Well, that was absolutely refreshing. I am really starting to love this series and am certainly anticipating a third book [and more]. And thankfully, there is only ONE mention of the way Nina [NINE-ah] pronounces her name [this was a little bit of an issue in the first book].
Nina is ready for the town's local Shakespeare's festival - she has scored a coup in being able to house the Shakespeare troupe coming from Atlanta to put on the show "Hamlet" during the festival at her B&B and is happy and ready to welcome them there until they actually show up and are led by her nemesis, Harry Westcott. Needless-to-say, she is less than impressed. But due to all the positive press that the B&B will get from hosting them, she has to let them stay. And as she says, THAT was her first mistake. :-) And after serving the first breakfast of the 10 day stay, one of the actors dies in her garden and from that moment on, Nina and her reluctant side-kick Harry [they decide to put differences aside to solve this WHILST trying to rehearse for Hamlet. In summer. IN GEORGIA. Yeah.] work to solve this murder. Add the awesome police chief, the coroner who is also a preacher AND a funeral director AND all the remaining actors and a reveal that is both entertaining and extremely original , and you have one really good read.

This is the second book in the Georgia B&B mystery series, but can be read as a stand-alone.
NIna, 41, divorced, receives a troupe of Shakespeare actors for the annual festival at her B&B. When the lead actor is found dead in her garden, she is involved in another mystery, which she solves with the help of a man who isn´t necessarily her friend - or is he?
I liked the description of the B&B life as well as of the rehearsals of the company. Good description of characters too, and though a bit slow in the beginning paces along quite well till the exciting end. Loved the setting in the theatre world, and would like to read more of this series.
The only negative spot is Nina´s view on certain kinds of people, which I don´t want to spoil now.
Thanks to Netgalley for a free e-book copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is the second in the series. I am unfamiliar with Shakespeare’s play Cymbeline which the town is named after. Doing a little research, I’m not so sure I would name a town Cymbeline but that isn’t the point of this story.
Harry is back, directing the play for the festival. The troupe is staying at Fleet House. Len, the lead in the play dies before the first performance. Who did it & why and was he the intended victim?
I enjoyed this book and the interaction between Harry, Dr Bishop, and Nina.
I really enjoyed the play within the play.
Bring on the next book.
I received an advanced copy of the book from Netgalley. I am not required to leave a positive review.
Peachy Scream is the 2nd book in the new cozy series " Georgia B&B " by. cozy author Anna Gerard. This is a fun read and I enjoyed this next in series that kept me reading to conclusion. The author has a talent for writing of Southern charm and customs that are endearing to the reader. This is a entertaining cozy series that is very relaxing and fun to read .
Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the opportunity. My review opinion is my own.
In this next in series we return to Protagonist innkeeper Nina Fleet happily running her B&B. She has been fighting off a great nephew of the previous owner who now insist that Nina host a group of actors for the town's Shakespearean festival . He is also fighting her legally for ownership of the house. When a actor with a attitude is murdered Nina finds her new business and herself under suspicion. She must investigate to save her home and her business.
This is a fun read that I enjoyed to conclusion. The sleuth is well crafted to the setting and kept me guessing. I look forward to the next in series.
I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters and it's any interesting story. It's well paced without any slow spots. #Peachy Scream #NetGalley
Peachy Scream by Anna Gerard is the 2nd book in the Georgia B&B Mystery series, and another great addition. Nina is 41 years old and came to Cymbeline, GA where she bought a house, and turn it into a bed and breakfast. The town is hosting the annual Shakespeare festival, and the Shakespearean Troupe is staying at her B&B. Unfortunately Harry Westcott is back and claiming her house belongs to him, he is also the director and staying with the troupe, in her house. When the lead actor is found dead in Nina's formal Shakespeare garden, the sleuthing begins. There is so much going on in this book, I love it, along with all the quirky characters. I can not wait to read the next book in the series. Highly recommend.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This was a quick, fun, light read. I liked meeting the characters and enjoyed both the writing style and the story. I would recommend it to others.
This is the second book in the Georgia B&B mystery series. I did not read the first book in this series and this works well as a standalone, I didn't feel at all lost. That being said, I will be reading the first book. I really enjoyed this book, the plot was great and I loved the setting. I liked the main character Nina and her sort-of partner in sleuthing Harry. I can't wait to see what further adventures come their way. I'm excited to have another cozy series to add to my shelves.
*Disclaimer: I was quite put off by the Nina's reactions to the character of Chris (Christina), I think that it definitely could be a stumbling block for many readers. I considered not reading further after Nina considers the possibility of Chris being trans to be a deception. I'm glad I completed the book but....
Enjoyable read. I will have to go back and find the first book in the series. I like a good cozy mystery. I was surprised the killer fell for the rouse but you never know. I will continue to read this series.
Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
Peachy Scream is a fun book to read on lazy days with slippers on and worries off. Think about a Hallmark Mystery Movie, but put into book form. Nina (pronounced Nine-a) is an amicable host to the reader, introducing us to all the murder suspects as well as side characters in a way that seems like she talking to a close friend. Harry, her maybe antagonist and possibly soon to be love interest, (it's not that type of book), is charming and hard to dislike. We spend most of the book wondering what rabbit he's going to pull out of sleeve to make Nina's life slightly miserable, but in the end, he really just wants to put on a Shakespeare play without anymore of his players dying...
A slow burn mystery that concentrates less on solving the murder and more on the fun along the way, you'll enjoy this book if detailed, character driven stories are your thing.

