Just beautiful!! I fell so deeply in love with the love itself between Kyle and Marley. The growth they brought out in each other was excellent. Loss is a major life changing event, and at such a young age, it’s understandable that both Marley and Kyle would have complicated issues coming away from those events. The open approach taken toward loss and the struggle to become whole again afterwards was wonderfully done in this story. Multiple occasions of loss, all at different levels, but done in a way that was both delicate and raw at the same time. I just loved it. 5/5 for me.
Firstly I just have to say that the cover for this book is just gorgeous! I liked this book, but not as much as Five Feet Apart. If you're looking for a sweet but sad romance then I definitely recommend it.
Happy #bookbirthday to #AllThisTime 💜
#bookreview ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I've been shying away from YA books lately but I'm glad I took a chance on this one because I ended up really enjoying it. I thought the storyline was compelling and a lot of times I couldn't put it down. I was a little disappointed of the last 1/4 of the book, it felt a little flat compared to the strong start of the book but overall it was a good read and would definitely recommend checking it out!

Thank you "Simon & Schuster Canada" and Netgalley for sending me an ARC of "All This Time" in exchange for an honest review.
First of all, I'd pick this book based on its cover design only. How gorgeous it is!
My second book by the authors "Mikki Daughtry and Rachael Lippincott" after "Five Feet Apart". Without trying to compare both the books, I was expecting teen romance and a bucket full of emotions. Well, I wasn't wrong.
I was slowly making my way through the plot and getting to know the psyche of the main characters. Suddenly, the book gave a surprising twist and I ended up finishing it in a single sitting. It is a fairy tale kind of love story but it also makes you believe in your dreams and true love. It is written from a heart which believes that true love exists even in the most unrealistic circumstances.
The ending seems forced to me to make it a "happy ending". I also found it creepy at times to approach a girl multiple times when she is not interested.
Overall, it is a compelling piece of fiction which also deals with depression and opening-up to someone about your feelings.
If you love reading YA romance with perfect "happy endings", grab this book. It is out for sale on September 29, 2020.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC!
This book is beautiful and it was exactly what I needed.
Kyle is your perfect, athletic, good-guy type of character. But he has issues, and he needs to learn how to handle them and hopefully gain his independence in life. His flaws are relatable, his inner turmoil is relatable even if you've never lost yourself or someone in some deep way.
Marley is beautiful. Shy and cute, it's not uncomfortable or awkward. She's complex, and it is very enjoyable to unravel her. Her story is touching, and I enjoyed both the before and after. She is one of my favourite characters. Ducks. Snails. I love her. She's so precious.
The relationships in this book are very natural. They're not forced, corny, or fake. The dialogue is very authentic. It rings true to people of that age, without having to use any slang that can become outdated. I really liked that, it's important for those things to ring true for readers.
The ending was a roller coaster of emotions and WTF? Was it necessary? Not really. Did I like it? I'm not sure. I liked how everything was tied up, but I'm not sure how I feel with the way we got there.
Overall, with a beautifully tragic story, authentic characters, and a strong will to keep moving forward, never back, this story has something for everyone. I recommend this book, it's light but heavy enough to give you pause.
“Kimberly, her cheeks dotted with little freckles of refracted light, her eyes wide with horror. She opens her mouth to scream, but all I hear is twisting, shrieking metal. Then darkness.”

Kim and Kyle are high school sweethearts. But when Kim breaks up with him on graduation night, their whole world crashes, literally. When he awakes from the car crash, he finds he’s been in a coma from a brain injury, and Kim is dead. He feels lost. That is until he meets Marley, who knows all about loss. As they help each other heal, their feelings begin to grow. But Kyle has a feeling his life is about to come crashing down again. He’s not wrong.
This is my first read by these authors and I was seriously wowed by the original creativity this storyline has. You have to be able to let a story carry you and set a little bit of your practicality to the side. If you can do that, you will fall in love with this story.
The opening chapter alone will draw you in. Then you go on a journey of loss, love and self discovery with Kyle that is full of so many young emotions. It will take unexpected turns you didn’t see coming. And leave you with a warm heart. The characters are quite likeable and unique. Imperfect and I liked that. It has a fairytale feel that you don’t want to miss!
I was graciously provided with this ARC for my honest review.
All This Time follows Kyle who is in a car accident with his girlfriend, Kimberly, while she is breaking up with him. Kyle survives the crash but Kimberly doesn’t. Kyle has to figure out how to move on from this and we follow as he learns how to heal, and as he meets Marley. I enjoyed following along with Kyle and Marley’s romance. Around 70% this book completely changes and at that point I was hooked and couldn’t put the book down until it was finished. It didn’t make me cry the way Five Feet Apart did, but I definitely teared up a couple of times, and I really ended up liking the story and rooting for Kyle and Marley! Thanks to Netgalley and Simon & Schuster Canada for this e-arc!
