and even more casual flaunting of obscene wealth, was a quick read. Engrossing, if rather foreseeable - a guilty pleasure, but not one I would want to indulge more than every once in a great while, as the look into this world left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth and all the characters were intensely dislikeable. Too many people in the real world are struggling mightily to even remotely get by, for me to be able to really relax into reading about this world of great privilege, which seems to be unthinkingly taken for granted by the characters - probably true to life, actually, but not something I want to spend much time on myself.

Cat Winthorpe has it all. Money, friends and a husband who worships her. Until one day he hires a woman to troubleshoot the turbulence between the employees and ease tension in the office. Neena may have everyone else fooled, but Cat in on to her. As she feels the life she loves slipping through her fingers she realizes she will have to fight dirty and with every tool she poses, for she will not loose. Neena thinks she has the upper hand and savors every minute of her hostile take over of everything Cat has. May the best woman win! It's going to blow your mind!

Cat and Neena—caught up in a toxic battle driven by jealousy. Through rivaling chapters, the frenemies vie for perfection and the opportunity to outdo one another. Neither woman exactly likeable characters but that what made it fun.

The atmosphere was tense, the way the two women treat each other and the way they go about their vendettas is extremely entertaining. The fact is, neither of them are someone you’d personally want in your circle of friends, but I have to say there is one I was clearly rooting.

I have read The girl in 6E trilogy by this author and I just love her writing, i think the storyline even though nothing new was made different and fresh by the writing of A.R Torre.

The plot is fast paced and fun, keeping you turning the pages to find out what rotten thing the women will do next! A.R Torre takes plotting to a whole new level, everything is leading to something and it all wraps up leaving you with a lot of feelings by the end.

I really enjoyed this which I was expecting, I’m slowly making my way through A.R Torre/ Alessandra Torres book and this one did not disappoint, so grateful I got the chance to read it through NetGalley.

This is a good book for book clubs. It's basic premise - two women, one man. One wants what the other has. It's ripe for discussion of how far will you go to get what you want. And....wellllll......this book goes there.

Nothing groundbreaking, but still a delicious little thriller.

Jealousy is really a very bad trait to have, it can make people do horrible things and this story delivers not only that but more. This story is twisted, stressful (in a good way) and thrilling. A must read!

This book is perfect for the wife who has been cheated on. This book is perfect if you are a husband who is tempted to cheat. This book is perfect for the "other woman" who is tempted to try and steal someone's husband. Fast action, very well done
Welcome to the neighborhood. Watch your husband, watch your friends, and watch your back.

Cat Winthorpe has worked hard to get what she has: a gorgeous home; social standing; and William, her successful, handsome husband. Then a friendly new couple moves into the estate next door. While cautious, a good neighbor like Cat greets them with open arms and warm hospitality.

Neena Ryder isn’t a fellow lady of leisure. A life coach with off-the-rack dresses, personal issues, and a husband who hasn’t delivered, she’s anxious to move up in the world. This beautiful new town is a step in the right direction. It’s also making Neena aware of what she doesn’t have. Namely, William. When Neena’s infatuation escalates into obsession, it’s just a matter of eliminating a few obstacles to get the life she wants. The life next door.

As Neena’s secret fixation grows, so does her friendship with Cat. But beneath their cordial interactions is a wealth of temptations, secrets, and toxic jealousy. For both women, the desire for a perfect life can turn perfectly dangerous.

Ding, ding, ding!

We finally have a winner, friends! I feel like downing a shot of vodka, turning up the music, and doing a strip tease around the house in celebration. Well, maybe we'll just leave it at the shot and music, yes?

Alessandra Torre knocked this one out of the park. Historically, she's been a consistently good author for me, so I had high hopes for Every Last Secret. It didn't disappoint. Two women, both hardcore, and only one can come out on top--it was epic. And so incredibly satisfying.

At last, I'm so damn excited to recommend this book!

Available December 1, 2020.

My ecstatic appreciation for the excellent ARC goes to Thomas & Mercer and NetGalley.

Loved it. Read it in one sitting. I did want to slap every single character but I still enjoyed it. I am team Cat all the way! Has some twists that were a little predictable but nothing too bad! Looks like I need to go check out more of this authors work.

I love when Alessandra writes a psychological thriller because she’s great at it! It only took a few chapters and I was sucked in to the point I couldn’t put it down.

Money, jealousy, envy & lust were just a few words I would use to describe this book. The main characters were easy to have a love hate relationship with. Neena, I was not a fan of. But there was a moment or two where I felt a bit sorry for her. Cat wasn’t much better, but at least she was smart and used it to her advantage. William I just wanted to knock some sense into. He took advantage of his marriage and honestly didn’t deserve Cat. And poor poor Matt, I just felt sorry for him. He was lacking a backbone and common sense. But I still felt sorry for the guy.

Overall the story was intriguing and all the characters made and interesting read. I’m a huge fan of Alessandra’s writing and Every Last Secret did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend it if you’re a fan of this genre.

3.5 stars

As the title suggests, this is very much a novel about secrets, and wow. These characters have *many* to share (or keep to themselves). The good news is that the reader - over time - is in on all of them.

Torre explains in an author's note that this is a novel for folks who in some fashion understand cheating. While cheating - along with the rage, distrust, uncertainty, and unexpected actions it might provoke - are central to this work, the more arresting part is the portrayal of the characters. Each of these characters is monstrous. They're also - in most cases - possible to feel sorry for, to empathize with, and to understand. To be clear, there are major exceptions to these sentiments, but I'll admit to having made strong judgements against some and easing up on those over time.

