Cute, easy summer read! It has an entertaining story and though nothing ground breaking, it has well developed and interesting characters and a plot that keeps you engaged until the end.

This was a light and fun read. Seeing as it was about a librarian named Molly, I had to pick it up! In a small town in Florida, a baby is found in the bathroom of a library. Children’s librarian Molly and new-to-town sheriff John work together to find out where the baby came from and what her connection might be to a string of break ins the town has been plagued by. Woven throughout is romance and a bit of humor. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an early copy of this book! 3.5 stars

***Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for providing me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
It pains me to write this. . .
No offense, Meg Cabot, but this is not up to par with your usual writing. I am usually pulled right in and desperate for more. Not so with this series. I couldn't even finish No Offense! I will always be a fan, but am saddened by this series.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the eARC.
Obviously the author is known to me, but I never read one of her books. I am glad I chose this one. I did not even know it was in a series until after I read it, so it definitely can stand alone, and I am interested in reading the 1st book in the series. I felt the book was a bit of Hallmark romance and mystery tied into one (I love Hallmark movies). Sweet charming romance novel about a sheriff trying to solve multiple crimes that are tied together and the librarian who thinks she is a sleuth and trying to help. Eventually, of course, they fall in love. The novel does have a sex scene, but is pretty clean. A great bridge for students who read her YA novels to bridge into adult romance.

Thank you Net Galley for the arc!

I was happy to see that Little Bridge Island would be its own series. I liked No Judgments just fine, but easily the best element was the setting. It really did feel lived in, so I was excited to see it again. Unfortunately, it is barely present in the book. The two main characters, John and Molly, are ok, but I really wanted more of them and less of the mystery. The book feels a bit like a Hallmark mystery movie except with more mature themes going on. It would work as a beach read, but other than that, I have a hard time really recommending it before other books like it in the same genre.

I wanted more - sad when it ended. I enjoyed the characters and even the side characters were interesting. It helped that the story took place in sunny Florida. The story took me on a much needed vacation 😊. Thank you Meg.

John Hartwell the town sheriff has been plagued by an uncatchable thief. Trying to balance work and being a single dad to a teenage daughter, he just needs a break, one clue in the case to the string of break-ins. That clue comes in the unlikely form of an abandoned baby found in the library by Molly Montgomery. Molly's new to town and happy to be restarting her life away from everything it used to be. Despite his warnings, she finds herself wrapped up in solving his case, and in him.

No Offense was a sweet, light read with a little bit of a mystery tied in. I liked that the main characters were not in their 20's, both are pretty well developed and likable. I have not read the first in the series and didn't feel lost in the plot, It read well as a standalone. It's a good cute, easy read for a quick distraction if you like contemporary romance and cozy mysteries.

I didn't read the first book in this series, but it didn't matter. This was a really cute story. A little heavy on the misunderstanding/awkward trope. But enjoyable nonetheless.

I love anything that Meg Cabot writes, and this book did not disappoint. It is the second book in the Little Bridge Island series. And in this we are introduced to Molly Montgomery, who is the new Children's Librarian. She loves her job and it happy with how everything is working out, until she finds a baby abandoned in the library's bathroom. When she calls 911, she is introduced to the gruff Sheriff John Hartwell. Molly takes it upon herself to investigate why someone would abandon a baby, and along the way butts head with the sheriff.

Molly has her hands full working as a public librarian, from dealing with a patron's inappropriate cookie decorating during a program to finding an abandoned baby in the restroom. There is never a dull moment. In addition to her day job she works in the evening for the local bed and breakfast owned by a friend of her mother's. When the local sherriff starts investigating the abandoned baby case he is intriqued by the new children's librarian in this little Florida town. As John and Molly are thrown together during a search for answers, a relationshp begins to blossom between this single dad and the new librarian. When John's daughter ropes him into dancing with her during the squad's annual mother-daughter fund-raising event, it is evident that a more serious relationship may be in the cards. Enjoyable and fast-paced.

No Offense is the latest in Meg Cabot's Little Bridge Island series, and focuses on the new librarian and the local sheriff of a small Florida island. The romance was believable and predictable (in a good way), and as always, Meg Cabot's writing style and humor was evident, as was her ability to fully transport the reader into the world of Little Bridge Island. I will definitely be re-reading this delightful book, and recommend it to anyone who wants a light romance with realistic (non-obnoxious) characters.

I adore Meg Cabot. I smile from the anticipation of reading a novel written by her, smile during the reading because of the characters and the story, and remain smiling after. she is a wonderful writer and No Offense was a good book!

This book was great! It was so easy to lose yourself in the story, and kept you turning pages to see what happened next! Will definitely be recommending!

I couldn't make it to the end of this one. The characters were flat and devolved into cliches. I had read the first in the series and wasn't terribly impressed, but at least that one had a plot that moved. I found myself wondering what I was even wasting my time reading this. I'm disappointed.

No Offense is an easy, breezy contemporary romance book.
This was a cute book. It isn't meant to be anymore then what it is, an entertaining and easy book to escape to.

I liked romance between the children's librarian and the divorced local sheriff, plus there is a mystery involving a baby abandoned in the library.

Book was well written, the characters weren't that complex but they were still nicely written. The conclusion of the book was well done and I will definitely continue with the series.

No Offense by Meg Cabot is a perfectly Cabot-y contemporary romance. This story takes place in the Florida Keys and is the second in Cabot's new series set in Little Bridge Island. It was fun to recognize some recurring characters from the first book in the series, No Judgements.

No Offense features a children's librarian lead, and as a librarian-in-training, I felt like this book pandered to me directly (minus the handsome cop romantic lead). Basically, spunky librarian gets caught up in a mystery that leads her to interactions with the town's sheriff. Hijinks and love ensue. Pretty cute; not groundbreaking stuff, but a funny, cute romance.

This was a really fun, fluffy read. I didn't realize it was part of a series until I finished it, so I went back and read the first book too. Definitely a great, little distraction read.

Launched into the character-driven world of Little Bridge Island, we meet the likable if a bit unrealistic Molly Montgomery, town Children’s Librarian. Molly is extremely focused on her dream job, and demonstrates compassion for everyone around her. When she encounters new town Sheriff John Hartwell, she’s thrown off by his demeanor (and looks), while he is thrown off by her assertive curiosity.

This light, gratifying love story is cozy and familiar. While Molly and John find their way together, a string of crimes threatens to pull them apart. The story is an enjoyable read – and Cabot gets bonus points for getting most everything about being a public librarian right – but it was pretty flat, with little character development. This will make for a good Saturday afternoon read for a fan of the genre, but lacks complexity that would make it more compelling and memorable.

I do love me some Meg Cabot, and some librarian main characters. This was breezy and fairly predictable, but I am not opposed to that in any way some days. I love the small town setting, too.

Quite slow in the beginning, to the point where I had to take a break and pump myself up before starting it again. As a youth library assistant, reading a story like this was quite exciting as it was the first romance novel I read with a librarian in the Youth department! I wanted to connect with this so bad, but it was cliched to the point where I was taken out of the zone of reading. It didn’t keep my attention as much as I wanted it to. A great plot idea, but wasn’t executed well for me.