This was a great read. The representation of mental illness and dealing with loss is really important especially in YA and I appreciated how everything was presented in this book. It definitely made me cry and the rebirth and rebuilding that happened in this book honestly are what I'm here for. A solid read, I really enjoyed this one. That being said do I wish that maybe it was a little less love at first sight and we got to build up the relationship a bit more realistically for sure, however overall I did enjoy this book and found it a nice easy read to get through.
Sometimes all we need is someone to lend an ear and listen to our fairy tales. Sometimes fairy tales do come true but not without a whole lot of heartache and grief.
Kyle has the perfect life. He has a beautiful girlfriend, it is graduation night, they're going off to college together. What more could he want? Kyle figures out a big secret Kim has kept from him. They argue, she breaks up with him, flashing lights, Kim screaming and then darkness. When he comes to he's in the hospital and Kim is dead. How can he ever move on from her and the grief.
Kyle crosses paths with a girl named Marley. He feels that she may understand him more than anyone else. That maybe through all their grief that with time maybe they can start to heal together.
But things are not exactly as they seem and soon this world that seems to be leading them in the right direction comes crashing down and all the pieces are once again scattered but maybe this time they will not fit back together.
This book was pure brilliance!! Yes there were a lot of twists and turns in this book, some would say it was too many and overdone. I say not at all. I loved how all the threads of the story had so many twists but in the end they all wove together in this fabulous story of timeless love.
Sometimes a song just fits with a book and I love when that happens. Whats not to love right; books and music. My song for All This Time is Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper. This part just fits so perfectly with ATT. **I do not own rights for these lyrics**
If you're lost you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting
Time after time
**Thank you NetGalley and Simon and Schuster Canada for the ARC. All statements are my own personal opinions on this book**
This book is constantly compared to Five Feet Apart. Well, I didn't read that, so I'd can't say if it is the same, better, or worse.
First off, I must point out the creative cover. A couple apart. Together. The hour glass of time... Brilliant.
Now, the story. It's filed as contemporary Young Adult and it's a perfect fit for this genre. The story moves very quickly and it is a fairly easy read. The main character Kyle starts has a long term girlfriend Kimberly and their relationship is quite believable with their small potatoes fights. Then Kimberly suddenly breaks up with him. There is a car crash where he ends up with a brain injury and she is dead. See? Moves quick.
As Kyle mourns he meets Marley who has her own pain. They help each other move along while growing their own connection. Okay, they fall madly in love. Meanwhile Kyle has a feeling he's headed for the biggest crash of his life.
At times, I was frustrated with the timelines jumping around. Near the end, it all made sense. Overall, this is a solid YA read I recommend. Thank you Netgalley and Simon Schuster for my review copy.
All This Time is my first book by these authors. It is an emotional Young Adult contemporary romance.
The narrator is 18 year old Kyle (1st person POV).
Kyle, Sam (guy) and Kim are best friends. They are graduating high school and the night of their celebration something happens. The first chapter had so much happening. I'm honestly not sure if I have ever read a beginning of a book where more happened.
It is pretty unusual for me to read a YA book that only features the male POV. But it was an interesting change.
I'm a bit unsure how to rate this book. The first half was maybe 3 stars. There was nothing wrong with it. But it was just basically a teenage boy who was dealing with a lot of things.
The second half of the book was much stronger for me. I love books that are unpredictable. And the second half of All This Time was quite amazing.
There is a girl in this book, Marley, and I found everything about her to be fascinating. I really like how the authors incorporated her in this book.
There was much to like about this book. I enjoyed the friendships. I enjoyed the relationships. And I enjoyed that I thought that the book was going in one direction ... and then it went in a completely different direction. I could not turn the pages fast enough for the second half of this book. And I could not wait to see how the book would end.
Since the end of a book is everything for me I decided to go with 4 stars. The last part of the book was very strong. And it left me thinking about the ending.
Just finished reading ALL THIS TIME by Mikki Daughtry & Rachael Lippincott. I received this ARC from Simon & Schuster Canada via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Official publication date is September 29th, 2020.
This is a tear jerker 😭. I've never been one to get all sad and mopey while reading, but this one definitely got to me at a few parts. You've been warned!
Kyle and Kimberly are your perfect high school couple. Except on graduation night when Kyle’s life is flipped upside-down. Kimberly decides to end their relationship, they get caught in a terrible car crash, Kyle suffers a brain injury, and wakes up to find out Kimberly didn't make it... No one in his life understands.
Until Marley. Marley is suffering from her own loss. When their paths cross at the cemetery they form an unlikely bond. Someone who finally understands what he is going through. As Kyle and Marley work to heal their wounds, their feelings for each other grow. Just when Kyle thinks everything is back on track and he is moving forward, his life blows up again in the most unexpected way.
This is a story about love, loss and trying to moving on. A cute, sad and heartwarming read that I couldn't put down.
This book started out super heartbreaking. It was so sad and really pulled me in right from the beginning. I loved reading about Marley and Kyle and how they healed each other to help the other move forward after tragedy.