The use of perspective is ideal for the format: revealing secrets. While the characters may be in the dark at critical moments, the best part of reading this is the process of illumination.

Readers must suspend disbelief. This does read more like a soap opera than contemporary realism, but it's an entertaining ride.

I received an ARC copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. This book did nothing for me. I felt like it was the typical story of a rich married couple and a new neighbor moves in next door and is so jealous of this person and wants her life.

The ultimate suspense of the year! How well do you know your neighbors? You’ll think twice about dinners and parties. Cat and William have lived a privileged life in Atherton, wealthy community south of SF, and own numerous businesses. Neena and Mark are also successful, with her doctorate degree and his demolition company, however there is just something off about then. Since Neena and William work together these neighbors cannot avoid each other. Trust runs deep in both marriages until it gets tested. Their story will have your mind twisting and second guessing your own relationships, told from the POV of both women see if you can catch the clues. I was the recipient of an early copy from Netgalley and wrote my review voluntarily.

It's been a crazy year for books ( and people). I didn't realize the release date had changed for Every Last Secret. Anyway, I very much appreciate getting approved for an arc although I did end up DNFing pretty early on.

🛑 SPOILER ALERT 🛑

I love drama. Every Last Secret is filled to the brim with it. And the writing is engaging. What I don't love is cheating. I have absolutely no desire to read about it.

I will be keeping an eye out for A.R. Torre's future work.

Cat and William live the life of luxury and wealth. He owns a company and she tends to the house and social events. So when Neena and her husband move in next door, Cat is initially more than welcoming. But Neena is conniving and will stop at nothing to get what Cat has, including William. Cat is on to her and will do what it takes to keep her perfect life.

Full of secrets, greed and raw emotion. The author did an excellent job setting up the plot and then turning it upside down. A binge worthy read!

OH MY GOODNESS!! What a book and what a TWIST! OH MY GOODNESS! I cant stop saying that!.

Ok lets get to the point here, So Cat and William have it made, they live an in amazing neighborhood, they have huge social standing, and they are rich, Cat has the life that everyone will want, and a handsome husband to match as well.

Neena and Matt move in next door, and this doesn't really bother Cat until she meets Neena and she has a feeling that this woman is very different, and also a new employee at her husbands new start up company.

Neena is loving this new life that her husband Matt is giving her, but she wants more, and by more she wants her neighbors husband William. Not only is she working in the new start up but she is doing everything possible to not be too obvious, but to get closer and closer to William. she almost does, and she thinks she has this all planned out, but there is a twist and this twist is CRAZY! BAT SH*T CRAZY! (excuse my french)

Not only does Neena think that she has everything planned out, instead of her looking after her own marriage and her own life, she was looking at someone she wasn’t supposed to be looking at, and there was someone in plain sight that she should’ve kept an even closer eye to.

This book is FULL of secrets, left and right, right when you thought it was over, right when you thought you knew who “did it,” you were SOOOO WRONG! OMG this book was AWESOME!

Thanks Netgalley, the publishers, and the author for allowing me to read this great book.

This is a great book to read to escape reality. Very compulsive story writing - I really loved the style. While I’ve read books with a similar storyline in the past, I really enjoyed this book.

I would like to thank NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

2 couples. 1 story. 1 game. How can you win the game when you don't know who else is playing?

I love a good, unique psychological thriller that pulls me in and leaves me breathless or with my heart pounding with every twist. I was super excited to see that A.R. Torre was going to give us another one. It's been a bit. Every Last Secret was not original, but the pacing and writing was great. The characters kept each other on their toes and beat for beat, the book worked.

Matt and Neena move into their new neighborhood and soon befriend their neighbors, Cat and William who just 'happens' to be Neena's new employer. Matt and Neena don't come from much, but as Neena succeeds and gets what she wants, she continues to look for more and more. Matt adores Neena, but at what price? Meanwhile Cat and William have the picture perfect life. Perfect home. Vacation home. Successful business. The best parties. Members of all the right clubs. But something is missing from this side of perfect. And Neena is going to infiltrate it.

While I was reading this book, I realized I really didn't like any of the characters. The women were in control of this story and the men? Well...You'll see. Let's just say they aren't perfect. But that didn't stop me from wanting more of the book and to see what would happen next. This story is told from Neena and Cat's POVs and these women have plans. Those plans are what kept me invested. Because, let's be real, 2 couples that live next door to each other isn't new or original when it comes to the psychological thriller genre. But, with the witty writing and the way these characters interacted, I was still interested in the story and what was going to happen next.

Overall, the story wasn't super unique or original, but like I've already said, the writing was on point and the story was paced and plotted well. I didn't particular care for the characters, but I enjoyed their backhanded friendship and the outright cattiness. But what did it for me was the twists that came in towards the end. It made me give a little more credit where credit was due.

"There's no point in tempting fate. Not if you can eliminate the potential risks."

What a page turner! I could not put this one down! Every Last Secret takes you on a wild ride of jealousy, seduction and ultimately, revenge., within the socially desirable location of an exclusive gated community in Atherton, California. I definitely recommend this one!

Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas and Mercer Publishing for my Advance Reader’s Copy in exchange for my honest review.

Whew! This book is a great cat and mouse story. Only problem, who’s the cat and who’s the mouse? Cat and Neena are women who both want wealth, social standing and William, Cats husband. How far will each woman go to get there is pretty amusing AND jaw dropping! Told from each woman’s point of view, it’s a twisty ride with secrets in every corner. Couldn’t put it down! I’ve never read anything by this author but now that I have, she DEFINITELY has my attention!
