I love Cassandra Calin's comics, they are both intricately drawn but incredibly mundane and realistic to everyday life and that's what makes them so relatable! I've enjoyed her comics online for a while now and definitely enjoyed this collection.
A short collection of cute comics that can be read through in about 10 minutes, is relatable on the most basic level, and would be better suited to residing on social media.
This is a relatable book and collection of illustrations. I’ve followed her on social media since reading the book. It’s a great gift-able book to any person in your life.

I loved this book so much! It was so cute and I could really relate to the writing and the character. I would definitely read another book by this author and I look forward to it.
OMG I'm obsessed! This is literally my life to a T! She had me rolling with laughter!!! I will be interested in checking out her other titles...so so good!
I loved this book! I found it super motivating and relatable. I read it awhile ago but I still remember loving it and flying through it. I think this book will be good for girls and women to take in.
Each comic takes up a single page, making this a quick but very pleasant read. I related to a few so much that I had to show friends.
This would be a cosy little comic to read on the days when you don't feel like going out. As you can guess from the title, it features an introvert and shows daily life with some exaggeration to make it fun. A relatable read.

Such a fun collection of short comics about first-world-millenials problems. Her portrayal of some of her daily challenges are extremely relatable.
I've been following Cassandra for many years now and she never dissapoints.
I thank Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for an ARC to read and review.
Alright, of the three graphic novels I’m reviewing today, this is the one I recommend the most. It’s the type of graphic novels I never truly know how to rate and review as it’s not a story that flows page to page. Instead, I guess, you’d consider this a coffee table read.
I Left the House Today! is a collection of short, usually 1 per page, comics that readers will find humorous and relatable. Cassandra covers topics from the struggles of controlling your hair, with motivation, and with relationships. It’s the type of images that you silently giggle too and think mood.
Honestly, I think another aspect that really appealed to me is that “I left the house today!” is the type of achievement I have to really celebrate lately. Living in a pandemic with messy mental health isn’t always easy, and sometimes you have to accept small wins. I do think this is something that Cassandra has been able to achieve with this book, it’s a nice reminder to celebrate yourself. Even if it really is as simple as cheering I brushed my hair today, I did the washing this week, or of course, I left the house today!
Plenty of these images I could see myself in, and Cassandra’s art is really lovely to look at. But ultimately, for me at least, it’s a one and done type of read which is why I struggle to really rave about it.
If you’re someone who likes to have quirky lil art books and finds yourself returning to them as a bit of comfort, this is definitely the graphic novel for you.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
"I left the house today!" is a collection of comics about everyday life experiences that we all go through. Cassandra Calin's humor is so simple but at the same time comical, it will make you want to send many of the vignettes to your friends. It's a perfect gift for all the Sarah Andersen fans.
The timing of the comic was really something!
Publish in the middle of the pandemic of covid, when everyone in the world was in doors, this one gives hope and a little of a cozy feeling.
Bringing the story of a young woman who works from home and suffers with anxieties that this brings, even getting a little introspective.
Very relatable and perfect for those who like short and funny comics.
Cassandra Calin is an inspiration in more ways than one! This collection of comics is so so splendidly hilarious. I love the simplicity of her work, in terms of how easy it is to relate to her stories and even connect to others around.
Kudos, again, for this one!
I Left the House Today is a collection of comics on regular, relatable, day to day occurrences. This ranges across the seasons from feeling exhaustion, jubilation when you realise a dress has pockets, boobs and bra problems, and the one I loved – when you have eaten a yogurt and wake up in a cold sweat much later on in bed, thinking did I put the yogurt pot in the bin and the spoon in the sink or did I put the yogurt pot in the sink and the spoon in the bin? The comics were a joy and made me chuckle.
I found Cassandra Carlin’s comics deeply relatable and often humorous. I will definitely seek out more of her work.
This was a lovely book of short comics that left me feeling nostalgic and laughing out loud! The comics were so relatable and found myself wanting to share them with my daughter as well! Such a good reminder that you can laugh at what life throws at you!