This book had such a sickly sweet ending (but I might argue it was too sweet.. I know. I don’t know how that can be possible.)

Thank you to NetGalley and Simon & Schuster Canada for sending me a free early copy to review!
So if I'm being honest I didn't enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed Five Feet Apart but it was still a decent book, it just didn't have the same emotional impact. The whole plot just felt a little odd and not that realistic to me but I still recommend this one to folks who enjoyed Five Feet Apart or other similar books. Also, the cover is absolutely gorgeous and I'm a sucker for a gorgeous cover so I might still pick this one up. There were also some issues with medical accuracy in this one specifically about the recovery from Femural nail surgery but I only noticed that because I work in x-ray and we help with femoral nail surgery and do follow up imaging for patients so I know more than the average person about the topic.
You can pick up All This Time on September 29th, 2020!
TW/CW serious bodily injury, death of significant other and aftermath, underage drinking, depression, anxiety
I had to take time to process this book!
Kim and Kyle seemed like the perfect high school couple, until he is “blind sided” when he finds out she wont actually be going to their planned college. AND by her breaking up with him on the night of their graduation. During this conversation another car hits them. Killing Kim and leaving Kyle with a broken leg and brain injury. Then he meets Marley. She has dealt with her own loss. They become friends and help each other deal with their losses. But is all really as it seems?
I thought this twist to this book was so predictable when I was reading it, then thats not what the twist really was. The authors really play with our minds and hearts with this one! I found the point where we “knew” the twist got a little long and frustrating. But the ending was so good I could not put it down! Kim goes from high school prom queen, a little annoying to a saint at the end. Marley is so sad, sweet and real. There is so much growth with Kyle through the book.
I will definitely be recommending this book to friends!
Thank you to Simon & Schuster Canada for providing me with an eARC of this novel via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Ahhhh I am so torn about this novel. It started out strong. Being a paramedic who shows up to these kinds of accidents all the time I often wonder what people were thinking or doing or saying immediately before the crash. I think it affected me on a different level because of what I have seen and experienced at work. It was a suckerpunch to my heart to read Kyle and Kim's story and the grief and suffering they went through. I was hooked and in tears from the beginning. The more the novel progressed, however, the more bizarre the narrative became. There were so many "twists" that weren't really twists that it turned cliché and predictable after a while. I was frustrated by the back and forth of the plot, and the repeated promise of a sweet happy ending that was immediately retracted and then dangled in front of the reader again. It was equal parts tragic and annoying as all hell to think things were going well only to have another unimaginable horror unfold. Ugh. Don't play with my heart like that. I don't like it.
Wow, absolutely wow. Do not read this book if you don’t want to cry your eyes out. You need a good cry in your life? This is the book for you. Puts John Green books on a scale of 1-10 at like a 4, whereas All This Time is near an 8-9.
I don’t normally read contemporary, and when I do it’s usually something fluffy but more along the lines of Nicolas sparks and John Green. Get all the feels out for a while and then back to the normal reading genre.
It’s not just the story for this book that captivated me. It was the writing as well, it’s just so easy to follow. I read this book as fast as possible through a constant stream of tears.
I read this book in all of one day because I couldn’t help myself. There are twists and turns you don’t expect, but everything turns out just the way you hope it should.
I was a huge fan of Five Feet Apart and this one definitely lived up to the hype I had for it in my heart. Loved the love story and that twist. OMG! I had a feeling about what was going on but that one even caught me off guard. Highly recommend.
Kyle and Kimberly have been dating throughout high school but on their prom night, Kyle faces heartache. Not only does Kimberly break up with him but their car also crashes. Kyle suffers a brain injury and Kimberly is dead. His grief consumes him until he finds Marley. Marley has her own grief and together they pull through the darkest times of their lives.

This book was nothing of what I expected and I say that in a very good way! I was expecting a realistic portrayal of love and loss, however, there were some twists that made it more than the average read. Honestly, I was intrigued from the very first page and I had this feeling that something shocking was going to happen even though I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. When it was revealed, I thought it was brilliant! Also, the characters were so captivating. Kyle and Marley were both being swallowed up by their trauma and guilt, feeling as though life couldn’t go on. Seeing them come alongside each other to facilitate healing and growth was beautiful — their journey was such a pleasure to read. I’d absolutely recommend this one to fans of emotional, contemporary romances. Have your tissues handy and be prepared to shed some tears!
I really enjoyed this one! There was some parts that I wasn't sure about, but it all tied together in the end which I liked. I really liked the plot for this one, and how it was executed. It had me hooked that I couldn't stop reading until I knew what happened, that's when you know you're reading a good book. Also the cover for this one!! I love the style of this cover, and how it's similar to the design for Five Feet Apart. I liked that this was a story about grief. It had good twists in it that kept the story going at a great pace. The two authors of this story did a really good job at writing such a beautiful story.