The second entry in the Georgia B&B Mystery Series is a solid, entertaining mystery involving innkeeper Nina Fleet and a band of amateur Shakespearian actors including the bane of her existence, Harry A. Westcott III, the great nephew of the previous owner of Nina’s house. He’s put his legal fight for the house aside to engage her B&B to house a troupe of actors performing at the town’s Shakespeare festival. Of course, the most obnoxious of the actors turns up dead in a hawthorn bush in the back yard. To protect her b&b’s reputation, Nina investigates and ultimately (with Harry’s help) unmasks the murderer.
The mystery itself is solid and the solution makes sense. I also appreciate that Nina behaves in a logical and realistic manner. I mean, yeah, the coroner told her to keep his findings to herself, and she immediately tells Harry. But most people would probably do that. The story is fun. The characters are engaging. And it’s a fun read for a hot summer afternoon with a big ole glass of sweet tea. Because that’s how they do it in Georgia.
I received a free e-copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.
What a great read. Nina owns a bed and breakfast. When someone is murdered she sets out to find the killer. To hear more read the book.
Theatre Turns Deadly....
The second Georgia B&B mystery and the annual Shakespeare festival is taking place in Cymbeline. Nina Fleet is host to a Shakespearean troupe - including, to her dismay, Harry Westcott. Theatre turns deadly, however, when the lead actor is found murdered and Nina is faced with a veritable troupe of suspects. Enjoyable cosy mystery, nicely written with a likeable protagonist and a colourful supporting cast of characters.
This is the 2nd installment in the Georgia B&B mystery series. Nina and her newly opened B&B missed getting in on the advertising for the upcoming Shakespeare Festival but she happens to get some late booking from the acting troupe is excited until she finds out Harry (whose Aunt owned the house before and he wants it back – last book) but she feels she must be professional. The acting troupe has lots of drama and soon the lead actor is dead in the B&B garden and Nina begins investigating. Mystery and Shakespeare how can you go wrong. Well written mystery that kept my interest and me engaged. Looking forward to the next installment.
Nina Fleet enters stage left when a troupe of traveling thespians stays at her Georgia B&B. One of the players dies by another’s hand, and Nina answers the call to action. After all, she can’t let her B&B become nefarious as the place people come to die.
This is my second Anna Gerard book, and it was just as wonderful as the first. A page-turner worth savoring.
I received an advance reading copy of this book through NetGalley.

Nina had her differences with Harry who is a few years younger than she is, he also has a history with the house she bought, which was the catalyst for their falling out. Now once again they are face to face and Nina was very wary of him, and her growing attraction to him but before anything untoward could happen, they are faced with a murder that took place right in Nina’s Shaksperain garden. Cool and engaging with great characters in a mildly intriguing and entertaining package.
Cymbeline, Georgia is preparing for their annual Shakespeare festival and the acting troupe that will be presenting the play is staying at Nina Fleet’s B&B. When they arrive she finds that her nemesis, Harry Westcott is their Director and suspects he is merely there to try and claim the house that was once his great aunt’s yet again. But money is money and Nina agrees to let the troupe stay...especially since the town depends on the money the festival raises.
When one of the actors passes away, Nina suspects murder most foul and she and Harry find themselves playing secret squirrel sleuths yet again. It they need to,keep their suspicions under wraps and raise the curtain on the culprit before any other lights dim again.
The second book in this series is just as enjoyable as the first. With a Victorian house, a Shakespeare garden, and a blue and brown eye Australian cattle dog, you can but help enjoy your time in Cymbeline.
Revisiting Nina Fleet’s Georgia B&B in Cymbeline was another wonderful escape for me. In addition, of course, in walks Harry with the Shakespearean cast for the annual Shakespeare Festival. Once again, Nina stumbles upon another body.
I thoroughly enjoyed Peachy Scream as much as I did Peach Clobbered by Anna Gerard, and I cannot wait for the next Georgia B&B Mystery.

I literally squealed with delight when I saw that there was a second book in this series available on NetGalley. I downloaded it immediately and began reading. I loved the first book in the series. I miss the nuns but am thrilled that Harry is back along with a troupe of Shakesperean actors.
It was cozy, entertaining and made me happy. I look forward to recommending it to my public library patrons.
I love a good cozy mystery and “Peachy Scream” is just that. I’m a sucker for your typical cozy mystery formula and the author follows it quite well. The victim isn’t very well liked and there are suspects abound. This was a very easy and fun read and I love novels that have great animal characters as well, in this case a dog named Mattie. Overall the second book in this series is a success and I look forward to reading future installments.
